Bosch T4B time-lapse unboxing and assembly followed by initial thoughts.
The Bosch T4B is the best miter saw stand I have found and just happens to match my Bosch GCM12SD sliding miter saw. It is solid, well built, rolls easy, and is easy to setup. The stand mates well to any brand of saw and allows for quick and easy removal of the saw.

WorthOverdoing For on the job work I use a 10 year old 10" Hitachi mounted to a FastCap Best Fence Pro 4. Just bought a DWS780 then went back to the depot a few days later not even looking for a stand at this time and they had this Bosch stand on clearance for $210 so I grabbed it up, got to the register and it rang up at $150. Couldn’t be happier with the score.

Thank you so much! What’s funny is I recorded this when I was only slightly considering a RU-vid channel and recorded it just in case. I was very new and didn’t think I did a very good job. If I had to do it over again I’m sure I could do better.

one thing I learned was to super glue the rubber shoes that are on the adjustable metal feet, you will lose them otherwise, and then you will scratch the floors you roll over while getting set up (sometimes). Also thread them all the way in when you transport the saw from job to job, they can get bent, rendering them useless. Two people can load it on a truck. if one guy is moving it, remove the saw from the stand, it's very easy.

I’ve had mine for several years and haven’t had a rubber pad fall off yet but thanks for the heads up. If I’m putting it in the truck I usually pull it off as well or have help. It’s too heavy otherwise.

Saw in pickup easy peasy. Leverage 😉 I just got very same saw, I take it back-and-forth to work every day. Well, not every day, but most. I was running the Dewalt 12 inch slide miter-saw with stand. As far as mobility goes, the Dewalt was much more mobile. As far as integrity, the Bosh is by far much more robust. Therefore harder to move around and get through doorways some doorways I can’t get my Bosch saw through. I never had that problem with my Dewalt. I’ve used my new saw for about a month now, and it’s a beast, High quality well built and thought out. There was definitely some field testing because it doesn’t just work well, it works well for the Mechanic. I suppose I’ll just get a bit stronger moving this one around. That’s OK it gives me the strength to keep these knuckleheads in line. 💪🏻 PS I miss my laser 😢 The aftermarket looks a bit sketchy

It is definitely hefty. I agree on the laser. I’ve seen some mods for lights that cast shadows, which are accurate. Have you thought about that?

I would love to see a video that shows how compact that saw/stand combo can get when put away. I assume some combination of angle/bevel will lay the motor assembly down to save the most space when in storage, but it's really hard to tell without the actual saw and stand together.

Stefan Peterson I love it. Best one I’ve ever had. Tremendous amounts of power and super smooth. Make sure to take the time to align it and adjust it square and you’ll be very happy with it. Yes, dust collection leaves a lot to be desired but it’s kinda hard to catch dust off a blade that isn’t sitting in the same spot.

I got used to a miter saw with a power strip and outlet on it. It's so easy having my table saw plugged into the outlet on the miter saw when they're sitting next to each other. I only have to run one extension cord and it has a safety switch. I wish more stands included a power strip.

Why do they not include instructions for assembly in the box? Mine did not come with instructions and I watched another video that had no instructions. I'm supposed to trust their quality?

Well, now - after watching for 7 and 1/2 minutes, wouldn’t it be nice to see the Bosch GRAVIY RISE STAND actually do the GRAVITY RISE and FOLD UP and roll around?

I really wanted to buy one of these and use it to slide the saw in/out of the truck. Looks like everyone says it will be too heavy though, and I see when its collapsed the bottom isn't flat for sliding over a truck gate. P.S. the price is now a set $370

The saw is heavy but built very well. If worries about weight the saw does detach from the base in under a minute with no tools. They made a very nice clamping system for removal of the saw. When collapsed, the wheels and handle are the lowest points. You can grab the handle and lift it just a bit off the bed and roll it out. If you’re trying to slide it up and over something I don’t think it would work well until you got to the tires. Then again, if you removed the saw it would come out very easily. Thanks for the update on the price. Unfortunately, RU-vid doesn’t give an option to edit the video with an update like that. I’ll put a note in the description though.

It’s not too heavy. There’s another video showing a guy putting it in and out of the back of his truck. I put it in the opposite way of the way you will see the guy in the video putting it in his truck but they are both the same concept. Just picking up one side at a time. I am 57

I have their other saw stand. The only thing on this is cost and the fact that they should have provide out- rigger supports at that price. Without its only good for light trim. Some professional say its too heavy also and kind of wide for some interior doors.

+David Davis I find this one much easier to fold and transport. Compared to the other stand, the tires on this easily rolls over rocks, hoses, etc. The regular stand is also a pain to fold. I find this one is well worth the extra cost. I don’t leave my saw setup so foldability and portability is very important to me. I could’ve purchased a much less expensive miter saw also but I think the engineering of the Bosch slider is worth it. I’ve cut 2x12s with ease on these extensions so I’m not sure why you say it’s only good for light trim. I appreciate your input though.

It should fit with no problem. The stand has a lot of adjustment to fit different saws.

the ridgid is of great quality. for a home owner the ridgid is a much better choice . if your a contractor than go with the bosch.

I had been looking at the Ridgid for quite a while before grabbing this one but I deciding on the Bosch over the Ridgid because it has a better designed sliding mechanism. It sits flat against the wall, is much smoother, and has zero play. The Ridgid is still of good quality but homeowner vs contractor usage is subjective.

@@harrydoherty8299 I’m a home owner too but am willing to spend more money on tools where I see fit. I buy the tool I feel will do the best job and fit the situation, which is why I chose this one. The Bosch is heavy, which I’m sure most contractors wouldn’t care for. It would be more suited to someone who wouldn’t be lifting it. The Ridgid is lighter.

How well do the extensions work? Do they deflect a lot when you put a heavy board on them?

+Woody Feffer I find there is very little deflection unless extended way out with a very very heavy board. It is easy to compensate for though because the end of the extension is vertically adjustable.

cant believe you're showing us the orientation of fasteners in tubing and couldn't find the time to slide out the material stand to show it's relative stability and strength...or how about use the stand and make some cuts??? jeez. what a senseless review
