Cool images, but that do not reflect the SUPER HIGH AIR POLLUTION leves. Luxury at it's best trying to disguise it. Paris and Milán have the same issue. There are many studies linking air pollution to heavy health problems. Air pollution leves can be easily checked with many apps, and could help to inform on longer live quality perspectivas for your customers.

Mexico city is probably the coolest place I've ever been. Love that it's getting attention but I don't want too many people to move here and run up the prices 😭
C'mon, the Mexico City area has been attracting people for literally centuries and it's not going to stop: Aztecs, Spaniards, Jews, Lebanese, Spaniards again (Spanish civil war), Argentinians, Colombians, Venezuelans and, of course, Mexicans from every corner of the country.
Other neighborhoods that as a local I would highly recommend are Coyoacán and San Ángel, both use to be towns outside Mexico City but then got absorbed by the urban spread, and yet, they were able to kept most of their charm intact. They are really incredible for nightlife and a cultural scene. If you want something more affordable in an urban middle class style, you have Del Valle, Nápoles, San Rafael and Narvarte, all with a similar vibe and beauty as Roma Norte yet more chill and considerably cheaper. Now if you want luxury but in more intimate and less touristy areas, you have San José insurgentes, Guadalupe Inn, Minerva, Tlacopac and of course Chimalistac, an absolutely beautiful hidden gem with some residences that can reach many millions of dollars, in this old and classic colonial Mexican style that I find so unique.
@@pthithic There's good and bad areas like at all the countries, I go there every year, Mexico City is very modern, I use the teller machines where is safe, it's better not to carry big amounts of cash in your pockets while in vacation in any country, people get pick pocket in Paris, Rome, Barcelona at the subway all the time.
We were completely surprised by Mexico City. After seeing it for the first time we couldn’t believe how clean everything was and how friendly the people greeted us. It for sure is a beautiful city to live. For us, the altitude through can be a bit tough to get used to. It‘s one of the highest capitals in the world. We flew to Puerto Vallarta next. @@pumpkin_it_slawson3588 Sure, higher altitude just generally means slightly less oxygen. That by itself doesn’t mean to be a concern, everything you do though is slightly more exhausting. That can be a good thing too… you generally need to breath slightly heavier, kinda like you are doing sports. When athletes train in higher altitude, they have more energy when back at the lower altitude. As for the swellings on the hand, thats something your body will adjust to within a few days. Then your system will know to breath heavier to get that oxygen. Especially in the first few days you will be tired a lot faster or even feel some headaches, but again, after a while you will have adjusted. That all being said, after your body acclimatized, there won’t be any negative health consequences. Unless of course, you have already problems with oxygen absorption. If that’s the case, you’d have to discuss this with your doctor (which i am not!)

