My husband and I made this lasagna last night. It was the first one we have ever made and we were NOT DISAPPOINTED! It was so good!!! Thank you for this amazing recipe!
Cant wait to make it tomorrow! 😁 I still make your guacamole recipe to this day! I have received so many compliments! Siracha sauce is a must and brings the flavour to a whole other level! 😍 Love how your recipes are simple and dont have to get that one special ingredient and not use it up! 👌
I've been waiting for this recipe since you guys eat it so often and rave about it! I'll be honest, I'm a huge ricotta fan so the idea of lasagna without it, doesnt *feel* like lasagna to me, but I know I have to try based on your guys' reaction!
I made one with bechamel years ago and never used ricotta again. It's not as gritty and you can make a variety of cheese sauces with it like a mornay sauce. :)
I tried this tonight and I have to say it tastes pretty damn amazing. I substituted the beef for turkey and you hardly miss the red meat with this recipe! I added a little bit of milk to the pasta jar to extract the rest of the red sauce, and it definitely added a little bit of creaminess to the sauce. I recommend this recipe 10/10 :))
Benji! Just made this for my bf for fathers day because his favorite food is lasagna. I honestly don't know why I haven't made this before now!! Absolutely delicious! I need to work on my bechamel, but other than thst, WOW! Also, I'm a huge fan of the vlogs, been watching for about 10 years now! Thanks for sharing this lasagna recipe, excited for the pizza one :D
Omg! I just made this with some modifications and its was the bomb! I substituted the meat with ground plant based 'beef' and used 1/2 parmesan+1/2 mozrella , and threw some extra black pepper and garlic salt in the bechamel sauce. BOMB DIGIDDY.
I made this the other night for dinner. I’m an intermediate cook & the recipe was easy to follow. My fiancé loved it, he said “this is your new dish” so I know what I’m bringing to my nephew’s bday party on Saturday! Thx for the recipe 😊👩🏾🍳
I'd try it but traditionally speaking ricotta cheese is a must.. atleast for me and fresh basil and tomatoes for the sauce. The white sauce isn't Italian its more popular in French cuisine but I'd definitely have a slice thanks! 😉
Pretty sure he's made it the regular way before, but he likes to put in his own twist as he goes, so it's Benji's lasagna! I am making this and I am definitely adding other ingredients in as well to make it even more flavorful. Ricotta cheese isn't totally necessary. I've gone without it and don't really miss it.
@@rdidri Bechamel is the traditional way. If you like ricotta then by all means do whatever suits you, but ricotta is a more "Americanized" filling (sort of). But mozzarella isn't traditional either, so who really cares. At the end of the day it's a pasta casserole, do whatever you want!
@@BenjiManTV pastitsio has got exactly the same ingtedients and it is as tasty as lasagna. You just use different kind of pasta .Ligtly greese your pyrex and sprinkle bread crumbs then stack pasta ,meat sauce, pasta ,bechamel and cheese. Before you do that take a couple of egg whites whisk them ,add some cheese and stir you pasta in it. Give it a go !
I‘m from germany and never heard of lasagna with ricotta cheese! Always with Béchamel over here. Trying your recipe right now and I think i will switch mine to this one 🤤 already looks sooo good can’t wait till it’s done. Thank you!
I literally went out to buy the ingredients and making this right now. It smells delicious and super excited to take a bite for the final product! Thanks for the recipe!!!! 🤤
The browning on that cheeeeese!!! 😘 *Chef's Kiss* literal P E R F E C T I O N!!! 🧀🧀🧀 Gonna scale this down to half and try it. My lasagna is notorious for noodles trying to escape the pan 🤣🤦🏾♀️
THANK YOU finally!! 🙌🏼😛 sooo excited to try making this!! I always get so jelly when I see you guys eating this in the vlogs 😆 so appreciative of you sharing your recipes with us! Stay safe 😊
THIS LOOKS SO DELICIOUS 😭 I don't know how to cook but I'm definitely going to try this one out since I love eating lasagna. Thank you for this Benji!!! 💛
Ok! I have been following along with the fam for years now. Y'all's food always looks sooo good. I am vegetarian, mostly vegan aside from trying the occasional cheese or pizza. So- I wanted to hop on here and say thank you for posting this recipe. I successfully made this lasagna using all plant based meat/sausage/and cheeses. Even the beschemel, with plant based butter. I subbed out the onions and garlic since I've been having reactions to those wonderful foods. (Sad, because I loved me some sauteed onions my whole youth). But I used mushrooms and broccoli. It was absolutely delicious. Any vegetarians out there- it is possible! And it is so worth it! I cannot wait to bring this to a family gathering and shock everyone that it isn't cheese and meat but still so good! Thank you, again! And love to you, Judy and your wonderful children!
i'm italian and when my mom and nonna make tomato sauce, they add a teaspoon of sugar to offset the acidity of the tomatoes, and i'd say ketchup isn't too different since it's mostly sugar and tomato haha :)
I tried this today! I used oven ready pasta and it was amazing. I am shook. I accidentally made 2 huge pans, so I think my bf and I are going to be eating this for the next week and 1/2. I don't mind though! Soooooo good!
Excellent lasagna! I'm on keto diet, so instead of pasta used cabbage leaves, for the béchamel sauce instead of flour psyllium, fantastic lasagna! Thank you!
Thank you so much for posting this. My kids love lasagna. I finally decided to make it with my daughter for the first time following this recipe. Only thing is I used 4 cheese Mexican blend and ground chicken instead. It came out great 🤩🤩. 👌🏾👌🏾👌🏾. Delicious
Been using this recipe for a year now whenever I make lasagna and my family loves it. When I'm feeling lazy about shredding my own cheese, I use the bag of parmesan and mozzarella cheese and they still come out perfect and yummy 🤤 I make two small dishes of this and freeze the other one sometimes. If you do freeze them, let it thaw for 24hrs in the fridge and bake it for 60-70mins instead of 40. Then broil it like normal.
Dropping by to say that this lasagna recipe is BOMBDOTCOM! Tried this last night and my mama loves it with 5 thumbs up! Thank you for this recipe Benji! Love from PH 🇵🇭
