The Best Hotel in Luxor, Egypt | The Winter Palace 

We stayed here 3 times - wonderful place .

Agatha Christie stayed in the Winter Palace, but wrote Death on the Nile in the Old Cataract Hotel in Aswan. Lord Canarvon is pronounced CAR-NAR-VON, NOT "Can-air-von"

A breath of fresh air. Finally travellers with information. And good info as well. It is severly lacking. Traveling is all about information. Traveling is input of new informaton to your mind and senses.

Wow. What a beautiful hotel. I just checked the price and it’s $500 a night for the next April 2025. 😢

I assume you did not take a cruise? We are thinking of only staying on land; Luxor, Aswan and Abu Simbel. My father visited in the 1930s and my mother in 1950. I have pictures.Cruises on the nicer ships are very expensive and quite frankly not so sure it's worth it.

Howard Carter actually had his own house in Egypt and didn't live in the Hotel