I lived in Mexico City for four years, and I loved it! I was in Roma Norte. I'm trying to move back! Polanco is beautiful, but I prefer the Condesa. Condesa, to me, just feels a bit more bohemian and warmer than Polanco.
As a native from Mexico City I would say that this is a pretty accurate video. I would add Coyoacan, San Angel, Chimalistac, if you're looking for a Colonial atmosphere with huge and beautiful estates. Pedregal is nice too but more modern. The drawback is that these neighborhoods are far to the south, but they have their own thing going with great stores, restaurants, and night life. I would strongly recommend a video on Guadalajara, it's a very interesting city. Thanks for the great content and Merry Xmas to you and to all of your audience!
I was in La Condesa for the month of November and had an AWESOME time, can't wait for next November to go back and explore more neighborhoods, time flies when you are having fun.
We're big fans of Coyoacán. Very nice with great character, and somewhat more affordable than Roma, Condesa, and Polanco. Obviously not an issue for your target demographic, but you can find higher end places there too.
@@Pimp-Master I could see that. I find it nice to walk around though. We would walk or take ubers, which was easy. I imagine if you want to access other public transportation that it may be less convenient.
Really? When I lived in Mexico City Coyoacan was quite a bit more expensive than Roma. Good to know. I really like it there and plan to retire to Mexico this year.
Love Mexico City...I am in Guatemala...the old colonial capital of Central Antigua, Guatemala lovely, quiet and safe...the capital is 2 hours away. There are exclusive areas of Guatemala CIty just as in Mexico CIty, exclusive hotels, restaurants, shopping etc. Mexico CIty is gorgeous...my favorite area is Coyoacan.
Queretaro isn't exactly a MC suburb, but within two hour drive from downtown. This is literally one of the best 1 million people plus city where the whole area is almost all upper class and rich. My brother lives there with his wife for 10 years now.
I lived in both Queretaro and Guanajuato for 8 years total. I very much like both places but prefer living in Queretaro because Guanajuato is a bit provincial and lacking in some basic things, so you have to drive to Leon -- a city I don't enjoy -- to find them. Queretaro has pretty much anything you'd need. On the other hand Guanajuato has a charm factor off the charts. It's magical.
CDMX is also in a great location. You can take a one hour, hour and half flight to almost anywhere in Mexico. I would suggest that you make a video about Monterrey in case you haven't yet. Love your videos!!!
My only complaint is you seem to focus on the upscale areas of MC while many of us would be expats are looking for the best bargain living in the most decent living areas. One of the biggest draws to Mexico for Gringos is the fact that living there is usually so much more economical.
I agree with you, the shopping experience alone unparallel in Latin America from luxury malls to humble markets... They are quite a few more neighborhoods that you could live in, to me Chimalistac it's just gorgeous and in general all that Southside of the city, around Perisur Mall it's really nice...
One cannot make a complete list of CDMX's top "colonias" without including the iconic Coyoacan, San Angel and Pedregal neighborhoods. San Angel and Pedregal are home to wealthier families than Polanco. Makes sense given the obsession with fortress like conditions that are sine qua non of Mexico's upper class. It is also a given that the intellectual and artistic elites of the Spanish speaking world are overrepresented in Coyoacan, San Angel and the Pedregal. Not to mention, these 3 places are some of the most breathtakingly beautiful areas of Mexico City. I think it's also important to highlight how Santa Fe and the Centro Historico are important neighborhoods insofar as places that are resplendant in their own ways, but also important in writing the narrative of the New World.
Truly Coyoacán and San Ángel are the top intelectual and cultural elite places to go. All the artistic life and work is there. Thank you for mentioning Centro Historico. In my opinion one of the most beatiful, historic and truly unique neighborhoods IN THE WORLD. Its very dangerous but all the cultural life, and actual Mexican "life" and way of living is there. All the history, art, food. Incredible. I've always believe that Centro histórico is where all the salient aspects of the surrounding neighborhoods bleed in. Since its truly at the center of the city. If you want to see every aspect of Mexico city at once, on steroids in an organic and non curated fashion, go downtown
It is more of a culture thing, in Mexico we can't just have it as easy for a virus as in other countries where you can just lock down and stay put. In Mexico, the people have to go to work in spite of the virus. There were a lot of consequences and down sides for those people who did locked bown and couldn't sustain themselves, as well as business, and now because of is inflation is at an all time high. And for those who did go out, at one point there where as much deceased people as there were infected. So yeah, we can't get a win. Food is great tho
Mexico simply didn't have the option to lockdown as completely as the US. However, they certainly don't treat COVID as "just another disease." Masks are required everywhere, and no one complains about their rights being taken away. Every place of business greets you with a squirt of hand sanitizer. If you think COVID is some conspiracy, you are probably better off right here in the good ole USA, with all your peeps.
There's just so many. You can literally just end up in any city and make the best of it. That's what I did. I could have been just as comfortable living in San Cristobal de las Casas as Puebla, or San Miguel de Allende, or Aguascalientes. In my opinion, they all have their charm. But a Mexico series would be a good idea!
We landed in Mx City and from there you can get a nice bus trip to Cuernavaca. It’s a scenic trip and around Cuernavaca lots of things to do an see. Wonderful weather most of the time. I can’t wait to go back.

You mention the well known central wealthy axis: Lomas-Polanco-Roma-Condesa. Every rich foreigner in Mexico City must visit this wealthy axis. But there is the south side wealthy axis: Coyoacán-San Ángel-Chimalistac-Pedregal axis. This south side wealthy axis is another must visit for foreigners.
My neighborhood is near Roma Sur. Area around Etitopia subway station is full of little shops, ice cream shops, cafes, bakeries, an American BBQ place , a few sushi shops and lots of taco stands
I'm another one who would appreciate a similar video on best neighborhoods in Panama City. If EU goes down the route of mandatory you-know-what, I'm bailing out of the continent lock, stock, and barrel. Panama looks like a great choice with their friendly nations approach for residency, and citizenship down the road.
Apart from the central area, Coyoacán, El Pedregal, Lomas de Chapultepec, Tlalpan (near the University of Mexico campus), Nuevo Polanco, San Ángel, etc. Basically the city's whole West and South-West sectors 👌❤️👍
Surprised you left off Jardines del Pedregal since 3 ex presidents owned homes there (along with my ex-wife’s father). Coyoacan is one of my favorite areas. Also, some of the best restaurants are located in Polanco.
São Paulo, Buenos Aires and México City are very similar cities, in my opinion. You should visit this others two cities to get the vibe of them too! and Great job in the channel dude!
All the places you mention are beautiful and wealthy, they have, as you say, a lot of commodities and luxury, but (and this is a huge "but") if you live there: the traffic is insufferable, you can be inside your car for an hour trying to cross Polanco (I've experience it meany times) Condesa and Roma are full of restaurants and Bars so the nights aren't peaceful at all (believe me), Lomas is filled with people that go to work so rush hours are a nightmare to drive, everyone is either trying to get to work, eat in the limited timeframe they have or go home at night. A peaceful, affordable and beautiful living in Mexico City could be Coyoacan near the main plaza, San Angel, Narvarte, Del Valle, Pedregal int he south, these places are full of places to eat, shops, markets, parks, and with big avenues to get though these areas, they are far from offices, hipsters or night life. Thank you for your interest in the city, I was born a raised here and I'll never leave, I love it to the core :)
I am Mexican and love so many places all around Mexico but if I were to live elsewhere beside my coastal town in North Baja, I would only live but in Coyoacan, Mexico city....History, museums, charm, great food!!, markets, stores...gallore!!...walking distance!!

