Sauce recipe can be found here: • Italian homemade meatb... Gnocchi: 12 yellow potatoes 6 cups white flour (add more depending on the texture of your dough. You don't want it to be too soft) 2 eggs Salt to taste
Married at 14 years old you were a baby and you’re still with your husband all these years and now these days nobody wants to stay together anymore. Love your story.
I’m used to making German spaetzle and goulash for my big family - I use like 4 pounds of flour for it. My SIL once asked for the recipe but for like 4 people. I told her I don’t understand he request.
Tools like the one she showed that's over 100 years old are precious. My grandma has several of those- An old knife, a tea set and a meat-knife, all of which she got from HER grandma, all of which are still in use and are not at risk of going bad/dull. They were all hand-made and passed down, made just after WWI according to what my grandma heard from hers.
I was eating a cookie when Nonna said he serenaded her. I dropped my cookie and my jaw dropped. Ohhhh how romantic. I love all these memories and dishes that your family shares. Made my night. Thank you 😍❤️
God bless this beautiful family. Your grandparents remind me of my nonno Gio and nonna Maria Carmela. They came to the US from the Amalfi Coast. They used to cook the same, same expressions, same good hearts, blessings. Love all of the videos.
I miss home made Italian food. It's the best! 👌 My sister married an Italian and she speaks his dialect, cooks Italian. We all used to live together and I really loved all the Italian dinners with lots of people around the table. Good memories. 😊
God bless them!I was also very young when I met my husband. He was my 1st and only boyfriend. We met when I was 11 and he was 13. We have been together ever since. It's been 25 yrs! 😅💞 It's all about sacrifice and working together to better our childrens future. We are still relatively young so alot of people try to whisper in our ear about all the things we're missing out on. That's just the good ole evil eye trying to get at us! Lol! The old school ways are truly rewarding💝👩❤️👨🤍
@@Wildcattr1that is because they do live life the Italian way which walk and move your ass around thus you burn all those carbs off & not really gain weight...
In Poland we have our own version of gnocchi. They are called "kopytka" and we use cold mashed potatoes instead of hot ones. And i think no egg is added but this will be a combination of normal flour and starch in proper proportion. Butvthe form of polish kopytka is the same. I love this dish. It is served 1) roasted onion 2) gravy sauce and beef 3) sweet with butter and sugar (but then polish gnocchi is made of processed cheese instead of potatos. I love your videos, i love this family!
Thank you for sharing this. Made me think of my Mom guiding me in the kitchen. They both put so much love into their food. I will never be able to cook like my Mama did. Sure do miss her. You have a beautiful family. If you want to adopt and feed me, I will pay you and, I'm a great cleaner. Lol.
Yes! The best thing if you love your children and grandchildren is to teach them this one valuable skill to keep your hands out of your pockets. If your hands are in your pockets, you cannot work! Such valuable skills!-John's wife
p.s. Nonno has an emergency bandaid when he made the beautiful salad. lol! You both are beautiful! This is true love, through everything! Nonna, your dinners are incredible and the best part is being with family, you are an amazing family! ❤-John's wife
Awwww I just found you guys and wow… I love when the next generation get completely deep dove into their grandparents because they truly made this county amazing. I loved hanging out with my grandmas and mom and they taught me more I realize everyday in so many situations. Hope you guys are all doing well and big hugs from Kitchener 🇨🇦💗
THAT IS SO AWESOME WHEN THE FAMILY WORKS ALL TOGETHER BECAUSE YOU HARDLY DONT SEE THIS ANYMORE. YOUR MOM LOOKS JUST LIKE YOUR NONNA. TOO CUTE. THANK YOU FOR SHARING LOVE YOUR BLOG ❤
This reminds me of my grandmother making cavatelli with the machine from Italy that you crank and feed the strips of pasta into it. Amazing, great memories. Make sure you learn these techniques from the grandparents, because no one knows how to do this today.
Nonna's have cast iron fingers. Seeing her working with the still steaming potatoes reminded me of my own nonna. And then when she gives nonno the business at the end about saying thank you, hilarious. Homemade potato gnocchi are my favorite. Your channel is giving me so much nostalgia, thank you so much.
