The Criterion 4k of Shaft might be the best looking '70s UHD I've ever seen. It is immaculate and looks incredible.

The VHS cover of Zombie used to scare the crap out of me when I was a little kid LOL! This was '82 or '83... ? The video rental shop next to my dad's barber shop used to keep it right on the Horror endcap LOL!

Jaws, Jaws II, Invasion of the Body Snatchers, Star Wars: A New Hope, The Godfather, Halloween, Dawn of the Dead, Suspiria, Smokey and The Bandit, The Taking of Pelham 123 and Apocalypse Now are some of my favorites of this decade on the 4K format, so far.

Clint Eastwood's High Plains Drifter looks amazing. I'd put it on par with the Jaws restoration.

Lots of great titles in there. I have about half of them. I'd buy Suspiria if it wasn't so expensive. I like it, but not $40 worth. I really do hope they do a separate Taxi Driver release. I want that one bad, but not enough to have bought the full set. I wasn't even buying 4k yet in 2021.

I’d say Phantasm and John Carpenter’s Halloween are two of my favorite 1970s movies. Sadly, Phantasm isn’t on 4K yet but I have a feeling that may change since this year is the 25th anniversary. John Carpenter’s Halloween looks awesome on 4K though and I definitely recommend it as well. Good recommendations man and keep the great stuff coming please Ken!

Deep Red is your favorite Argento movie? Have you seen Tenebre? Terror At The Opera used to be my favorite until I saw Tenebre. Hunt it down. I saw Suspiria in theaters with my dad and noticed that there was something different but couldn't tell what. Zombie is good old fashioned ghoul scares. I think it's the movie I have got more versions of. Neat selection of 70s horror good showing and cool video Ken!👉🙂👈

I agree with most of this list. One release from late last year that I would add is the Criterion 4K of Days of Heaven.

I have that 4k box 📦 Set up Apocalypse Now so which version is the best version to watch? I do wanna get that 4k classic of Taxi Driver but I'm not getting that Columbia box set but I believe there's a 4k Steelbook coming so I'll wait till that's available to buy 👊👊📽

You hit on most of the ones for me. If you were to twist my arm I would say replace Deep Red and Zombie with The Sting and Smokey and the Bandit. Shortly after Suspiria 4K was released I was able to pick up used for $10. Complete blind buy, but since that first watch I was hooked. Just a master job in both visual and audio. For me it is just a feast for the eyes and ears in my 7.3.4 audio setup I could care less about the story. I put it on frequently just for the visual audio pleasure. Synapse pored all their love and skill into that resoration and you can tell.

I think that the first godfather looked better than the second. I bought the box for 30. The Slips covers coast 12 per piece where I live.

You forgot one Ken ... you still haven't watched the 50s or late 70s classics that a few of your followers passionately suggested. You have to watch Both Invaision of the body snatchers movie's and the Kino Lorber 4k that you own is stunning and the Arrow LE box set I received in February is even slightly better side by side. If you watch it You would've put it in your list for sure (110%) it's just a beautiful transfer. I agree wth you that Susperia is the best 4k transfer ever, which when I put it on I get mesmerized just by the set up screen scenes... C'mom ken yiu gotta see Invaision and let me know what you think... Ill bet yiu that youfld love both 50s and 70s versions.... pay attention to McCarthy from the first, because he makes a cameo and Robert Duvall does too...... youll li e them trust me.....Thanks for all your information and reviews, because you and CHH are my One, two punch in physical media info.....God bless you and your family brother.......

That's a shame about the Apocalypse Now 4K. I bought it on Amazon last year for $17.18. Today, Amazon has only one used copy available for over $100.

In 2022, I bought Paramount's release of Godfather Trilogy - 50 Years, which includes all that you mentioned plus a coffee table book. I like Part III, just not Sophia Coppala. She's a terrific director. Actor, not so much.
