Yo Nick, why am I over here binge watching all these old Hawk Pro videos and absolutely loving them! Thank you for the years of dedication within this industry. Been learning alongside you through your videos as I started around the same time. ✌️-Joel
Yeah I sometimes throw like 4 or 5 ounces in there these days for super power. Lol I still love pol star it really is amazing but if you play around with too much product I've noticed it *can* leave streaks
@@DAT-TEXAS-DUDE Pol Star is a less aggressive variation intended for interior use. Green star is more powerful and can be used in pretty much anything: the exterior of the car, mixed up with your shampoo to increase its cleaning power, you could even use it to clean your garage. Beware, you will need to dilute it a LOT if you plan to use Green Star for interiors, that's why Pol Star exists in the first place as a safer alternative.
I've been using this on a roof liner of a car with a sunroof which kept on leaking. Absolutely amazing results, I could wipe the dirt like it was on a ceramic tile, not delicate upholstery. As you've briefly mentioned, the key is to have distilled water, because hard water leaves stains and they're quite hard to get. I use it 1/10 in a hand foamer, and been using it on everything car interior: door panels, the carpets, upholstery, anything. I keep it by the door and clean my shoes with it, it's so good. It could seem expensive, as it's somewhere around 15e, and there are products on the market which cost 3-5e, but if you factor in its dilution, and how much you actually make, it totally pulls in the long run. What I like the most is the fact that this solution is safe, it doesn't attach adhesive, paint, leather, nothing.
@@HawkProDetailing seems to work good. I have been using it with a knock off metro blower combined with an outlet remote control since I don't have a compressor.
Yea six more months in Deutschland then we head home. I really like the multi purpose cleaner and I just received the snow foam today. I’ll hopefully get to try it this weekend. I’ll mix in some all purpose cleaner with the snow foam and see how it does.
Wow! You did a great job. More than the product, it was actually you who did a really good job. Just one quick question. Don't the electronics stop working coz you've sprayed so much fluid over the switches?
Dude I didn't even realize how good it was. One of my guys is kind of picky with products...he likes what he likes not necessarily what I tell him to like lol... and I hadn't used pol star all that much but i made a big Koch chemie order this summer and had some around.. anyway, he was new so I knew I couldn't throw APC in his hands and trust him. From day one he was raving about the stuff...I love the foaming but I also love that you can drench a leather seat... let it dry... and come back with no damage. It blew my mind because it actually has a lot of punch as a cleaner...
Entertaining, informative, instructional... and yet somehow mysteriously enchanting. 🙂. Seriously though, thanks again for taking the trouble to create a great video.
Few questions for this video as a follow-up. 1. How does dwell work in direct sunlight? 2. Is this a car you detail frequently? If so what conditioners or coatings have you applied previously? 3. As a business owner why would I choose this product over 3D's APC in 5-gallon choice? 4. What does the trim dye/restore do to the colored stitching in the upholstery?
1) in sunlight ALWAYS use common sense. I wouldn't let anything dwell on hot vinyl or plastic -- let alone paint -- if it's in direct sunlight. 2) nope first time I've detailed it 🙂 3) if you are a business owner and don't have employees who can mess stuff up when u are not looking...and you like what you use... and it's getting you results and you like the price...stick with it🙂 4) cera trim won't mess up stitching...I would tell you you are over thinking it lol but I do the same thing. Cera trim is the last resort cover up or restore an old farm truck kinda product. For $20 it might be worth trying pol star and if you don't like it call me out lol. You still want a good APC around but imagine not being afraid of overspray from your apc bottle hitting a piece of plastic or another leather seat that you don't see until an hour later.... chances are the apc won't leave permanent damage but it only takes one time...
@@HawkProDetailing not trying to be over critical on this video. It’s very well done and I appreciate the information. I am always interested in new products. I just hate to invest in more expensive products for economy detailing. But if it will speed up the cleaning process and reduce labor that’s 100% worth the extra cost to me. Keep putting out quality work. I appreciate your response and info.
I WAS using F- bomb and P&S Xpress Interior Cleaner depending on the dirt/grime. I love Po’s foaming/cleaning action and will be giving this a try. Thanks for sharing so many useful tips.
Might be my phone that I'm watching on but your sound is so low I can hardly hear. Is there s standard limit you guys work to when creating so it comes across reasonable? Cheers
Can you compare it to P&S express detailer it’s the best I’ve ever used I use it on all my details 1:1 you can buy 5 gallons for $65 the value is insane
P & S Xpress Interior has similar foaming capabilities and is significantly cheaper. Also available in gallons. I’ve been very happy with the results. I’ve also been eyeing Gtechniq Tri Clean. Similar price point to Pol Star with added benefit of being antibacterial and anti microbial.
For sure man...so many good products out there. The thing with koch is I haven't used a product of theirs that has disappointed. H9 compound is amazing. M3 polish is amazing. Green star as apc is great. And pol star. Now...with that said...I'm told price point in Europe is cheaper so I think we are paying a little more right now...hopefully prices come down. At $20 for green star i can find another apc...but pol star is too good man. There isn't enough time in the world to try all products though🤣
@@HawkProDetailing Agreed. Tons of great products out there. When you find a good quality brand for multiple items it certainly makes life easier. Yo can’t deny the German products are quality. I found P & S and have really enjoyed multiple products in their lineup. Likely inexpensive due to being manufactured in US and doing their own blending.
