UPDATE‼️ Before leaving a negative comment about the screw color. Know that Marconi Armory has taken over the new magwells and NO MORE SILVER SCREW‼️ I have an updated video reviewing it.
Watched your other video about having issues with it going into battery. Same thing was happening to my G34 clone build. Spoke to someone at Timney since my trigger was not resetting correctly. He said replace the trigger housing and connector with Glock OEM parts and it should fix it. I was skeptical but did it anyways. Absolutely fixed all my issues plus seems to run so much smoother! Just a thought if you’re still having problems.
It fits but it’s loose. There’s no front lip to grab on to cause up/down wobble so that’s why Marconi doesn’t recommend it for the S80. Use at your own risk.
Good run through on how to install. That rear button heat screw is big, seems like it would feel nasty in the hand. I would at least need to paint in black.
That screw poking out looks terrible now. And yup that looks like would dig in hand while firing. This is a big L for me. Looks good on frame until that screw is inserted.
Smael men’s watch. You can find it on Amazon for around twenty bucks. I use it as my work watch. I’ve had three so far and people think it’s a g shock all the time. Keeps my actual g shock from getting messed up while at work.
I like that… Brotha, thanks for this option. I also have that same frame from Brownell’s. Must’ve gotten it between 12-18mos ago. Finally got all my parts. When I attempted to put my Strike Industries magwell on it seemed like it didn’t fit. Damn it!!! So, back to the internet looking for other options. Only thing was it kept bringing back to what I already had. However, many of the pics in this search result had pics of the actual SCT frame with the same magwell. At which point I was confused, because… why didn’t mine fit? It was at that very moment a light went off in my head about that lip you mentioned. My whole concept of how it mounted was all wrong. Didn’t realize it must be coaxed over the outer edges magwell over the frame sides while guiding the front leading edge of the frame into the magwell forward lip. Voila… Holy sh!t… I was about to buy another one. How many would I have ended up with?!?! Your magwell design is different… it just bumps up against the bottom. This design allows the frame to seat into itself. Think I’m going to pick one up like yours for the next build. Not particularly crazy about that hardware color they included with that kit. Stands out a bit too much on your build for me. Would go great on a build that includes other accessories with matching colors. Maybe a color option for customers would’ve been a good idea; let the customer decide. Again, thanks for the video.
This may be a crazy question but have you shot it in that configuration yet ? I love the mag well but I’m concerned about that screw digging into my hand while firing!!
I don't think it will... but there's about a 99% chance that it's a common screw that you can replace with a better one. A lot of them don't even protrude through the hole. They're like "grub screws" or "set screws". Just gotta make sure you have the right thickness, length and threads. (You can usually cut or grind them to length if you need to).
Imagine being Glock and being so good that 100s of companies make/sell parts for your guns... but being so bad that 100s of companies make/sell parts for your guns. (....and usually better).
I for the life of me cannot get this magwell to fit the SCT. The front will not stay in place, it seems that the lip on the bottom of the SCT is to thick for the magwell. I have tried every angle I can and the front will not stick.
That is the Strike Industries EMP. They have them for both the G19 and G17. Make sure to order the correct one because they have a slight difference in profile.
Loving the set up I need to get a mag well for mine and Arcan makes some great stuff. Wish I could find a black screw that goes in the back of the frame though hat holds the plug
Any updates on how it’s holding up? I removed this magwell from my strike 80 because I would notice a lot of play and didn’t want it cracking the polymer where the hole for the screw is. It fits tight and secure on my p80 though
Anyone else think that Brownells should bullnose all their slides like they do their 34 slides or is that just me? This build looks good as hell but I think it would be much better if Brownells would offer bullnosed slides other then just their 34
Yeah I really like it also. I was considering cutting down the front of the frames handle, so the mag well would fit flush against the frame. Could not bring myself to dremel it however. Now I kinda like how that little step affords some leverage for my pinky finger. That pinky squeeze helps me to find the red dot quicker. Try it , it actually helps. Pick your weapon up and point aim , then squeeze your pinky, there’s the dot. Peace bro , first time quality
