Been running flamethrower, incendiary shotgun, incendiary grenades and grenade pistol. Strategen wise : eagle napalm+orbital rattling barrage since first terminid mission. love it ! Also a hidden perk: if you miss 9 out of 10 bullets of incendiary shotgun …that 1 hit will still register for all of them. Always high kill count and high accuracy with this build. ❤
I would recommend the plasma punisher if you're using the rail cannon strike, as if the rail cannon strike doesnt kill the bile titan, the plasma punisher can finish it off
I run a similar build but with the Jar 5 Dominator. It’s great for the medium enemies like the Bloaty bugs as it Stuns them and makes up for the flamethrower weaknesses while I’ve found the fire shotgun has much more overlap with the flamethrower as they both work great for trash. And Stun grenades are must for fighting chargers (an so i take the grenade pistol for bug holes).
Great video, solid load out. I would personally take the cluster bomb instead of the napalm. For the purpose of handling bug breaches it has a larger radius and more charges (5) just seems more consistent. Would also personally take the precision strike instead of rail cannon but that is a good option to 👍
He does note the Precision Strike is more guaranteed (since it always one-shots Titans) and has a much lower downtime than the Railcannon, but does also accurately note that the Orbital Scatter condition really wrecks the Precision Strike while the Railcannon is always consistent. This generally lines up with my own pre-existing thoughts and preferences... if Orbital Scatter is involved, I take the Railcannon, if it's not, I take Precision Strike. If Extra Call-In Time is involved but not Orbital Scatter, it depends... if my team as a whole seems capable of pulling their weight in controlling Bile Titans I'll take Railcannon, if it looks like I might need to pick up some extra slack in killing Bile Titans I take Precision Strike so there's less downtime before I can kill another Titan.
@@kflaco8961 500kg is definitely a great alternative. 500kg is one of my major go-tos against Bots since it can take out Detector Towers, Hulks (w/ Stun Grenade) and Tanks really easily and take big chunks out of Factory Striders. I don't personally take it against Bugs because the damage radius of the 500KG seems kinda weird and inconsistent to the Bile Titans model (I suspect because it's so tall), and against Bugs I highly value the Eagle Napalm Strike and prefer not to take more than one Eagle stratagem if possible.
I have a similar build but use the Guard Dog rover rather than the shield backpack. It helps A LOT with cleaning up chaff and eliminating Hunters that seem to jump from a football field away
The bug front is perfectly balanced it feels like in terms of enemies. I still think some weapons could use some buffs. Once they get rid of the bugs and fps drops the terminid front will be flawless. Had like 6 500kgs not go off today on the new planet. I’m loving the shield pack flamethrower loadout with 500kg and eagle airstrike or cluster though. The automatons are currently unplayable imo
My loadout is the following Medium armor with engineer passive to get 2 additional grenades Use stun grenades! You can stun chargers and kill with flamethrower or groups of enemies, no need to use shield pack Incendiary breaker, any secondary of your choosing Flamethrower obviously Guard dog rover, this is a BEAST, it’s super helpful at killing shreikers that trying to attack you, range is good, helps ad clearing and killing those pesky hunters Choose any two stratagems of your choice, could use Eagle air strike for clearing bug nests, orbital Gatling for bug breaches, napalm, 500kg or orbital precision strike. Highly recommend combining the rover and flamethrower
Yes! Been using it since the start of the game. And now I switch that up with the Gatling barrage it's actually a quicker cooldown. Both are exceptionally good.
Shield is obsolete, a waste of slot, its easy enough to dodge hords of chargers even with grenade armor. My build Lazer rover Fire mines AC turret Fire eagle/cluster/ or more mines/ gatling turret. 6 fire grenades Fire shotgun Highest kill count to date is 973, most games i average 500-700 kills. Most players will bring some kind of support weapon or i find others on map to help. Damage is king, shield is unnecessary, extra stims means less grenades, slow cool down orbitals are less effective as quicker strats like turret eagles gas. Mines stay on map whole game and cannot be over run like turrets. "Fire never dies alone"
If you really don’t like the Bloaty Bugs, the Scorcher is the best counter with low recoil and explosive properties causing its sac to explode in a few shots - plus the bonus damage from the exploding acid sac can kill Bugs around it as well, just make sure it doesn’t explode on a teammate.
I've been experimenting with this build, and it seems the eagle rocket pods can fill the same role as the orbital rail cannon for "softening up the big ones"
We need a fuel tank backpack for the flamethrower. It could give 120 second of continuous fire and a 25% boost to range, burn time, and burn damage. Every time you pick up a supply crate from a resupply drop, you gain back 30 seconds of fuel and it take up your backpack slot.
If you want maximum fire and theme. Then you need the flamethrower, incendiary mines, napalm strike, breaker incendiary, incendiary grenade/impact, plus the all orange armor with extra grenades. Your choice of last stratagem and secondary.
I run a similar pyro build. Engineering kit for extra grenades is a good armor perk, but I always find myself using the Scout light armor for the sneak attack on chargers, and for cleaning up the map and collecting loot after primary objectives are complete.
Great video and I really like the new heavy armor melee increase damage very nice to melee some bugs with the flamethrower or just pistol whipping some bugs!
I was running Adjudicator with the flamethrower last night, and the recoil improvement in the last hit fix made it feel really nice. The best part of it was being able to rapidly pop bloat bug heads, which saved me a lot of grenade pistol ammo.