When you factor in dilution ratio of Pol Star (can be used 10:1 for most situations), it comes out pretty competitive with P&S Xpress Interior Cleaner in terms of price. One thing to be aware of that I haven't seen anyone talk about in these types of auto detail videos, is that Koch Chemie and CarPro 5 liter bottles use a different lid size than what's standard in the US. So if you've invested in a lot of Tolco gallon proportioners, they won't work for CarPro or Koch Chemie products (unless you pour them into standard US gallon containers).
@@HawkProDetailing for us in Europe for apc, Green star and Mzr as strong APCs from koch chemie , and Surfex HD from Bilt Hamber ( 17euro ( 20 usd for 5litlers ( 1,5 gallons)..are our most beloved. Many great ones here cost effective for us , as the above products valet pro classic apc, autosmart g101 e.t.c many options
I'm excited to try this new APC from Koch Chemie. And it seems that Koch's product's are value minded but work amazing. I know Jon over at the Forensic Detailing Channel likes their stuff too. It looks absolutely amazing on this video. I am all about the foam (maybe it's just the visual thing which reinforces in my mind it's working) and this looks to foam up great. Plus the finish it appears to leave behind is exactly how I like mine to look. I'm buying this one right now.
That's an amazing cleaner not only because of the cleaning power but because of the foam it's just crazy and it's pretty good pH neutral!!! I wish there was another cheaper option
I've tried a lot of products...I will say with Koch chemie you get what you pay for. Look for prices to drop as they make a bigger push into the states... I'm told it's super economical in Europe but I agree I was a little shocked at price tag at first
@@HawkProDetailing I mean it looks like an amazing product really, if they lower the price a little they sure have me because I've been looking for a interior cleaner like this one for a while
@@HawkProDetailing would you recommend any other products to clean interior panels and leather for cheaper? I bought some CG all surface cleaner and says 20:1 to interior clean so I want to see how it does but I'm not sure if it's safe for leather
@@eugenescherzinger4395 yes, u do that too. I use GS on wheels if they aren't too bad. I presoak the lower panels if I'm not doing a complete decon wash. I still use GS as my APC.
I am using the professional line of Koch Chemie for detailing but I was wondering why you use PS for the plastics since it’s declared for the upholstery alcantara and leather? I use MZR and/or ASC from Koch Chemie for plastic parts as the door panels, depending on the dirt level…
Sorry to be so off topic but does any of you know of a tool to log back into an instagram account..? I was dumb forgot my account password. I would appreciate any assistance you can offer me.
@Christopher Marcelo thanks for your reply. I got to the site thru google and Im waiting for the hacking stuff now. Takes a while so I will get back to you later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
Came to the comments to see if anyone thought the same, rest of the car suspiciously clean, and the dirt looks as if its just been rubbed on. Also, I'm not sure on steaming leather, or electricals for that matter! 😂
It's great on everything except windows lol. It's a stupid good cleaner, I actually was talking to an online detail supply store and I asked him to tell me his #1 best product for price point and effectiveness and without hesitation he said pol star...
It’s funny how all these Detailers were talking cchhitt about Scott & this product when he first introduced Koch Chemie to the usa … now everyone is usen Koch Chemie lol smh 🤦♂️
Hows this vs ps xpress interior cleaner.. i use a rinse less wash for interior but have some white smears from lotion maybe that the onr wont get out.. looking for a gentle cleanser
I put an Amazon link in description...I would order from them and support the channel:) or there are a few other distributors...I have a link in description to Koch chemie Texas... but no matter where you buy you probably get hit with shipping so the 5 bucks on Amazon isn't too bad
@@HawkProDetailing awww dude! That sucks the big one! Single best APC I've ever tried in my life. I literally use this for EVERYTHING. Cleans literally everything on or in a car. I've also used it to clean my bikes, my deck, my house carpets, the walls, tiles, the oven, trainers, my driveway, the upvc window frames, my shutters - you name it! The equivalent of $22 for 5 litres and its dilutable right down to 1:250. Although I tend to use it at 5% for 99% of things and 10% for ridiculously stubborn dirt and grease. Right now, Bilt Hamber make the best APC, the best Iron Fallot remover, the best snow foam, the best water spot remover and the best alloy wheel cleaner by a long, long, long way! Somebody in the states needs to start importing their stuff as I promise you man, they will NEVER be able to keep it in stock once word gets out!
I usually use Optimum Power Clean at 10:1 for all interior leather, vinyl, and plastics. I've never had any issue with streaking, even if slightly dried on a hot panel in the sun. Is this really that worthwhile to try?
I love power clean man don't get me wrong. It can be super powerful if you go too strong though. 10:1 is great tho and power clean foams too. But I haven't bought power clean in a long time...I will be buying pol star again....but I have technicians now and they clean without me watching so its a trust thing . To me its just peace of mind that any little dots of spray that I dont see land on a leather seat or dash .... won't cause damage. Lol I can go to town. But use what works man if u don't have issues no need to spend more money 🤣
Hawk Pro Detailing I appreciate the response. I love using multi-dimensional (purpose) products vs having one tool for each specific task, especially dilute-able ones. I might purchase a bottle and replace OPC for a detail or two and see how it goes. If I like it, I debate about buying more. If not, it'll get relegated to cabinet duty to collect dust. Thanks for sharing this review, I'm interested to learn more about Kick Chemie.
Also I’ve seen your older videos where you used a rinseless wash inside the car. Do you still do that,? If so, what are the circumstances when to use it?
Bought it was not impressed thanks a lot Hawk Pro 😂😂😂 but really P&S interior express is a lot better 1:1 you should try it and then you can take down this video or re-name the video to the 2nd best interior cleaner 😂
