Bob-omb Battlefield really was genius in its design. You get to know the terrain pretty well, then suddenly you can fly over it! And New Donk City is always so much fun. But it seems almost heretical to play the celebration level in anything other then the black suit and fedora.
Bowser's fury is a bonus game within a switchport of a game that came out on the Wii U 8 years before. Including Bowser's fury would not make any sense when they said they're including mainline games.
My favorite is moon kingdom. It’s short, and not really fun per de, but it’s ridiculously beautiful. Seeing Mario in an astronaut suit on the moon with a church in the far distance felt heavenly
Does anyone know in world 6-6 you can just complete the stage easy if you use a mini mushroom powerup just to walk on water in the entire stage extra fact push the run button
Very much agree wity New Donk City, but the first level of some games felt like cop-out choices. I would have gone for several other worlds before Bomb on battlefield, like I enjoy it, like I enjoy all the levels, but I like several others more, like the snow world with the penguin race, the boo mansion, the lava world, the sand pyramid world, big/little world, to mention a couple.
Pinna park? Mario sunshine is my favourite game but I think that the best levels are sirena beach or bianco hills. Actually you know what they are all amazing 🤩 I wish sirena beach was a real place it’s so exotic 😍😍, but I’ll just have to watch Mario doing all the relaxing instead.
I thought the digging in World 2-1 of SMB2/USA was kinda tedious honestly. I liked 3-1 better with all the clouds, waterfall secret, and secret shortcut I found on my first playthrough.
The one flaw with the fuzzies in Yoshi's Island is the fact that once you get hit by one literally all you have to do is just duck and you won't move and that will allow you to weigh it out until you're back to normal. It completely destroys the purpose of it. If they programmed it so you couldn't duck when you're in that trance then it would actually be much more of a challenge

@matt allen sure, but the title says “best levels”, not “most iconic levels”. Also, how can people who know nothing about Mario recognize a level, if they never saw it? They’ll recognize Mario itself, maybe the decor, enemies. Anyway, I never said it wasn’t a good iconic level, just far from the best in my opinion :)
Grandmaster Galaxy is just a kaizo level with no creativity in it. In Galaxy 2 there are masterpieces like Cosmic Cove, Tall Trunk and Throwback. Why they aren't in the video???
Having to be lucky enough to make it through the boo corridor and jump to the bonus room only for your star power up to end when you hit the floor and land on one of those spiky ball things and have to start the level again from the beginning...
