That's really true. I thought only salicylic acid could help. Now that it is winter, I tried a Cetaphil moisturiser before sleeping and it worked wonders in clearing up sebaceous filaments.
@@bluenic0le That's very true. I wake up with an amazingly smooth skin with that combination. My skin barrier got damaged at the start of winter, so for now I'm avoiding exfoliation. So, moisturiser is very handy, especially helps control oil around the nose area.
are you me? Lol. Because I dealt with the same thing at the start of winter too... sometimes I get carried away and try to push the limits when I get new products because my skin barrier can take a beating buuuut I'm getting older now and learned my lesson 😅 I just started using a heavier cream at night and it's worked wonders. Hydration really is so important to keep the skin regulated! I alternate between using a water-free/oil based salicylic serum under the cream or a salicylic&sulfur spot treatment on top.
I have oily skin. Tried a moisturiser with Urea in it, clogged up my pores like crazy. I suspect the Cicaplast would make me break out too. I use a cheap basic moisturiser without fragrance, because Dr. Dray influenced me years ago. Works for me.
chances are it's not the urea. Cicaplast can make you break out if you have acne prone skin or fungal acne bc it has shea butter and the formulation is very thick, even if says "non comedogenic"
Aswell as dry acne prone skin!! You don’t just get acne from oily skin I have extremely dry skin I was diagnosed with sjogren’s which is a dry skin, eyes and mouth and I have acne I remember when I went in they did a scan to see how much moisture I had on my face and there was the smallest dot on the screen it was brutal how dry my skin is but I just bought this and started using it I broke out a little bit but I got to keep using it for a while to see if it helps the other one that I really like is aveeno’s oat balm! It makes my skin feel amazing I can’t stop touching it when I apply in!
@@CharlieKarateeffaclar for oily skin is the cleanser she is referring to. It works wonders! It’s not in a bottle. It’s in a white tube (wider than a tube of toothpaste).
@@zonnebloemsummer6435 Use the medicated cleanser in the white tube….Effaclar (LRP) The blue bottle one for normal skin is good but it doesn’t get rid of the filaments like the white bottle. You may want to buy both at first anyway because the white bottle/tube is strong if you aren’t used to it (Effaclar at night (white) and blue bottle LRP for normal skin in the morning. Note: it takes very little of this cleanser it works up to a good lather. You may not think so at first but if you keep moving the cleanser around your face you will understand.
Yes that is so true. I use the minimalist vitamin b5 oil free moisturizer in the daytime as my nose is an oil factory, and the aveeno facial moisturizer at night. The aveeno moisturizer has made such a huge difference in my skin. I had overexfoliated my skin a few months ago. I stopped using any actives, just simple face wash, and a sunscreen. I've started using adapalene again now that my skin has healed, but i keep it very simple and focus on my skin barrier a lot more than i used to. Thanks Dr dray
I really want to use a moisturizer but after trying so many I'm convinced they encourage whiteheads & sebaceous hyperplasia for me....because both increase when I moisturize. I wsh i could find something that didn't 🤔
This was me for years until I tried curel fragrance free lotion. It's a giant bottle and only $11 at target. I think it's a body moisturizer. It has no fragrance or oil and very minimal ingredients. All other moisturizers I've tried break me out!
I wakeup with 1kg oil on my face, i cant use any moisturizer with any oil (shea mia what ever healthy) i still break out ..and these little dark bast... on the nose never go away 😭please dr share any good alternatives thanks alot. love ❤
I have this lying around and haven’t known how to use it. It’s so damn thick. I have been using it for dry parts of my brows and around my nose! Stunts here I come!!
Yes, she does (check her pregnancy playlist). Also, check dermatology channels that have gone through pregnancy like tea with md, dr. sam ellis, dr. jenny liu.
Well, yes, but only if you properly hydrate and/or moisturize your skin prior to using it. Petrolatum is an occlusive which means it makes a barrier for whatever you have going on underneath. After you cleanse your face, try a hydrating toner/light moisturizer then the PJ 💫
