You can take advantage of the visionary guns being hitscan by using something like jugram or scwert to bait out a dodge or get a blockbreak, and yeah the meteors are mid. They give good area denial though, and can work as a smokescreen to use other moves. Visionary volt is painfully mid, but rockets do 2 bars and the meteor does 1 and a half bars, so if you can survive long enough to land 3 meteors you can kill anybody. (against other mode users it's just a matter of surviving, or you can play it risky and try and land mouse aimed rockets) The guns sound effect is unnoticeable in the chaos of clan wars, so the move is completely free in there.

I hate how op water is rn, I have been using it for a while cause I thought it was fun and now I’m gonna feel nasty using it, and on top of that, knowing the devs, they are going to nerf it past the point of usability after this

lightning at 30 is insane SAYING IT DOES LOW POSTURE DMG AND DMG?? the z does 4 bars of posture to anyone not on kendo and if it lands u can combo extend into basically anything, the x is a instant tp with minor stun that allows for skills like tora, sonata, fast fang/waterfall dance and dont get me started on the C which is a large hitbox, medium startup insane dmg skill (if u miss it ur screwed so u need good aim) and every skill does insane dmg and gives immense vizard bar

I used Visionary back when type soul got re-released, it was my first legendary in the game and I was devastated when it got nerfed so hard

I really like theatre because I like shunsui. I’ve been a theatre main for a while and I hear everyone saying it’s bad but I feel like it’s not that bad as people think. It can be really good to the point where I managed to get to plat 3.

I’ve fought many water users, those who didnt know what they were doing was annoying to say the least, but those who did, i havent won against them yet to this day 😐

Kyoka is really iffy. Sometimes it feels over powered with the clone and other times it feels like you don’t have a shikai.

I like how the first shikai I spawned with, which was so mid re-release is now meta

Good to see the shark respect, using it with kendo right now and dodge variant and it’s really strong and fun (still need to get segunda though). Personally though I think blood should be lower since its base is filter tier in how good it is. If someone knows to be prepared for the z 2nd use and that you can parry the 2nd hits of x and c, it quickly drops in usefulness to mediocre. Not bad, but not nearly as good. Considering switching off blood right now since it got old fast (revisited it since it used it in original release TS then rolled off on rerelease). Judgement and poison both look pretty fun even though they are weak Purely subjective idea, but could you do a “funnest base + modes” tier list (considering both at once)

The thing with blood is that the x can be parried or blocked even if you get them for some reason and it still takes health even if you hit the first swing so you’re gonna be punished either way. The c takes like 25 blood and repays it only if you hit the second hit which is also blockable and easily parried; not to mention how it takes health on how long you use it so you can’t approach with it compared to other legendary elements or even the fucking commons and rares. Then there’s the z which is has always been a worse old berserk x like why doesn’t it go forward? It doesn’t have hyper armor, but like the rest of the blood moves they’re quick, but even then it’s a 50/50 when they hit you and you hit them. Then you can only use it again if you hit it which again if you’re not getting cucked by runners and easily parried moves then you get around 40 blood. It makes sense they do less damage than other elements because of the healing, but why the fuck are you punished for still hitting the 1st part of the move? Even the ragdoll z can be dodged, blocked, parried, I framed, countered, and if they flashstep when you use it they dodge it. Then there’s other elements and even weapons that have hyper armor or tps, or ranged moves. There gonna have to rework all the fucking element rarities if some commons and rares are gonna be fucking better than legendaries and even mythics.

Kyoka is so balanced for being a mythic. The clone carries it. The only reason i think its not that good because if the x get block they are stunned for 1 second which punishes them for using that move which is stupid

Water was deadass my first ever shikai since old type soul. People clowned on me for using it and calling it trash. It was ALWAYS GOOD. Now that nano made a video and it got buffed everyone started using it like the sheep they are so I just switched to ink.

