@@Mercedessource do you sell any of the vehicles when done, or are they all customers cars? I have been looking for a 350SDL and can not find any anywhere.
A very Merry Christmas to you and your family Kent!!!!! I hope Santa will be very generous to all of you. Thank you so very much for all your hard work and efforts to keep the Mercedes restoration and maintenance hobby alive and well!!!
Picking up a 1983 300D on Tuesday. I have much enjoyed your videos. Once I get a decent reading on what parts I need I'll be ordering parts and instructions from you.
That is a great year. I have both a 1983 300D and a 1983 300SD. Make sure you start with a valve adjustment and timing chain inspection - followed by a compression test to check the internal health of your engine.
Picked it up and drove it home (in the dark). Exterior lights sufficient interior lights not working. The engine really seems strong. Illumination, vacuum line chase look to be high on list. I'd be in panic mode if not for your RU-vid videos. Glad you gave up flying and got thousands of folks including myself into these beautiful Mercedes Marvel's. Thanks.
I'd like to Diesel Purge my 1995 e300 6-cyl diesel, but the lines (thin, transparent lines) around the fuel filter/injection pump don't look nearly as user-friendly as OM617 hoses.
Search the fuel line that goes to the firewal, you will see the hard line from the tank and the soft to the filter, disconect there.... both, fuel in and the return.... to the can...
Does it not make sense to replace the diesel filter firstly? The "diesel medicine" could dissolve solid things entrapped in the filter and purge it forward to unwanted places in the pump, lines, and injectors.
You could but then you should change it again after doing the purge. You have to understand how the hose and filter routing work when doing a purge. "Junk" gets routed back to the purge tank and then goes through two filters before it goes back into the injection pump and any contaminants won't get by the main filter.
Hey Kent-Longtime viewer and MB Diesel owner here (123, 124, 210 and now 211-the one with the straight 6 not V6). I've had the car for 50K trouble free miles. Still runs great-bought it with all service records. I now have 150K on the car. Would you consider this purge safe for the newer seals and O Rings? Thanks again. Been watching you for 10 years
Hi, I have got a low mileage 2013 Vito, 122CDI engine recently when I change the oil (mobil1 ESP 5w30)? I added Ceretec liqui Moly my question is does this kind of oil additive could do damaged engine intervals or cause oil leak. It has a lot of good reviews on Google about anti-friction and make the engine last longer. any recommendation Highly appreciated thank you
This has nothing to do with the subject video. Please keep questions and comments related to the video. Thanks. Diesel purge will not work on your engine.
