I have a Sea tug and used it for the first recently. Works great, but takes a little trial and error to find the sweet spot for the kayak to attach it too. Also takes a little practice to lower your kayak onto without making it tip over, or twist to one side or the other.

I sold my standard Hobie scupper cart and replaced it with the C-Tug and I have been very happy with the C-Tug.

C-tug is super versatile. And doesn’t put stress on the scuppers too

This was super helpful. Thank you. I have a C-tug but a challenge has been that since yaks get progressively more narrow in width, the straps slide loose when pulling the kayak over any terrain that isn't super smooth. Any easy solutions for this other than attaching some kind of rail mount behind the straps to stop the sliding?

if you have the pro angler, put the straps between the hull and H-rails and that should keep it in place. Maybe someone else will chime in on here with some ideas too?

When i put the heavy-duty cart upside down to go fish, there is about 4" of the tubes sticking below my hull. Any idea how I can keep this from happening??

There was an allen wrench provided with the cart. This is to adjust the black plastic stoppers. You can loosen the bolt with the wrench and slide the pieces up a few inches and then retighten

I have a 2017 Hobie PA 12 and the front scupper holes are a different distance apart. Does Hobie make wheels that will fit the front scupper holes?

The scuppers in front of the seat should be the same distance behind the seat. If for some reason that doesn't work, you'll have to use the C-Tug

Yes, they are designed for use in the scupper holes. But, do not store the kayak on the cart. Extended time on the cart will put too much strain on the scuppers over time.

Will the sea tug fit on board a Passport 10.5? Is there a way to make stow it using the scupper holes? TIA.

Hi Tony, it can fit behind the seat but I don’t think it will fit inside even with disassembling it. The scuppers really are only helpful for the Hobie specific carts.

What would happen if I flipped while fishing in the ocean and had the cart in the kayak? Would it float?

@@Gigharborflyshop Unfortunately for where I live I absolutely need sand tires, and since the C-Tug doesn't have that option it doesn't work for me. I´ll have to keep looking... Tight lines!
