Having used Husqvarna battery trimmers for a few years now watching something like this is actually quite surreal - All those years I spent with the noise, vibration, fumes, smell of petrol trimmers seems like a distant unpleasant memory

Nooo, it’s the delicious smell of 2 stroke engines 💨😊

For small hedgecutters, I have the Stihl HS45, which is a great machine. It does vibrate like a bastard and very noisy but performs very well. The best in my opinion though is the Husqvarna 122HD60! It's lighter, quieter, more comfortable to use and cuts just as good as the Stihl! For the bigger stuff, I use the Stihl HS81R & Husqvarna 522HDR75X, both of which are absolute beasts!

I have the Texas HTL2300, it performs like a beast with a 22.5cc cold starts on 1 pull, doesn't vibrate very cheap, and does wonders! :)

Nice video guys. Been trimming hedges for 20 years now and the Makita DUH601 is hands down the best in this class - you don't even need ear protection and the vibrations are minimal. I would never ever go back in time to 2 stroke

A very good and comprehensive comparison. All decent machines by the look of them but I’d take the Stihl, only because I’ve no knowledge of the others really

Well, the intro was nice, he sounds a little backwoodsy and countryfied but maybe with more practice he'll improve. 🤣👍🏼

Thank you guys for the great video. One correction though, according to its manual the cutting capacity of Webb WEHC600 is not 35mm but 25mm instead

Top review but as you know the Mitox is my favourite. After the faultless service I had from you guys and the after sales service after I bought my Mitox long reach hedge cutters I will be sticking with Mitox. And 3.30 beat the rest. Oh and just one other thing I love the turntable.

Great test guys - amazing how much work these little machines delivers. In choosing between the 4 models - i'd go with the Stihl - as it is the only one of the 4 which can run 50:1 mix - the others requires 40:1 and are likely to smoke more.

I've had my fair share of petrol trimmers over the years.. I really like Efco stuff actually. I find it's pretty underrated. Also Echo make some nice lightweight stuff. I'm all Ego battery now for my trimmers... Wouldn't go back!
@MachineryNation
@MachineryNation Год назад
Yes they make some good ones. I will agree that personally I would choose a battery powered trimmer 👍🏼

Same. But for battery products. Have a 500 series grass trimmer and a 700 series hedge trimmer and they both work awesome. Also had a look at Still, but it was manly marketing (AK 36v) Stiga offers more for the same money.

Whilst there is definitely still room in the market for some petrol tools (that battery cannot match (yet), petrol hedge trimmers are dead. Battery trimmers are far superior.

Why no Echo equipment? Bar 90cc+ saws we’ve changed everything over from husky and Stihl….

We invite manufacturers to send us the products and unfortunately Echo did not send us one. We hope they get involved in the future 👍🏼 if you are changing everything to does this mean we need to call you EchoKev? 😂😂
