@@WildRiftGameplayandTutorial Peanut clapping Canyon is a crazy thing to say. Canyon hard gapped Peanut, just look at last game when Canyon had a crazy flank and insane ult every teamfight, meanwhile Peanut missed his ultimate onto canyon and almost baited his team into losing. And this is consistent across games. It's just that jungle has been reduced to such an extreme minion role that you pick Vi Or Skarner and play CC Bot or u play Zyra to farm on cooldown into trading PvE objectives to make your laners stronger. Peyz fucked up every single game and thats why GenG lost.
22 DRX spirit lives on ruining GENG life as per usual DK breaks GENG's winstreak after winning a game with a score 20-0 (Kingen) KT ruins GENG's perfect summer run (Pyosik, Deft, Beryl) and finally Zeka/HLE wins LCK Summer
Congratulations to that guy who noticed that every time the LCK 1st All Pro has just been a single team, that team didn't win the split. They're a prophet.
I happened to be traveling thru Korea this week and without knowing it: - Our travel days were exactly during playoffs week - Our hotel is 10 walk from LoL park (the LCK studio) - They host small watch parties outside the LCK studio and I went during finals - I got to see the ending of game 4 and all of game 5 in one of the best series (probably) in recent LCK history. The stars aligned for this match!
Nobody saw what Peanut did in the last Dragon fight. Peanut was set to ult onto K'sante but he flashed back (R - Flash) combo to stop Canyon from diving into Zeka and Viper (1:29:22). This play made Canyon lost his tempo.
They weren't glazing for no reason tho, geng was really looking like the best team in the world and they proved it at MSI and throughout the summer split@@X490-e1u
@@X490-e1u "stop glazing GENG". They literally won both tournaments so far while being undefeated by ANY OTHER TEAM except KT twice and setting LCK records that will never be broken and coming into the finals being 4-time back to back LCK Champions. Just say you hate GENG for smashing your favorites time and time again.
Both are not true. KSV bought Samsung slot and Hle bought Rox slot. They are not SSG or Rox. They only mention it because Peanut played for Rox before lol. Even Bro has 1 lck title from 2012 bc their slot is from Najin is funny
Don't worry there are still people like me who enjoys watching zeka and praise him as he deserved, even though we laugh and joke about his corki at the start of the year we still love him 🍊🧡
Not gonna lie but I hate Zeka at first after receiving the best midlaner of 2022 when his only best performance was from Worlds 2022 and only knows how to play Yone, Akali and Sylas but he goes to show that he improves a lot and can play control mages as well like Azir and Ori.
For the first time in almost 7 years, a LCK team champion that isn't GEN.G, T1 or DK. It feels weird that 2024's most dominant team and the one that broked so many records throughout the year will be the LCK's 2nd seed at Worlds tho, just proves how this region is built different yk.
The last time HLE appeared in finals was vs ROX like I can't even remember what season is that. Well tbf this is HLE's most stacked team in idk how many years
I just hope GenG and HLE can actually adapt to international play at worlds. Lowkey I want T1 to not make worlds this year, just so that GenG and HLE can scrim with them for worlds.
The agency of HLE players today was out of this world. They played so in sync: amazing teamfights, covering each other's backs, each player had a pop off moment. ABSOLUTE BANGER of a performance!! I legit cried when they won, man 😭I'm so happy
Dude comparing the lck finals to the finals of every other region just makes them look bad 😭maybe lpl has a chance but if they play like this hle and geng are stomping
1st time since 2017 that theres actually 2 favorites (top 3) out of LCK. Even as a T1 fan, that makes me happy w/o them, coz we know they always had that Worlds buff in them. Tbh, I'd be disappointed if those 3 teams dont make it to Worlds semis
@@skrattaoppar9753Peanut and Delight were not really kicked. Arnold said that Peanut came to him and said he wants to try something different and that's when they started looking at Canyon. Then they decided they needed a veteran support (Lehends) to replace Peanut's shotcalling. If Peanut wanted to stay, him and Delight would still be on GEN rn they were basically a package deal.
“Clap” when it went to game 5 😐 Bro, people like you don’t have their own opinion on things. Please develop your own personal bias and personality instead of just being a parrot.
yeah that stings a lot to chovy fans bro. They kept saying the only reason chovy is not a world champ is because his ex teammates is trash lmao now look they beat him
@@reikowan6718 Chovy fans are so delusional bro Chovy played with so many top dogs in his career yet he failed to win any worlds and they have the audacity to call him the goat holysht
Zeka inproves so much. I thought he is the world champion due to meta and luck, but he proves me wrong. He has the talent for the best midlaner in the world.
Just chills… LCK players having won a Worlds title first than an LCK title just shows how good and top tier the pro players rostered in the LCK are - the main team members, the CL teams, even their Academy trainees (that is why the non main team players get offers and snapped up by the other regions). ALL OF THEM. So whatever people say, LOL LCK is just a different level.