Sounds great...been there at least 12x in Mexico, but would be worried about air quality in this ginormous city... everything else is truly amazing, great vibes, but if you could include factual data on air quality, that would augment the videos a lot as many people are concerned, or having asthma and similar 'diseases of civilization'...thanks...
I lived in Mexico City for about six years when I was an adolescent. I lived in the Roma Norte and Colonia Del Valle for the most part. I had an aunt who lived in Polanco, and it was beautiful! I also had an aunt and uncle in San Angel Inn that I thought was beautiful. I'm surprised you didn't mention El Pedregal, Bosques del Pedregal, or Coyoacan. When I lived there the south end of the city was the most desirable, except for like Polanco, Las Lomas, etc.
We have more neighborhoods in Mexico city,Coyoacan,San Angel,San geronimo,insurgentes sur,Sana Fe,Pedregal...it's not only 3 neighborhood...Mexico city
You should also try the colorful neighbourhoods of Tlatelolco, La Guerrero and Tepito... you'll be -shot- I mean shocked from its beauty! Joking aside; I've been living here 15 years, and if you don't mind dropping the luxury a bit, and stay in a normal but cool area, I could recommend my neighbourhood, Coapa.
My abuelos lived in Tlatelolco, I last visited in the mid-90's after college. Yes the city core area is much more gritty, dirty and urban. Its a mix of industrial and modest apartments. Not fancy at all. However, enjoyed walking out of their apartment and Reforma is only a few steps away. Or buying pan dulce in one of the shops in the unidad. I got to know the city bc I went everywhere as tourist but mostly working for a relative doing errands during those 6 months I was there. I love America, where I was born, but I equally love Mexico as the land of my roots.
Roma Norte I think is the best. Yet, still expensive. But very nice part right below Polanco. I LOVE THIS CITY and BOGOTA.........Colombia has prettier ladies personally for singles!
For the affordable and middle to middle high class neighborhoods you can go south to Taxqueña metro station. Miguel Angel Q is an avenue with really nice neighborhoods, as is Miramontes, going straight south. The neighborhoods surrounding the National High School 5 are all very new, nice, and have large houses, and have easy access to Tlalpan avenue. Tlalpan avenue in itself leads into the historic center, and has a metro line. The neighborhoods there are also nice and affordable.
Polanco has always felt too Rodeo Drive to me, doesn't really feel like being in Mexico. I prefer Coyoacan, although I've been meaning to spend some time in Barrio Roma Norte to get the feel of it.
That's a great way to put it. It's not crazy popular with gringo tourists for that reason. Just a little too shiny and neat. Too reminiscent of Rodeo Drive. But probably a great place to live in.
Polanco is one of the most famous and incarnated to Mexican Culture boroughs in Mexico. It's not that is not Mexican it is that that's also a part as valid as the rest of Mexican culture and life.
I think that you should also include the neighbors on Mexico State, since there are many luxurious neighborhoods where even you can have a ranch and still be pretty good connected to the rest of the city
My wife's Peruvian, I'm Mexican, and we'd love to live in any of those neighborhoods. Polanco would be our #1 choice if we had that level of wealth. One day, though!
Roma is so over rated. I live in the slummy part of the center of DF, (Guerreo), where the rents are low and you can get a cheap, hot snack at 1am, Sunday night if you want to. The red bus and the subway stations are only a block from me. The convenience can't be beat.

No restaurants in Lomas cause it's the wealthiest residential only neighborhood. People from Lomas hang out in Polanco, which is the most important place for upscale dinning, partying and shopping.
