Stray Kids... such talent and with so much love for music!! I probably have 35 - 40 of their B-sides on my ULTIMATE playlist alone. They have SO MANY heart-wrenchingly beautiful songs with lyrics that they truly poured themselves into. As well as some of the most uplifting and motivational songs that I have ever heard and that have single handedly pulled me out of my darkest days. My favorite Stray Kids signature when it comes to production, is the enate capability they have if taking the deepest, most introspective and understanding messages, ones that would almost always be kept for a song that would cause you to bawl your eyes out.... And have the composition, production and arrangement of it feel uplifting and inspirational instead of sad. While others, the ones in which they want you to remain deep in thought, really feel the weight of their words... Those they take and make into a jaw dropping ballad with the rappers performing like lead vocalists. I mean, wtf!?! Lmao... Seriously though, they may be a rap heavy group, but they actually have a rather even distribution within their discography. I mean, each genre has a range of requirements, and once you've covered as many of them as SKZ have (something like 40-45 of them now over 175+ tracks) I guess you just evolve as your insight into music creation does. I think that's not only a great ability to have, that extreme diversity. It's also a way to keep their discography feeling continuously new and each album surprising as all heck. I really don't know how they manage to have SO MUCH great music in such a massive discography, but they truly do. (Seriously, I only have 2 songs I don't listen to. And that is only because I have a condition that causes me to be able to hear things like dog whistles, and theres a few frequencies in those 2 songs that I can't handle. Which is AMAZING considering that MOST songs IN THE WORLD do this to me. Because it's a commonly used sequence of notes in choruses as well as in most higher range pieces.) I am honestly floored by these 8 young men and their ability to compete with the creative output and the collective minds from entire companies... on their own. I say this because these companies AND their groups have proven every day why they are here. I mean, look at these songs!...This goes for anyone in the comments saying that "So and so B-sides are the best. Facts." No. I'm sorry, that's not a fact. That is your opinion and I welcome you to have it. We all should. But don't discredit the lifework of artists just because they are not your style. Music is subjective. And don't discredit them just because "your artist" did this, does that, or won these. Some groups, like SKZ, got where they are because their entire concept is, well, Stray Kids. Lol, so when it comes to their music they are self reliant. While other groups got where they are without ANY selfmade music, in a new generation industry of fans that expect that much more from them in every other way because they "lack this quality"... Yet here they are, dealing with completely unwarranted hate for being "robots" despite having unbelievable talent and amazing personalities, that is if the haters would even bother to look. Not to mention they are SUCCEEDING, they are making people fall in love with music that they were literally handed and expected to not only make that song feel authentic to the world, but to themselves too. Do you have any idea how hard that is? You try taking a song, one that perhaps you yourself aren't even a fan of yourself, maybe even in a genre you HATE. Yet you have to sing it like this is your favorite song and genre in the world. They don't always get to be in love with their music, yet they make sure that they put everything they have into them just so you do. Luckily it seems that usually the groups do love their music, yet let's be honest, maybe they are just that good at making us think so. Because at the end of the day, they really only care that their fans love it. And they do!! That's what matters. EVERY SINGLE GROUP who has success has earned it. I don't care whether they are involved in the creation of their music a little or not at all. Yes I think we should praise self-made artists, but we should praise artists that made themselves unique, and special, and successful despite not having this luxury that others do. Remember... Some of these artists have been begging their company to let them write. So I'm just trying to keep this in mind. To others, the ones trying to bring down big company groups who have a heavy output. Don't blame them for the fact that your group's company needs to provide for them better. Because they do deserve better. But that's not the fault of any other group. More importantly... 1. Quality has nothing to do with Quantity, and whether you like a song or not does not have anything to do with it either. Quality has to do with the level of care and effort that can be seen in the lyrics and the production. What some of you call "noise music" quite literally has some of the BEST quality production done in it. Every one of those instruments and every synth, every placement of every voice, every extra little embellishment takes a great degree of commitment, patience, and love for music in order to create. That IS quality. Quality does not equal simplicity. Just because it's easy to listen to definitely doesn't mean it has depth of production or lyrics. 2. A big company does not equal a group who has had anything handed to them. If anything, a big company means that every idol who debuts from there has learned how to struggle for what they want. They not only had to survive perhaps an 8 thousand person audition where they were the only one picked, but they then had to survive anywhere from a couple years to, in some cases, a decade of training. Training that in at least one company includes manners/personality/attitude in order to even have a chance at debut. Which requires you basically be a saint of a person by the time you become an idol. To put it simply, if you want to be an idol. Your choices are to struggle from the day you become a trainee to the day to retire from being an idol. Or you what is basically a guarantee of debut as long as you were accepted, but now your struggle for fame is much more difficult. That said I don't think that these idols have had it easy just to debut either. Easier, yes. Easy, no. They knew they have to be some of the best *insert talent here* to make a name for themselves out there. Basically, all groups and all idols within them, have had their own personal struggles, sacrifices, mistakes, and hopefully, to make all of that worth it even a little, shining successes. Successes that are NOT yours to devalue or discredit all together. Yes talk your ults up!? But don't drag others down to do it. Yes, be proud of what they do that others don't. Be a spokesperson for what you would like to see more of. But don't do it in a passive aggressive underhand way that you know undermines others. Your ults deserve better from their fans, specially when the group that you are talking about is likely very good friends of your ults. Much love!

Its really clear to me that Winterosy has a very distinct taste in B-sides. The songs weren't bad by any means, but by the end of the video, I could tell that they have a very clear genre they prefer. That being said, I would pick completely different b-sides for very different reasons. Also, I think part of what makes a great b-side is what the b-side contributes to the groups storytelling or how it proves their skill and diversity. Sometimes my favorite b-sides are songs that expeiment or veture outside of an artists confort zone. But then again, I also love songs that are an artists essence boiled down to it's most pure form and served up as a b-side.

my fav bsides are prolly bye bye(rv), zoom(rv coz the whole birthday album crazy yo), runaway(exo), forever(exo), el dorado(exo. bruh their songs are great af too), the truth untold(bts), arcade(nct dream), eternally(txt), don't listen in secret(svt), mad city(nct 127), baby don't like it and all nct hoe anthems, and more but im floatin rn + class:y songs are pretty good

Different strokes for different foe, but for me, TXT has the best taste in b-sides (and discography period), because their albums consist within a concept which is often times a *mood*, so whenever I need to decompress, I always can count on their discography to have something to motivate me to move forward. For instance, I can be feeling sad one day, so I listen to ghosting; when I feel misunderstood, I have anti-romantic or no rules; when I have anger, I have Puma and GBGB, etc. Their songs are often times written by them with a concept in mind for the current era they're in their career, and that's why their discography also has immense value to their fans whilst also being very diverse and refined. 💙 Ps: loved the compilation of the videos... and yes, RV has the most creative covers I've ever seen lol ❤
