The case is under $100. Usually when people do those build, the whole board cost $300-$600. With the case itself being $200+ For example, Hipyo recommend and use several time the Idobao V2 case which by itself (no pcb, caps and all that stuff) cost $200
I just got into mechanical keyboards. I am still in the research process and your videos have been my #1 source. Thanks so much for your thorough and super informative videos. It’s really helping me get a better understanding of what I want for my first build.
I think you should definitely do a KTT Rose switch review, I bought, lubed, and filmed them and they sound amazing, pretty thocky on a budget Also you should check out the new Akko switches which are also made by KTT.
Overlube still is better then no lube at all or even factory lube. AND YEAH, IM THE GUY WITH THE INTENTION TO OVERLUBE HIS GATERON REDS BUT DAMN IT FEELS NICE
Review the KBD 67! It's better than the NK65 imo. Both are really good though. Oh, and also, the NK 65 Aluminum was (back) in stock yesterday. Awesome vid!
I’m trying to find a deep thocc keyboard that isn’t TKL (I prefer 100% bc I like my numpad and arrows) that’s either already prebuilt or I can get commissioned so if anyone has any recommendations I’d appreciate it 😭 I like my current one but I’ve grown tired of the razer pro and the bluetooth disconnects sometimes
just ordered the parts for my first custom keyboard, im so excited! thanks for the inspo and great content! cant wait for this video ik its gonna be good :D
1st day learning about boards. I really like the sound of these Rose keys. I also like these caps a lot. What other board shells would fit these switches and caps?
I bought the Cartridge Gold back in February because it was the only colour left in stock at the time. I thought if I didn't like it, I could simply repaint it, but once I had it in my hands and built my board , it REALLY grew on me! Glad you ended up liking yours too, but I also have to agree with you, this being my first 65% board, I think next time I will look for one with a blocker for the arrow keys.
bruh i bought a LK67 for £47.99 on tiktok, and i picked the gaetron brown switches. Sounds way better then this keyboard you got for over 100 bucks without the switches or keys... the LK67 comes fully lubed and stabs, amazing sounds from space bar and all keys!!! good video tho!
Can you do a review on the BM65RGB? Very similar to the NK65 but costs $60 for the identical kit. It has North facing switches, but makes up with screw in stabs.
What's up with this trend of having Jazz for the background music on keyboard channel videos?? I've noticed this trend on several of them........ And I'm so lovin' it. 👍
The way you speak is like Chef John from Food Wishes DOT com, but instead it’s you and it’s for keyboards. Also this is a compliment. Also I have a hate love thing for you because I’ve spent far too much money on everything keyboards in the past few months ;-;
"Zipper go brrrrr." The homemade alarm effects... "And doesn't even reach anything, it's so short." LMFAO!!! Thumbs up, immediately. Loving this video.
Howdy Hey! Just grabbed one of these nk65 Olivia used. Still sounds great but I agree the stabs need lubing and will try to purchase the ones you mentioned in video. Thanks for the in depth review and breakdown. Would you recommend stupid fish foam on this or tape mod? Thanks Hipyotech!
Do you know if there is any ISO de PCB i can fit into an nk65 case? i got a very nice nk65 milkshake edition but the ansi and missing keys are just fucking annoying me sometimes and it would be the perfect solution to just swap the pcb
Please record all your keycap mounting action an edit it together in a 10 hour arms sleep meditation video. No VoiceOver or effects needed. Just the sound of you putting the keycaps back on. That way all that time would not be wasted but busted serve by helping people to relax. Just a thought ...😊
Hey hipyo I have a PCB for a mod007 from akko and it was delivered with broken hotswap sockets could you repair it for me? Could be a video idea idk...
Hipyo Cinematic Universe (love your videos btw, I’m recent to getting into custom keyboards and am looking at buying the Epomaker GK68XS, let me know your thoughts!)
can u try the mxrskey 96u it is a cheap 96key sold by kbdfans on kbdfans shop or on aliexpress with gateron switches and very cheap keycaps the unassebled keyboaed comes for 65 €
Somehow managed to buy this ... but it was the group buy for the super user edition which arrives sometime in Q4 😭. This is gonna be my first keyboard I’m building myself, really looking forward to it.
im new at this, just starting with changing keys and trying to Lube the stabs of my pre-built boards. my question is would these key-caps work with an Anne Pro 2?
keyboard people are so sad lmao. calling them "boards", spending thousands on a damn keyboard and hundreds on fucking keys and keeping them in special cases smfh
A nit pick but true: Damp, Damped, Damped I believe. Dampen is to wet or moisten,; whereas attenuating or decreasing the aplitude of a response such as sound is to damp. Apparatus that damp are dampers.