Thank you so much for sharing your Nonna and the rest of your family with us!!!!! ❤ God bless you all!! Of course Nona’s cooking is fantastic…….I still miss my Mom and Grandmas’ cooking and I’m 75……ha, ha, ha!!!!
Gnocchi was my favorite food growing up and my mom is Brazilian!😅 I’m glad I was raised eating multicultural food!!🥰🎉Thank you for this recipe Nona❤️I’ll try to make it soon!🥹
I had the good fortune to be fed by a nonna for around three years a lifetime ago. This video brought back the memory of some wonderful meals. (Do all Italian kitchens of a certain era look the same across the world??)
@@cassieo4337Ty, I did not realize this. I guess when you've made them for years, this is known as basic common sense. Which is important to those of us without this skill ha haa! ty again. -John's wife
Questo è buona vita!!! Love u all! Love to see your videos and remember my childhood with my own Nona Eloa Pedrotti! Thanks for sharing “our Italian recipes”, cause life is much better with Italian love!
Oh these people warm my heart and make it ache at the same time! I miss my Nonna and Nonno so much when I see these two. I also just miss being in the kitchen with my momma, Nonna, sister and aunt….not to mention the food that came out of it all.😃 My aunt, momma and Nonna used to make a St. Joseph’s altar every year. Man that was a bunch of hard work! Nonna could work circles around all of us when we did that. Cannoli were my favorite but that was really hard work too. I got Nonna’s cannoli rods that you wrap the dough around for the shells. I’m ashamed I haven’t ever tried to make them.😕. I do truly love these videos! Thanks for sharing with us!
Che bel ricordo, un oggetto casalingo della nonna materna. ..si avverte un po' di nostalgia.Brava , ha portato con sé, oltre il continente, cose a cui è legata affettivamente❤❤
Tip for the day: Never watch this channel when you are hungry! Nonna's gnocchi puts store bought to shame. As a bonified "fan girl" of Nonni....... give him some credit. He assembled that salad with his injury and homemade emergency band-aid. 😊
My Italian mother in law showed me how to make gnocchi but we made the with regotta cheese . She said they’re not as heavy in the stomach like potato! But there both delicious and a lot of work! Love your nonna ! She’s the best !
OOOHH MY GOODNESS, HOW I ABSOLUTELY LOVE YOUR FAMILY AND NONNA AND NONNO ALWAYS MAKES ME SMILE. At least a smile, often I actually laugh along with you all. I just ADORE and ADMIRE how you all get together and have one of Nonna’s divine and delicious meals for lunch. It’s ABSOLUTELY PERFECT♥️ Thank you again for sharing your beautiful family and stories with us all. I LOVE the stories also. I’m going to TRY and make Nonna’s gnocchi again. I tried a little while back, but I obviously did something wrong because it tasted bland and was quite doughy. Definitely not nice at all. Fingers crossed I get it right this time.🤣🤞🏼 Please keep sharing your lives together, with all of these awesome stories. Sending love, hugs, many thanks and the very best of wishes, from Melbourne, Australia♥️♥️♥️♥️
I had a polish Grandmother, although the food was different it all seems the same to me. She also had the heat proof fingers and cooked for 20.. It's been many years since she passed and I am in tears just thinking about her. I miss her so much.
Gnocchi! Mmmmm! It's one of my favorite Italian dishes! Mmm! I remember making it with my gramma. I make it with my daddy now. 😊❤ Shirley and Skittles 🐈
What I LOVED about watching this, la nonna made you all participate in making the gnocchi 😅a very memorable day and the time with her is priceless!!! Enjoy guys, make sure you will learned all what she can teach you all!!! You may learn some of it you tube anywhere else but it’s her time with you all🎉❤❤❤timeless 🥰🥰🥰
Wonderful! Nonna's food looks like it's so delicious, it's a wonder any of you can fit through the door. Love the story of Nonna and Nonno's romance and betrothal.