@@victortran2962 unlucky? how? i mean the guy is a MSI winner and 7x LCK, yet people always trash him somehow was the scapegoat of GenG, but honestly Peanut is rlly top class jungler.
The disrespect is not gonna stop because if you objectively look at the games peanut just isn't good (disregarding comms of course, we cant see that). It is just that jungle is extremely terrible in pro play and therefore the massive skill gap between peanut and canyon is almost irrelevant. Meanwhile Peyz vs Viper is the obvious difference here
@@finnradoy1742 but wasnt Kiin way to good for the inter and bad Doran too?, and well Chovy over Zeka? i mean disrespect there is always and will be agreed.
I think this loss is going to do more good than harm for Gen G. Every time Gen G goes to Worlds as LCK's 1st seed they seem to crumble under the pressure but this time round it's HLE who will be experiencing that instead. Also, this will get rid of any complacency and give the Gen G players more motivation to make up for this defeat. IMO we're no longer looking at LPL and LCK's 1st seed as the two clear favorites going into Worlds this year, Gen G we cannot disregard and T1 always show up at Worlds when it matters the most (assuming they qualify that is but I think they will). This is going to make Worlds so much more exciting.
With how much agency GenG gives to Peyz, no doubt he'll look good. Every single player on their team backs him up (which is how it should be; always protect the carry) However if they fail ever so slightly to do that, they'll crumble slowly.
Damn Peyz. I've never seen a worse performance from him. His Ezreal decision making in game 1 cost them the game and the same with game 5. But people will spam "Choky" again as if Chovy wasn't the best GenG player this series by far xD
Everyone praising Kanavi and Canyon for a thing they aren't, Peanut the best jungler in the game ! Viper and Zeka as always and Doran just WHAT THE FUCK i thought he only used to play tanks just like 369 i guess when Ruler isn't arround these dudes can perform
The chills I get watching these moments after winning the LCK title are unreal. As a fan of Peanut since his ROX days, this brings me to tears and fills me with so much joy for him. Even though I have a family of my own now, I'll always support him. Forever my Nutgod Peanut.
if I knew this was gonna be a 5 game banger series, I would've stayed up goddamn. But, in the end, you just can't beat BRO talent lol. And good shit for Zeka and Viper. Well deserved for both
So chovy wins 4 LCK finals in a row "not worlds, doesn't matter" chovy loses LCK Final "CHOKY LOLOL" people put a lot more stock into LCK finals when it's not him winning it
Flyquest 🤝🏻 HLE Stopping the dominant runners. This is a new era for LCK tho, HLE winning LCK is now on the Finance Era. Banks and Insurance companies slowly joining LCK and dominating with their extreme finance backed roster is gonna be our future. I wouldn't be surprised if Brion won someday. They're probably waiting for a finance team to win it and take all this seriously.
I think the opposite, that geng will feel more pressure now since this is their first time losing. Imagine being used to always winning and then suddenly a huge loss happened to the team.
1:23:03 caedrel and the commentators said the exact same thing at the exact same time. That was one of the craziest things I’ve ever heard. At the exact same moment, synchronized they both say “and vipers making an argument” at literally word for word the exact same time.
Man its crazy to see how much HLE have improved since spring. They definitely are a favorite to win Worlds if they have this kind of performance. Its always really fun when both teams are being pushed to their limits.
I don't think peanut "mis-targeted" skarner during the last dragon fight. It was to disable him during the fight, bait peyz into thinking kiin and canyon is there to cover for him if he dashes, make skarner ult to counter his ult leaving viper and zeka basically free from threats, and isolate chovy out of the dragon's pit. Hats off to hle
yeah thats what im thinking he is a pro theres no way he mis clicked that lol and the instant target switch to kaisa when yone Q3 land is funny to watch kaisa look so useless
GenG has been too comfortable with their 2 carry 3 tanks/peels formula, I think. When they has to fight someone like HLE who can do better jobs at the same things. GenG has no trick left to overturn situation
It's kinda the reason why they struggle against TES when they can't Marco diff their opponents with fat gold wallets and the game is scrappy Gen G doesn't function good in situations like that
@@mukamuka0 HLE won but I don't think they are better by a mile. Repeat this series 10x and GenG might even win more of those. The thing is GenG and HLE playstyles are so similar, it's like tossing a coin to determine who wins.
