After learning quite a-bit about the new generation KTM 450 SX-F in our 'Bike Breakdown' feature, we were eager to spin some laps on the machine and experience the updates and technology first hand. I absolutely love the feel of my 2022.5. Will be ordering the Litpro kit for 259.00 to retrofit my bike! This is what i love about KTM, always advancing the industry.

I'd wait just a little while, they do not have a way to unlock it for the previous 22.5 thru 24 as of now. It shouldn't be very long though. I have a friend that already got one but ktm said they wasn't supposed to be released to the public yet as software wasn't ready , I'd talk to my dealer about it before you spend the money.

@barnescycle Thank you, saw the swap moto review with the ktm rep I believe it was him that said they could be retrofitted. Good information my friend. Thank you will check with my dealer.

@@CryptoJace Will 99% sure come later they first want to get MY23 and 24. Software wise there isn’t any special condition except probably the app might make some issues.

Both these gentlemen weigh 200 lbs...I think this is why I always won the race to the first corner..when I held my AMA Experts license (been a long time)...I topped out at 138 lbs....btw the one time i raced Jeff Ward I also beat him to the first corner (and podium)..after teh race his Dad walked down to our pit to look at our bike and ask if we had any engine mods. When we said nope other than cutting the silencer off she's 100% stock, his dad commented that Jeff always made the 1st corner in 1st place. I just shrugged and said, yeah me too.

Nice step in the right direction. Can KTM change the crank and piston material so there would be less rotational mass so it will feel like a 350 please

Question how much did you guys like the app especially compared to the old CCU? I heard people said the the yamaha tuner app wasn’t as nice because it’s taking forever..

Weird my 23 ktm sxf 450 Second gear feels like it is super short compared to my 2020 Honda did they change any gearing since 23?

Anyone know how to turn the CUO off? I can’t get it to turn off and I don’t want it to drain h the e battery.

LoL I went with a 6.4 spring in the rear and run the forks at 13 bar, I think I need and like things a bit stiffer. I am going to put a spring kit in mine soon.
