Yeah man I agree with you 100%! The guys in my area that do it for a living have a trailer with exmarks on them. There’s a reason for that. That’s what made me buy a Lazer Z e series for my farm.
Much respect bud! I started my first company at 17. I was the only kid in high school with a business. Ive had three different businesses now a and I do very well. You’re on the right track. I’m gonna disagree on the motor though. At least for my 61’s I had Spartans (dont buy them by the way, complete garbage), I had the fx850 27HP and the were okay, but they bogged on my lawn at over 4”. Great motor otherwise. The motors outlived the crappy mowers they were attached to.

You need the bigger motor because you have a Scag. Exmark decks are closed baffle type, scags are more open baffle. Exmark imo have the most efficient decks and don’t need 37hp motors but that’s just my opinion. Ive run Scag, great machines no doubt
I just got the 72 inch lazer z x series with the 37 hp vanguard with the oil guard. It really comes down to cut time. The vanguard runs faster. I have two 13 acre properties and my new mower saves me about 20 minutes.
I bought a Lazer Z after hearing people rave about it, its an ok machine, basic like you mentioned... its basic, nothing wrong with that. Doesn't stripe worth a shit in my weed yards and does a "bleh" job at best on my fertilized & irrigated yards. My Tiger Cat II throws grass farther out of the deck, stripes anything that grows (and does a hell of a better job at it any day of the week; no stripe kit on it), and doesn't need a double cut half the amount of time my Exmark (I like to call it the Shitmark, no shortage of small problems with it). Will be buying more Velocity+ decks and no more Ultracuts - it's whatever works the best for you and your business at the end of the day. I got a quote from a dealer for almost $23,000 for a 60" Lazer Z X series with a bagger, Scag says $19,500 for a 38HP Cheetah 2 with a bagger too. I don't have a Weingartz with the zero downtime and have been very disappointed with the 60" Lazer Z with the FX801V. (But the engine has behaved... so far...)
I've heard these are nice mowers, but my dream machine is still a Scag. I'd take a Scag over any mower. I doubt you'll find very few people who wouldn't want a Scag anything. Haha
I have the '21 Toro ZT4000 - very similar machine, exact same motor. Do yourself a favor and junk that chute blocker and install a QwikChute - hands down perfection over that chute of yours. Question - why is there so much grass clippings on your deck as well as all over the foot platform? I've cut 8-10 acres lawns and have never seen more than a few blades of grass, cutting 6"-8" lawn at 3-1/4" height. Curious. Nice review - that is a great machine!

Yes. I’ve definitely thought about it, but since it’s still under warranty it’s no big deal when it breaks down cause weingartz will give us a loaner when it’s getting repaired. Eventually I will sell it.
Well yeah, even a 15hp won’t bog down if you’re cutting at 4.25 inches. You can’t be talking smack against a 37 vanguard. No comparison. Love exmark though buddy 🔥got a couple myself, gotta replace that cub though for sure 🫡
Having the exact opposite expierence with my Garbage Can S Series... same exact mower in this video except it's a 2014 S instead of an X. Broke down in the middle of a yard today as a matter of a fact. Scag to the rescue... again. Only used it thinking a 60" Exmark would be faster than a 52" Scag, I was wrong!
@@thelawncarekid the only thing I would like on my lazer would be a side tank, under the seat takes longer for me to try to fill. It’s a dumb thing I know but I liked the side tank, but like the look of under the seat tank
