I build a DIY AKG C12 with an original AKG C12 capsule from the '60s. Abbey Road Studios says this is one of the best mic capsules ever made, even better than the vintage Neumann (U47, U67, or U87). in this video, I will show you how I built this mic using a kit from Mic & Mod from France. And most importantly, you will hear how great this microphone sounds compared to a Shure SM58. For me, this is one of the best microphones, especially one of the best mics for vocals.