really only got quipes with the placement of kyoka and duality, duality is definitely the better element. (Speaking from my personal experience fighting in ranked/cw/pubs as and against kyoka. If youre wondering my last placements were plat elite- plat 1 with a kd of around 7 for the plat 1 season (means 120+ wins to about 18 losses, similar kd for my plat elite placement. I couldnt play more as I got finals, university is not easy :D) (It's gonna be a bit of a long rant but if you find the time to read it and share your pov it'd be much appreciated is my message to anyone reading :D). Kyoka's Z move is a delayed damage amp, potentially a dead move. It's dangerous to use this move in 1s where the match is dragging on as it may lead to them surviving long enough to kill you before Z amped proc kills them. This latter notion is just 1 example of how the move can be a dead move. Kyoka Z requires the user to essentially combo the living hell out of the opponent. And the rest of the kit is not really strong enough to facilitate that process as regularly and safely as possible imo. (Side note: 1's are the most common fighting situation a player will be in. Grinding ranked-cw's and 2v2's are the most optimal ways to play the game at the moment and 1's are overall the most common fighting scenario that comes up in these features. I believe that is exactly why a shikai's/partial's/schrift's worth in 1s specifically should be weighed in more in discussions about its usability.) X is an instant punish. A lot of shikai's/schrift's/partial res'; especially the popular ones such as but not limited to: Starrk, Light, Blood, Ice, Ink, Confusion, Volcanica, Fire, Berserk, Kyoka, Duality, Wind, Water, Heat, Iron, Thunderbolt, DD, Balance, Glutton; have the capability of instantly punishing kyoka's X into a counter combo, if not trade the move for further advantage down the line such as thunderbolt T to G synergy | kyoka c | ice counter | Ink nameless + debuff | Blood Z to set cripple for a follow up play and prevent them from comboing further etc. This is not limited to elements btw, the new arrancar mythical weapon, old weaps such as wonderweiss-barragan-harribel crits for arrancars; longsword crit - hammer and Greatsword hyperarmor m1s for srs; spalten-both hakuda weapons for quincies have the capability of either evening out kyoka x/punish it to facilitate a counter combo/or simply trade it with you getting more damage on them. This is without mentioning any tree skills that are able to interact with kyoka's x or simply cause enough delay/distance to again either trade/punish/counter combo kyoka x. With speed as the meta kyoka's whole kit suffers immensely as the clone is dead to a single dropping fang. Clone can put in work if left uncheck but the high likeliness of the clone bugging or dying instantly especially in a meta where speed and kendo are the most dominant trees is much more apparent here imo. Kyokasuigetsu has the potential to be near uncounterable or at the very least execessively pressuring but its genuinely more likely to get in situations where the best move the shikai has, which is the clone counter, is instantly mitigated. Resulting in the player to rely more on their non-shikai moves. I would like to reiterate again that I'm saying this as a player who's average rank would be around lower master to season-elite master (I have achieved the latter rank in the first season of rerelease but since then havent been able to grind ranked as much as I dont really need to plus university xd). I am somewhat confident in my ability at the very least to weigh the overall pros and cons of specific elements whether it'd be shikai/res/volts or weapons or essences etc. ik this has been a long essay atp 💀 but I wanna make this clear: I used kyoka extensively, throughout its nerfs. I play a 45 Kendo - 20 Speed build | evis-sonata | horizon core. I believe that I had an easier time pvping with the same build but with elements such as starrk (already above kyoka on this list ik and yes Im crazy for playing the same build on different race slots :D), berserk, ice and blood. I do also feel as though ice was left too low on the list. It's definitely top 15 rn imo with just the shuriken buff + the counter being always nice and countering significant meta threats. But yea, the rant is about kyoka so xd I'd say kyoka is top 20 for sure, but top 10 is a bit of a stretch with the current capabilities and interactions of other elements with common and meta builds. But ofc people have their own experiences and opinions so I respect that.

Ngl, most arrancar res’ on this list would be much lower without a Partial Essence. They suffer a somewhat similar experience to Quincy schrifts suffering from 2 moves but at least arrancars have options to obtain their missing move. Partial Essence still a pain to grind tho.

As a Kyoka user.... The fact it has 2 attacks (One being a clone with like 30 hp) is the only reason I consider it bad. Most players don't stay in m1 range and the clone is really only annoying for hakuda users. Now if youre Kido kyoka then thats different, but with kendo or speed? Nah they 1 shot the clone with fast fang, the X can be PUNISHED by attacking the air (Spam cero or something with a big hitbox), and the Z is useless against runners because they refuse to get close enough to stack. Its legit worse then beserk what are you smoking

You need to be in m1 range to pull people in with benihime now, I appreciate them buffing the avesive now it 1/2 percent of the time gets out of hakuda combos. Z moves dont stun any more and dont deal any dmg. Plus their reatsu is still insane. All in benihime really isnt thaf good

Duality that high is criminal, It’s not allat. The shikai is lowkey aight, not deserving 4th place. I use ice with speed and it’s amazing. Not to mention that ice bankai is insane, I was getting 2v1d and popped ice bankai later when I was 3 bars still in bankai he pops duality. Just for me to almost flawless him, not because he sucked but because the mode is mid, the aoe thing is good but the huge slash thing is mid af, easy to dodge and the shikai moves in bankai are aight. Also your gameplay is edging material.