@@DavisPeralta-j8w Evidently not as you can see after game 3...HLE doing better and better. Usually you'll see team pivot to diff tactic after it didn't work but GenG didn't and I think it's more like they cannot as they probably didn't prepare other tactics before hand. Chovy has played Corki back to back even after losing games. League consisted of 2 parts, player mechanical skill and strategy macro (which is mostly came from coach). So as you can see, GenG was beaten in Macro and that's not a luck thing
This really doesn't help Chovy's choke status either. Obviously Lehends was the main culprit running it, but when you are the super star, the "best player in the world" and the main carry, as Peyz was usually secondary unless they got him rolling by sending 4 bot, Chovy has GOT to step up and make big plays or clutch out. In all honesty, I don't think I've ever seen him make one of those plays or truly clutch a series when it mattered. Hence his unfortunate Worlds and MSI record, until this year. We've seen players with performances lower than his make these plays, because they know it "has to be them" or "has to be now" (aka Faker in Spring Finals Quadra as well as Game 2 vs HLE yesterday and Zeka honestly this whole summer just ramping up to this point). If Chovy can't be the one who steps up, he will never be the greatest mid laner, simply the greatest laner. Faker has a portfolio of plays that define clutch and are history making. Chovy doesn't have 1. No one would argue Faker is better than Chovy right now, but if it came down to a coinflip where I needed someone of a high skill level to make a play that would turn the tides in our favor: Statistically I'd take Faker every time. Some may say it's because Chovy isn't used to being in that situation cause he's ALWAYS ahead or crushing. We've seen 2 Finals in a row where Chovy hasn't been that guy. They brought Lehends and Canyon in to macro and shot call. Canyon, Chovy and Peyz were the primary carries and Kiin overall has been solid in every top matchup, aka stability. Chovy has only ever been asked to lane and team fight. We saw his lack of positioning in Spring Finals lose Game 2 at the end while being the funneled player; which everyone knows is unacceptable. If you're 9-1 and have all the gold, you HAVE to position, not knowingly fight in a choke into a Xin who doesn't take dmg with R, Azir and support. Was this truly a choke from Chovy? No. But if the team that asks nothing other than "Do Chovy things" can't get anything more from him, then when it matters most and when things crumble (again, this series and Spring Finals) Gen G will crumble. I thought this year, at the beginning, could be the Gen G. Golden Road, seeing as they had Canyon who looked to have recovered from his burnout. (He and Showmaker both looked exhausted and worn) But he is still showing signs of it, which means Chovy should be stepping up more. Same to Kiin and the others, but if you've been around this long, been regarded (WIDELY) as the best player in the world for years, you need a clutch factor. Chovy isn't that guy. Right now. If he get's that "It has to be me" mindset and looks for angles (see T1 coms vs JDG) then he would be exponentially more complete in my eyes. But like I said earlier: He is asked to lane and teamfight. That's it. They got away with that murder in Spring Finals, were barely pressed and got away with that murder in MSI, and got punished for it in Summer Finals. Chovy has to change. This is what Faker ran into in 2017: He was carrying his team to Worlds Finals, literally one of the most 1 vs 9 a mid laner has ever truly been, but SSG had teamwork and a high individual level that Faker couldn't overcome alone. He had to relearn how to be a leader and mid laner for his teams from there. Chovy might be in that spot if his team can't carry that weight for him.
Bot is gapped doran is performing better than kiin trust me it ain’t a leadership problem it’s a gen g problem chovy needs to learn that corki is not as prioritize like in spring viper and lehends need to relearn how to play lol kiin was just outperformed and nothing rly to say to canyon
I'm so mad, I had like so many words on twitter blocked to prevent spoilers, but when I woke up for work this morning LoL Esports posted a photo of Zeka with the words "Champion" or something. But even though I spoiled myself by accident, the series still delivered beyond my expectations. Really special play from HLE today.
The weird part is if GenG had won the first one as expected, this might have turned into a 3-0 affair and we would have been robbed of such an epic final.
Insane series. Congrats HLE (Nut God my goat)and I personally think this lost actually helps GenG in some ways because now there is no golden road pressure anymore.
they are still pressured knowing that they literally hired the top 1 and top 1-2 top/jgl and also Chovy getting the flowers as the "best mid in the world".
@@minime1414i'm so sorry for your damaged brain. Guy hold on once lifetime story to make it normal. Forgetting Zeka and Viper cannot care less about facing either LPL or LCK.
What an amazing finals, I was out of the house for the so I had to watch on mute the 1st few games but even though I had work early in the morning was definitely worth staying up til 4am for this, well deserved for HLE! This result honestly makes worlds more exciting now that the team everyone thought was unstoppable has been defeated already.
Honestly horrendous serie from Peyz compared to the previous one. That R KaiSa on Zeka he is going to remember that his whole life because if Peyz plays around Chovy that teamfight they win for sure
Imagine Poby subbed in for T1 on game 4 against HLE then he also win them game 5 and advance to finals buy then Faker sub in again against GEN G and GEN G win the LCK which would upset T1 fan even more, so not playing for T1 in the semifinals was a big brain move, it was all Poby's plan afterall
@@TheGummie55 Can we stop with the draft cope? If you carefully analyze all of their previous games, even when T1 managed to draft a counter comp, their execution is just not there. Even if T1 is the one in the finals and you give them either GEN's comp where they won or HLE's comp where they won, T1 is just incapable of playing according to their win conditions and their map movements are just horrible this summer.
