The beautiful art they only used for the European boxart is actually on a shirt I got 10 years ago. I always felt the most badass when I wore that to school and even more so knowing it was boxart from another region!

Fast forward to now where battle league came out and it sucks. Gaming was so much better back in the day man. Just the charm and actual fun factor of games was different back then

Thing is... I don’t think Nintendo will let Mario be as edgy as he was in Strikers. Though I wish I’m completely wrong and they release the best Mario Stikers sequel in existence. They could also do a Mario Hoops in the Strikers style... Or both! Mario Sports Stikers style (Soccer, Basketball, Volleyball, Boxing...) OMG!!!

This just makes me remember loving this game as a child and never being able to beat Petey. Good times.

The losing animations have extra impact when they're all beat up with scorch marks and icicles.

So let me get this right. Every strikers character is playable to some degree in SSB Ultimate… except for waluigi. That’s just a crying shame

Here to comment that the sequel is coming to the switch

One VERY big thing not mentioned in this video is a feature that me and a friend realised about the game. Leading players on the team (Mario, Peach, Luigi etc) will occasionally ask for the ball. As a bit of character building, my friend who always plays as Wario noticed that he asks for the ball about 5 times as often, which is SO in character for him it's incredible. Wario CONSTANTLY shouts "GIMMIE THE BALL!" "I'M OPEN!" "PASS TO ME!" and it's so funny. He even does it in situations that aren't good for the team, man just wants to be the star player who hogs the spotlight.

With the failure of Battle League, Nintendo should’ve just ported or remake this with new additional content and called it Mario Strikers Re-Charged

Mario Golf: Toadstool Tour has essentially become the running villain of the RelaxAlax Canadian Universe.

This game just OOZES with so much edge and charm at the same time, it's a miracle this game got even made! Let's hope that easter egg in Luigi's Mansion 3 shows they have plans for a third game...
