The BEST it’s been since 91' (Central Florida) 

growing up surfing new smyrna, Sebastian inlet, Pelican and Melbourne i know that stoke of a perfect east coast day ..... such a good feeling riding unicorns....for the dream

I grew up surfing all over Florida from the early 1980's through the 2010's and in your dad's defense ......when it's 40 degrees in Florida......it's freezing ! I live in Missouri now and when it's in the 40's .....I'm the guy in flip flops and shorts and a t-shirt ! In Florida at 40 degrees the locals dressed like they're going on an Arctic expedition ! Surf looked really fun ! I surfed Ft.Pierce North Jetty on the morning of the Halloween swell in 91' and the Boardwalk in Melbourne that afternoon .......it was the biggest I've ever seen that part of Florida get at both places ! I have seen Reef rd. at a solid 20' +++ back in 1989 and the only place Ive seen bigger was Hermosa Beach in Costa Rica on macker of a South swell in the mid 1990's ! It was cartoon big with no channels anywhere ! Guys out on 9'-10' guns and they looked like ants on a wall dropping in ! But I digress........have a dreamer of a 2023 !

That dub reggae soundtrack was the bomb,it really fitted the action.Uncle Tony's input was excellent too!

91 was the hell swell on Halloween the perfect storm! It was so big only reef rd and south beach were rideable, mabey rc's.

I surfed that swell in '91 at Spanish House, right up the road. Great memories! You are the man, Ben. FOR THE DREAM!

Surprising how quickly your conditioning slips when you have to take off for recovery, but it will return quickly. Some beautiful waves and water! That yard looks fantastic - great job to all!

Nowhere near the Halloween swell in North/Central Florida in 91' It was peeling like that, but about 4x bigger and longer rides. Some of the Hope team in Flagler had there big guns on that day! Took a little effort to paddle out as there was an inside and outside break.

I finally got my truck fixed ready to go surfing this weekend love the positivity Ben Gravy spreads the stoke. The seaweed problem is real here in South Florida I tried a barrel roll yesterday with my tail mount on my fiberglass surfboard

Triggered some memories for me. Was my stomping grounds back in the 70's till '99. Sold real estate back then and I sure wish I had bought that old 20's two story bungalow just off A1A a block north of 5th av. for 40 grand. Sure that scene has changed dramatically since those golden days. Bye tha by, love the music scoring in this one. And not sure why you're in Jersey and not residing permanently in Sunny Florida?.I'm presently north of Tampa in Hudson. Would much prefer beaches in Brevard county. Patiently waiting for that big lotto score to get out of here. If big enough it's back to Waikiki. Getting old myself and not surfing nearly as well as I used to, I totally understand your dad's frustration about it. I would imagine that's compounded by the fact that he's put on camera. I don't know your whole family dynamic but I imagine that he'd probably feel better about surfing if he didn't feel the scrutiny. I know I would. My 2 cents : )
