I bought one of these. I am 57cm and this helmet is snug. I removed the tightening wheel and strap (since it was all the way open and just in the way). It does look good. Here in the U.S. we have CPSP certification, this helmet is not. I believe they market it as a "stunt helmet". The foam thickness is about 3/4 (maybe less) that of a standard helmet thereby making it look so nice. I highly recommend if you are 54-56 cm. But keep in mind that thicker foam of CPSP certified helmet serves a purpose! But for those like me that won't wear those ugly helmets, this fits the bill nicely.
I own this helmet myself and bought it because of the low weight. It is very light and the comfort is ok. Unfortunately, at a price of roughly 50 bugs the buildquality is ridiculously bad. The velcro-pieces holding the pads adswell as the adjustable headband are poorly hotglued to the inside of the helmet. When i unboxed the helmet, the inside was a mess of hotglue-strings. The headband is made from super cheap plastic and even has some sharp edges. The outer "shell" is so thin, it is barely more, than a base for the poor paintjob, which is extremely soft, thin and has all kinds of dirt-inclusions. When i tried to get some of them out, i instantly went through the paint, leaving an ugly mark. The paintjob must've been done with the helmet already assembled and without properly using masking-tape, as the inner foam and outer edges are covered in white spots and lines. If they would put just a little more effort in assembling this helmet, i'd highly recommend it. At this price-performance ratio i would not recommend buying it though. :(
Did they discontinue production. I can't find them being sold anywhere. Would love if you could give some insight if they still sell them or even where I can buy a pair.
I know it's a 3-year-old video, but is this helmet available anywhere these days? This exact matte black color one. Most shops I search in have a glossy looking helmet with a cap...
Hi mate, how much protection do these helmets have? I don't skate but I snowboard but every helmet I Try on seems to look huge on my pea sized head so thought I'd check out skateboard helmets to see if they were a bit more low profile. Snowboard helmets are crazy money in comparison so it makes me think skateboard helmets are a bit crap but don't know why they would be.
What's the biggest they come? I wear a size 8 fitted hat. Only helmet I've found that barely fits is bern xxl. But it feels tight on sides and loose front and rear.
Are they selling replacement inserts/liners? The foam in my triple eight helmet disintegrated within weeks and I've been making my own from foam off ebay for the past 4 years.
Mate I brought the one with the peak and didn’t realise it came with out the padding any chance of getting the padding or point me in the rite direction plz ?????
