Thank you, Robert, for the visit to your store and meeting you and all the staff, it was worth the train trip. Hopefully I will be back soon for my new glasses.
Oh cool this is perfect. Last December i bought new glasses, then after a few days i have been having headaches. Specially the bone behind my ear. I loosened the edge of the temples but it still hurts. I realize then that the glasses were to small and the temples are pushing in so much in my head. Ended up getting new glasses just last January. So yeah guys with big heads like me having a hard time finding good glasses. 😅😅
The advice given matches my experience helping look for glasses for my mum, she's got a tiny face and a low bridge. We've looked at the Sara and it's a touch too big so we're going to give the Sif and Delling (also Reykjavik Eyes frames) a try before giving up and going with a rimless frame.
The Sif and Delling are larger so I think rimless may be the way to go. We could make them as 'rimless tech' so they still have definition with the installation of a silicone band around the lens rim
Thank you but the frame is for a warranty repair gone wrong. The current lenses were deeply scratched (I'm guessing too much pressure at the plug joint) and we were given the option of either replacement lenses in the current frame or new lenses in a new frame and my mum decided she wants to try a full or semi-rimmed frame. I will be looking for glasses with magnetic sun clips later this year though! Do you stock any alternatives to Eco Eyewear? Not a deal breaker for this case but usually I prefer glasses without spring hinges.@@thespectaclefactory
I have a very small and narrow face coupled with ears that are almost glued to my head. I ended up getting the Moscot Miltzen in the size 44 and they fit great.
Hello Robert. Im interested in a combination and want to know if it's achievable. So i want to get a 45% cinnamon tint, with transistions brown, jade flash, anti scratch, bluegard and drive safe capabilities. Thanks for the videos
@thespectaclefactory Okay no problem, so a 45% cinnamon tint, brown transition, jade flash, bluegard, anti scratch is all okay. Can I have this polarised also?
Dont be affraid to just go to a store and ask someone for help. Opticians who have been on the job for a couple of years will definitely find a frame that will suit you and your personality. Keep in mind that tastes might differ so try to find someone who kinda shared your vibe to get the best results
Lucas De Stael and JF Rey seem to have larger frames. All their frames seem to be 150 temple. Do you think they would fit wearers with 140-145 temples?
Robert, what's you opinion on subtle cat eye frames on men? I have a pair of Cartier acetate frames that are a bit "cat eyeish"/feminine. I think it can be pulled off, thoughts?!
Hi been watching your video’s for quite some time now, in a queeste to find my next pair of glasses. Living in France it is very hard to find opticians that are not connected to a chain. Therefore the brands you are calling out for are simply not available. How do you help clients from France and deal with the invoice for the assurance? Thanks.
Hello, I live in the US and sadly there is no one nearby that sell the undostrial springe 06 frames. Do you know of any way I would be able to get a pair for myself?
for some reason it wont let me send the email to you guys and i keep getting an error message. Is there another email I can get in contact through?@@thespectaclefactory
I have been having such a hard time with my glasses. My prescription is currently -4.75 in both eyes and my glasses are metal. My face is a bit on the smaller side so trying to find glasses is tricky when so many frames are made only to cater to the average face. My current problem is that my glasses are constantly hurting me. No matter what adjustment I have had done, my nosepads leave red painful spots. I have tried other kinds of nosepads and other materials for them as well but nothing has helped. I don’t think my prescription is so heavy that I should have constant pain. Do you have any advice on this? I have looked into getting the frame called woody from Barton Perreira. I tried that on at a local optical store and they fit great. Do you think an acetate frame could help with these places on my nose?
Well. I have a very wide face, which is a nice way of saying that I have a big ole fat face. Really fat. “Wide” frames are normal to narrow for me. Sadly.
I recommend you make a consultation with them I as well have a wide face but have already bought 2 pairs with them Robert has helped me with both pairs and they are absolutely perfect I already bought another pair with Robert's help and can't wait to have them. The pairs i bought: Reykjavik Eyes Rikhard JF Rey 2983 N soon to be pair of LDS frames in the Zeppelin 05
