@@EddieX Awesome, Im torn between these 2 vehicles for a new family vehicle, mind you they are very similar but the GMC has the heads-up display and more speakers for music. Cant wait to see it!
If it's anything like the 2023, the midrange stereo rocked without the overhyped 4" subwoofer. We just added a 10" Rock-Fos and amp under the cargo floor, and it performs much better than the factory sub'd version. 🎧 ☺️
I can't decide if the exhaust is Hilarious or just Sad. It IS a 4 cylinder ya know. What is that? A separate pipe for EACH cylinder? 😂😂 I'm pretty sure, If you look underneath..there's one small exhaust pipe running front to back with a splitter after the single muffler, just before it comes out of the bumper, assuming all of those needless pipes are even connected to anything. They could also add a non-functional hood scoop and massive rear wing...for looks. I should put those tips on my riding lawnmower, it will "LOOK" BadA$$!
Props for daring to disparage the 2.5L 4 cylinder. I'll wait and see if sales plummet enough for them to add the V6 back to the lineup. You cannot deny that when you start off from a stop, you are driving a plain vanilla underpowered 4 cylinder..if you did deny it, you'd be lying. I also noticed you didn't try towing any rated 5000lb trailers up the side of a mountain . I missed out on the 2023 Z71 because it didn't exist.😒 I'll miss out on the 2024 because it has a 4 banger. Still not a fan of not having a fog light option. I hope the've improved the dim, mostly useless interior lighting. Did they add floorpan lights back yet?? It would also be good to have a cargo light override switch like they do in the CX-9 so you're not stuck in the dark after 3 minutes. Don't know why you think the 2WD LS will be the bread and butter of this generation. Maybe for rental fleets. When I was looking at 2023s, the hardest thing to find was an LT 4WD not loaded up with sunroof and other garbage that I didn't want to pay for. I haven't looked at sales figures for 2023 yet, but I'd be willing to wager that if you remove the rental/corporate fleet sales, the LT sells better than the LS. Just wish they'd had an 8 passenger LT version . 2nd row captains are overrated and troublesome when you use the back more often for cargo than people. Don't forget to ask how much it costs to replace that digital cluster if it goes bad. I would have to budget for an extended warranty on this new over tech'd lineup . I might end up just switching brands next year..maybe Nissan will have figured out how to build an upper control arm by then. 😏
The case model looks so damn good, all it needs is some aftermarket 22-inch wheels at least 275 thick to finish off the stance. It’s the best looking suv in the class in my opinion offering best value due to its practicality and design. But most exciting part is i hear it drives better than it looks.
Horrible it's a 4 cylinder that's turbocharged....=stress on motor to make power of v6 = not reliable for long term use. Why couldn't they put a NA v6 in this thing....I was excited until seeing that. Guess I'm sticking with 2017 traverse until GM gets right. V6 z71 with a $36k price tag.
I'd still be willing ting 44-47k on a Z71 with a V6. But just think about all the millions of dollars you'll save getting 2 MPG more!! Who needs practicality?
@ginakerry2588 we have 168,000 on our 2017 v6 going strong minus 2 sensors replaced. I highly doubt they will see that on a 4 cylinder that's turbocharged, lol. I think 40-90k miles people start big repairs on these. 2mpg is chump fuel efficiency lol. Especially compared to the cost fixing parts that are over worked. That savings just went out the window when bearing goes out in turbo and throws the motor 😅 run it lean if sensor goes bad. Module starts dumping fuel to compensate so it don't lean out burning up pistons. Reliable cars are not turbocharged, lol.
22" rims is a recipe for disaster if you live in the snow belt . Prepare to replace 1 or 2 bent rims a year due to pot holleage. IMO my LT rides a bit rough on the 18's.
Sadly, no. At least they moved the headlight back up this year from the debris collector location at the BOTTOM of the bumper in 2023. I've already had to replace one headlight housing at 8000 miles. $1350 from dealer for one headlight...chrome trim sold separately. Oh goody.
I don’t really think it’s family friendly. The cost of this is going to be over $60,000. It’s going to bring hardship to the family budget. What was Chevy thinking.
It's just a 4 cylinder and that is scary to many Americans. Sure it gets the HP, but will it last? Especially for 50-80k... I'd just go get a Tahoe or a Sequoia at the 60-70k mark and even a Certified Pre-Owned one around the 50k mark.
This motor seemed to do well in the heavier and larger Chevrolet Silverado, not sure what makes you think it won’t last in a Traverse. Fuel economy hasn’t improved significantly because the focus was durability and power. These types of comments are just fear mongering tactics from the Toyota fan club. This vehicle is nowhere near $80k, it doesn’t even enter into the low $60k’s. You can’t get into a comparably equipped Chevy Tahoe for under $59k and surely not into an expensive and bland Toyota Sequoia with this caliber of tech or practicality for the same money. The Sequoia doesn’t even offer as much cargo space as this Traverse which is just sad.
GM’s lack of hybrids is so glaring in a four banger turbo application like this. The prior V6 was more suitable, turbo heat and unreliability will kill this vehicle.
A lesson for you when you review mommy mobiles: first review exterior and then interior features before going for a drive. This is not exotic car here. For example, we like to hear more about that shifter which is new, or the fact they moved light switch to infotainment. Useless review of driving only otherwise. We want to see how roomy the different rows are. 🤦♂️🤷♂️
That s a big SUV with a four banger turbo. No way would I want to stuff 4-6 humans and their belonging into this thing with that engine. Add to that the same 8-speed transmission withFederal class action lawsuit against it, and this is a hard ass. Get a Honda Pilot instead.
Very good point Greg. But of course that's a $3000 turbocharger, so this engine is actually MORE expensive to fabricate than an aspirated V6. 4 cyl is a non-starter, especially for towing.
@@mik3yl3 Yes agree .. suspension after while for some reason gets stiff. Weather you run a lot or commuting in the city. If new car the car is fantastic all the way until it gets stiff. Air suspension in Tahoe is Great actually.
