Played a casual game with someone using a similar deck. Figured out their strat, they were trying to delete my deck. We both had 1 card left in our decks. My turn came, thought I lost till I saw my hand. Used Iono to shuffle our hands😁... They drew all their cards and I drew two with five in my deck. Passed turn and won 😂
Im loving the new format. A really fun combo is using Forretress, wo chien, and the new brambleghast with comeback cards like iono and counter catcher. All cards that benefit from losing prizes thanks to forretress. Herod cape is also funny on brambleghast as you can get it up to 450hp😂
Idk if you read the comments but it would be cool if you could try out brambleghast. With krikitune, hero cape, rossanes backup, and town store you can loop the hero cape so you have a 300+ hp one prizer every turn. And at the end of the game you can get up to 490 hp on a one prizer.
I just faced this deck and man I was so glad metang/diagla and turn 2 felt so good! It was a good match but the basculodon fish Pokémon putting all them energy back was just to much for them to mill!
It looks great on paper, but ive been playing ranked and EVERY match is a iron hands and im so boooooreddddd of it. Im playing Feraligatr for context so i just get hard countered
Feels like most the time you'll deck before your opponent does. The pidgeot v isn't a guarantee of not decking out. If you get iono'd at the right time and draw 6 if your hand is low you just lose.
@@Baldurs9891 Played 7-8 what it bricks exactly? Its all about Basic pokemon, with a DTE mills you 4 cards easily, very hard to beat with Zard setup. I have 2 switches, 3 boss, its' just difficult
@@ChauffeurGoProhow does it mill 4 easily 😅 you still have to find one of your 8 trainers, and the 4 double turbos thats why it bricks that's not easy to find. Plus its a 140 so is super easy to ko your arse at the end if you it you'd mill yourself first and it would be an atrocious deck.
@@ChauffeurGoProhaving it as a one of in an ancient deck is fine but 4 of in this mill deck, too many variables to get the strategy off, even then say you mill 6 times which is a lot, thats still only 24 cards most decks get set up on about 20/30 cards max.
I have ran into it once but I agree, mill decks are the second most horrible thing this game has, mill and stall should never be good! That’s just my opinion though!
@@Laike_Imm I wouldn't worry about it. Mill and Stall being good are only minor blips at best in TCGs. Pokemon overall seems to hate any wincon that isn't punching things in the face, and as a bonus prizing hurts mill and stall more than any other because you build the deck knowing you likely have no out to get to a key card you need now if it winds up there. Personally I live to play mill specifically, but in every single card game I play Stall is the thing more viable if you want an actual win, because attack denials give time to put together further plays and can cause concessions on pure rage, but Milling is so inefficent compared to actively playing the game the way it's done standard that it isn't a race you can usually win. heck, keep in mind the number of decks in format that chance milling themselves because they can make use of it just in this games standard format still, and you wind up possibly feeding into their strategies. Can't tell you how many times what won me a match while playing mill was luckily managing a stall condition as simple as an unresponded to spidops ex baked up by a counter catcher to force a few turns before a retreat, but like a lot of my decks that was last format where 90 hp and under pokemon had significantly more support. I want to like Great Tusk, but with it being hard tied to Sada or explorers every turn for optimal effects they look like they easily rend their own deck apart and be forced into really bad choices just to get the mills they need, while their opponent suffers far less threat of hand or on field disruption than nearly any other deck. what i think even remotely saves it is how tanky Great Tusk can actually be and the fact sometimes it can take KO's on its own in a pinch if you have no other choice, but on the second one it just proves the point of where this game is as to strategies. the games damage or nothing, with status builds getting support... in a format with equips that shrug them and even instaKO's off.
