Maip is a glass canon. It can't tank like allo, but hits like a rex. It's also decently fast and bleed resistant. It's deadly in packs. Also, are you recovering from your surgery? I hope you recovery soon
@@nvGunn Yw. And, yes, maip grills up things it's size. You should try like an iggy. It would be a fair and fun fight. They also buffed lament and it now increases damage by 11%.
@@nvGunn Ok. I have 2v2 iggies. I told my teammate to go for the sub, but he instead got kicked in the face by the bigger one. They would've bled but i 4 called since you lose your dino in the server i was playing in.
I really felt that when the deino at 6:57 said "Ą̸̱̝̘̈̃̅́͌̍̏̍Ŗ̷̲̺̑̃̀̌̇̈ͅE̸̩̬̽͋͊͛͌̇͂Ǵ̴̲͖͛̂̈́̽͝͠ͅͅH̴͖̥͙͓͔̳͂̋͐̀̐͗͘͜Ę̴͉͍̲̋̃̍Æ̵̧͓̰̮̱͋̋͑͐̇̇́͝æ̴͇̥̿̋̿͜" So deep 😥
Played Maip for 5 hours today, it was great! I was with a pack and we were unstoppable! Also great video, will definitely be checking this series out in the future!
Stan regen being non existant is literally non existant because traction has been bugged for the last 1 or 2 months and it completely denies any stam regen when not resting
I love this build, I use this except I use long distance runner because I play moee hit and run ish than only riding so I need more stam, also I feel like the vampiric bite simply doesn't fit my play style well but other than that I love this build 😊
You need them to be pretty still for that as it's a long animation and an incredibly long cooldown, besides it only heals 30 hp per bite, I've had more luck with the regular bite and I've taken down rexes with the help of my pack
The Allo needed to be glued to you, he let his face mis-direct a lot. The Deino needed to use any amount of precise movement and the entire bleed mechanic from Maip gets shot out the window.
The croc kill was super impressive! Very nice indeed 👌 Fun to watch how you move. I really enjoy the fake outs you do all the time to get people to use those longer cool down abilities.
The only other mid tier it heavily struggles against is JFD's torvo. To be more exact, one that is running its venom bite. Only one or two of those bites can and will drain a Maip's stam completely. Then its only a matter of tanking the maip until it drops
@@nvGunn Torvo's are a nightmare to deal with. They're extremely customizable (from massively increasing attack to defense, stam and speed). I've found my luck by running a full attack/defensive build with high stam and running the venom bite. I mainly play on realism servers, so being able to dish out high damage and drain prey of their stam is an ideal combo. Also, their metabolism have extra effects. One increases speed while the other increases your armor (20% each I believe)
Great combat, from my experience with dealing with these guys is kind of obvious, just play very defensive, try not to chase them or run too much. I play Rex a lot and I had 2 different encounters with Maips, I won each one but 1 got me to 45% hp while the other got me about 80% hp. The Maip that got me 45% hp tail ride me pretty good in the start but I was able to get solid bites on him each time he ran away to get stamina and come back. It’s such a good bleeder, as long you don’t run too much or your able to dodge their claws, you will be good
The issue with all these builds with the balanced tail imo is that that they don't fare as well against herbies. The carnies in this game are all bad at attacking things behind them, which makes turn radius important in a fight between carnies. However, for many herbies, they have strong attacks both in the front and in the back, and for those you need the tail attack on so you can maneuver and slowly whittle their health
Respectfully I completely disagree, in my experience a group of Maips is one of the strongest groups in the game against herbis, also as a maip, if you let a herbi get that close behind you, you’ve already messed up. I find the turn radius to be very helpful in baiting out the herbivores attacks. I will also mention, this build may be outdated so you may still be right, this is just my opinion 🧡
@@nvGunn What I meant was that against many herbies you can't really tail ride them the way you do with carnies since they have powerful attacks in the back,(for instance tail slam) which makes turn radius not that useful, and you'd rather have the tail attack instead. Regardless, your video has been very high quality and fun to watch!
Maip may deal good against other Dinos but Andrew against Maip is another thing. I used speed Maip against Andrew because most of my pack get butchered omg.
The lamenting is better now it buffs by 11% dmg and makes you nearly always win in maip v maip aswell it helps against other mid tiers but i do say frenzy is better for hunting bigger Dino’s Edit: lamenting can get to the point with 44% buff with 4 maips and that makes it that you can do around 690 damage (with 4 hits of the charge claw) which is insane for an mid tier meaning it can kill most stuff with only a couple charge claws with that 44%
I love Maips so much, but its shit stam is literally frustrating me so much. I don't know all toooo much about dinos, but from smth called a "mega raptor" i wouldn't expect the stam recovery rate of a rex in the isle almost which is so slow i can barely see it going up. So much can catch up to it in the long run it's insane..
The only 2 bad things are the balanced tail and the traction why would you lose 30% Stan recovery for just turn radius? And the balanced tail you have low hp so if a big Dino attacks you a tail attack will do better
Maip and Andrew are just goated on god. Maip is just creepy asf the sounds it makes and the way it twitches Uncontrollably on Idle Andrew is just a pig but i heard its OP i have not played it on a public Serv yet i wanna help you make a PvP video maybe one day very unlikely tho (Ok I Pull Up)
Now is time to find a caunter play, as far as i know the only way to caunter mapi is to out stam them, end forcing them into a face tanck, ps: as far as i know it dosnt work well if u are styraco ore alberta unles u have the stomp (as an alberta)
Defense build with swift tail tamp call and 15% Stam perk is definitely better for 1v1 do to the fact that most things have bleed resistance. Not to mention how your build does lose pretty bad to pycno.
Bleed resistance doesn’t matter? How is your build changing the fact that Maip uses bleed? My build would easily be better for Damage as it can tail ride, im not sure what your on about really
@@nvGunn “bleed resistant doesn’t matter? How’s your build changing the fact of the maip using bleed” Is bleed resistant does matter ALOT. Lol my build gives you more defense an damage out put with still good turn radius so you can tank more an dish out more base damage rather then focusing bleed. Much more suited for 1v1s.
bruh, vamperic bite sucks. It heals you not that much. Plus, risking taking damage makes you take more than you heal. You deal pretty much 0 damage and get like 5% health. Bite is more useful because it has range and deals alot of damage.
To be honest , the first allo was so fcking bad xD, i dont know why every one is RUNNING meanwhile they got so much bleed, all of those are very poor pvp players , i faced 3 adult maips with a sub giga and i killed 1 , its easy if you have Game Knowledge
