Bruh srsly this channel is more authentic than any channel of any category. The way you just give stuff away really shows how success and happiness doesn't need to be materialistic. Music is made to enjoy, and thats how you potray it. Keep it up bud.

No one ever reads instructions. I had a shop teacher who gave us a sheet of paper that told us to read everything before beginning. Halfway down it tells you to fold the paper after reading and fill nothing out, but almost everyone in class filled it out until they got to that one. Little anecdote, we're all basically just high school students but older anyway😂 Kai and you together is so wholesome. Fathers and sons. I love it. Cheers bro. I'm still looking forward to seeing more about the Jupiter

Wow, Quintet didn't really come across my radar until now. My choice in $200-250 price range was EA1000. I looked at Dan's Audio Reviews to compare its sound demo while looking at squig Graphs and I was amazed by how clear Quintet sounds compared to EA1000 despite having more sub bass and less upper frequencies. I can also hear the slam better on the quintet despite having less midbass. I'm definitely getting Quintet as my next purchase. Thank you for this whole voting award series Chris! This not only helps us reveal hidden gems in the IEM market but also bring awareness to IEMs we've neglected because of our own biases.

Interesting to see what people consider to be midfi. Some of the ones on the list are $700+ which I thought would be kinda stretching it. Nice to see Penon get some love. Fan 2 is a great set with an easy to listen to, anti-harsh tonality.

i completely glazed over the quintet... there were so many products during the time of its release, it was hard to tell the gems from the stones. regretting it now, but, thsts how the industry rolls. thanks for yohr work chris!

You forgot to mention the Kiwi Ears Orchestra Lite after Hyping the Supernova. And as someone else already mentioned: Your left microphone gave up, most sound came from the right channel. (I had to double-check for a moment if I had a cable issue 😱 But otherwise a nice video, and Quintet is a favorite set of mine as well, the other is the Orchestra Lite.

Xenns Top may not technically have come out in 2023, but I got it in 2023 and for me it was an astounding set! Had it had slightly less boomy bass, then it would have been my get out of the hobby set

I think the mid range with anything is always pretty decent as it's the space where products aren't been deliberately made to be as cheap as possible and the focus seems to be on value, with some flagship features occasionally trickling down too. When, you consider the progress we've been seeing with IEMs lately, it's not surprising that there are many phenomenal midfi sets out there. I think for the price, your money can go so far with these compared to any other audio product out right now!

Woow! Kiwi ears Quinet. I will preorder right now just to see if they are that good. I receive my Thieaudio Hype 2 weeks ago and honestly I can't take those out of my ears, they are so good. WUTANG FOREVER.. Kiwi Ears Quintet was my favorite IEM purchase of the ear. It works so well with the majority of my library which is very similar to Bad Guys.

ÎNo one follows directions anymore! The Canon 2, my choice for best of the year, is a release from this year. Bc your so great I went out and grabbed the blon z300 hbb as my second set ever, after some kz’s that didn’t fit well. I’m blown away by the quality. My next purchase is gunna be something in the midfi range. Great video!

I am subbed to those other channels but I started with you. You talk about music, and your library matches mine. I can’t think of any other reviewers who mentioned Grateful Dead in their reviews, but that’s about 95% of my listening these days. Also, when the levee breaks is my favorite zeppelin song, and I like that it’s one of your go to test tracks.

Kai is a beautiful name which seems to find itself attached to special souls ❤️. My children are my dogs, all have been special. BUT Kai, my 3rd dog, was my soulmate, truly an angel in dog form. Unfortunately his life was cut short, I'll never be the same in the good ways he touched me and in the pain I have about his passing circumstances and in his absence. Best of luck with your special little guy!

Nice to see what iem's other people are enjoying atm. I just got my first non budget iem Shuoer S12 almost a month ago around 11/11 and am really enjoying the extra details in the music. With the small portable DAC Shio and a 4.4mm balanced cable it has the extra power to give the bass a snappy punch without needing to blast the volume. I have also been learning how to eq with Squiglinks/Peace and poweramp eq with my android. It has been a fun learning experience and I will be on the lookout for a upgrade next year, cannot wait to see what new stuff is coming up.

Man this is getting to be torture as I said before I swore off buying any new sets in '23. I got to where I was buying far to many sets last year so I made the decision to set it out for a year. Now I'm thinking once I've waited there are like 5 sets I'm going to have to get my hands on. Thanks for as always the straight up opinion on this hobby. The quintet deserves acknowledgement just for purely pulling off a piezo driver effectively in a hybrid. Something that up until now has almost never been done.
