I think it's worth also noting that NB's major athletes (like Sterling) have been wearing these for a few months. They clearly preferred a laced Tekela over the off center lacing of the Furon.
Was never-ever interested in the laceless one with the mid-cut collar. Although I wouldn’t mind this version at all. I think NB is at the stage where Under Armor could never reach. Which is that all their silos are compelling enough and are very competitive to the more established football brands.
Many of Under Armor's soccer boots are just alterations of their American football cleats. They often use exactly the same materials, even the uppers are the same. UA isn't making a proper effort to break into the soccer market, in other words. New Balance, in contrast, is making a dedicated effort at the soccer boot market.
I say NB has gained a lot of ground on other brands in the last 4 years in the football boots market and have become a good alternative for many who wants to try outside of Nike and adidas. Under armor had a point where they were making solid football boots between 2013-2017 but even in that period they had some very questionable boots.
@@CognizantCheddar they had a good period in the football boots market between 2013-2017 but right now I agree their boots just alteration of the American football cleats. Football boots wise they’ve fallen behind so hard
It is hard for me to comprehend any soccer cleats to be better than Puma Future Pro! Thank you SR4U for the review of these! They are amazingly comfortable. I decided to buy those even though I told myself that I would never buy synthetic cleats again and that I woukd stick to leather.
Wonder if you will do boots review of latest version of Mizuno Morelia Neo (The IV/4th iteration), either beta or traditional tongue version, or even both. Anyway, enjoying your content as usual, Josh! Keep bossing (do the best in) it!
I can't really find one so does this boot also have a take down model? If yes, what do you think of it? And what do you think of the team and academia models of the 442?
I have these and they are soooo nice bro. Cannot recommend more. So comfortable and well fitting. Snug but not tight. Colorway looks good with a neutral colors (black, white, grey). If yall have any questions about these just drop a comment and I got yall
How is the lockdown? When it's hot, I have problem with furons that when I cut, the upper stretches to the side too much and losts it's lockdown. Is the problem here too?
@@Kevin-mk3sq I have used the laceless model, and I would say that the laced one is better because of its adaptive fit with the laces. Also not as tight as the laceless one.
I just got these. I haven't tested them yet. I want to grind down the blades that wrap around the forefoot as I believe they are too aggressive for AG pitches around here. What would you guys use to grind down studs/blades. Thanks!
Josh, do you recommend these for AG pitches? The current facility I am playing at has a weird turf that has everyone slipping and falling when they wear FG boots. I’m not sure if I should invest in an AG boot since the fields have a significant amount of the rubber pellets. I’m not sure if a TF boot would have enough bite. Thoughts?
Thanks Josh! Your review really sealed the deal on me getting these and taking the leap from Nike or Adidas. The unique stud pattern made all the difference.
@@matty.1899 honestly bro, I also have a vapor 15 and I still prefer these right now. New balance has definitely caught up with Nike and adidas with these boots, in my opinion. I also would definitely buy the new + model of this boot that just came out if I didn’t already have these.
Hey!! I’m in love with these boots, I’m about to buy them…. But I always have the same problem with boots, I have wide feet and I feel that after the boot stretches to mold my foot, I feel my foot “hanging” from the exterior side… and this obviously could be solved with a wider soleplate, but every “wide” boot only features more upper material and not a wider sole plate, do u have any boot suggestions ? Do u think this synthetic material might stretch less (causing less hang from the side ) Thanks a lot !! Keep up the great content
I had similar issues with my nike tiempos. I think it happens with all full leather shoes. Would recommend getting synthetic boots or boots with a synthetic midfoot. these would work i think
any insight into how the width on the tekela compares to the width of the furon? I find the furon (standard width) slightly too cramped in the forefoot/toe area...curious whether the tekela are a bit roomier in that area
Puma was killing it until they raised their prices and changed some things on their Future model... Now NB is killing it! btw Idk if anyone else noticed but Nike is finally offering Merc elite in AG in the US! but only 1 colorway so far.
Josh, please make a review for the new most expensive turf boots of all time (219.95€ RRP) - new balance furon v7 pro TF and are they worth it for this price range.
Anyone else have problems with the insole slipping even with grip socks on the Furon v7? Have rolled both my ankles numerous times this season since I purchased them.. had to result back to my Puma Ultra 1.4
Damn, I wish I saw video before I bought the NB Furon. The Furon feels great. The off center lacing on the Furon is questionable. I gave my brand new Adidas crazyfast.2 away because it gave me blisters on my feet in two places.
Also quick arning please don't spend 120 dollars on Puma NITRO series running shoes. They function like their cheaper running shoes. Just flashier and more foam
@@Soccerreviewsforyou thanks Josh! You should do more video on the alpha elites. I watched and appreciate your review but its just not a lot of channels out there are taking a look on it.
Pov: you're used to small toebox lol nobody should be used to small toebox unless your feet are small please don't shove your feet into Cinderella's slippers
