I get that. At 43 I want to start playing again. Broke a toe about 7 years ago and just stopped. Can't seem to find the full tongue version at cost process though
It’s just awesome that adidas more or less is returning to a classic design inspired by the older preds but also even more awesome is that many of their current boots all have the U-throat standalone tongue back. Nothing against one piece uppers but the feel of these classic standalone tongue design boots is something else. As someone who have enjoyed the mid/late 2000 classic preds like the absolute and powerswerve as well as some of the early modern day preds like LZ2 and Instinct. This is definitely a good blend between the classic Preds and the modern ones.
Just a thought, the design of this new Predator would totally lend itself to a leather upper variation Seems like it would be easier to do compared to all the other preds since the “return” of the Predator
@@JonathanRodriguez-nz9nw they had a few 18/19s and the edge where they chopped the toe off and switched it for leather (meh), but I feel like with these they could legitimately do a full leather upper with the way it’s constructed
Cool, cool, but the last version was already great. Are they ever going to fix the AG sole plate or do we just have to give up on the 3 stripe forever?
How is the dampening on the ball? I picked up a pair of Tiempo 9 Elites and I don't think I could ever go back to something without the awesome dampening that I get from the Tiempos. I realize these aren't leather, but the previous Predator Accuracy was a tank.
In recent years i personally moved away from Adidas because in my opinion they lost their way in many aspects. But when these came out a week ago i cant wait to try them & they finally came in the mail couple day ago. Try them on & had a 3 hours friendly match with my buddies & Ohh boy What a Fantastic pair. Love the Upper so much, it's slim, light, grippy & i felt dancing freely on the pitch with full ball control at all time. The Touch on the ball is second to None, it is just a Perfect Balance between old school leather & super thin synthetic, it fits right between Nicely. Striking element does help u curve the ball slightly easier depends on ur own techniques. Studs are solid & right amount of aggression. But the Best of All is the Fit, it wraps my feet snugly, not too loose & too tight just Perfect. The heel area is Surprisingly Great, i can move my foot freely without wobbly feeling at the heel. My pair is foldover tongue & i Absolutely Love it, i frequently shoot the ball with the top part & the shots are so Clean. I guest my previous boots will be collecting dust for quite sometimes.
How do these studs grip on natural grass compared to something like Morelia Neo, Alpha and/or Tiempo? Seems to be less studs overall especially at the front. Need them bites.
Hey Jamboree, are you going to review the Under Armour Shadow Pro cleats? Several colorways have come and gone. Several people have said they are like the OG Hypervenoms, which I doubt. Maybe you could compare them.
Hey @Soccerreviewsforyou do you plan to do a indoor version review for these (specifically the Predator Elite IN Indoor)? If not, would you please consider doing one? All of the indoor ballers are curious what the indoor versions are like (and if the take down version is good also). Love your videos and thanks!
I have the accuracy and I have to say, I heard these are are almost 1cm narrower on the forefoot. Personally I'd struggle with anything narrower than the accuracy unless it was k-leather and would break in a lot
I'd be curious to hear people's experiences with breaking these in. I've played with them on 3 occasions now, about 2 hours each. They fit my wide foot well enough, but they don't really quite feel molded to my foot yet. For lack of a better word they feel a bit stiff/chunky for me. I got the FT version. I'd be curious to hear others' experiences
As excited as I am for this range of predator, the lack of integrity from adidas in terms of their pricing really irks me. Here in Australia the pricing for this model is as follows: Tongue version: $460 AUD Laceless version: $350 AUD Laced version: $340 AUD Now, Adidas have pushed the laceless models for years, always at the premium price point, the predator accuracy + model retailer for $440 while the .1 model is $320 How does a top end laceless model drop nearly $100? The tongue version being $140 more than the previous model just because of the tongue? And the standard laceless makes more sense increasing by $20. And like you said, the tongue version’s only difference to the laces model is the tongue, but is a premium of $120. It really rubs me the long way, I’m so happy that the tongue is back but the fact they throw this crazy price tag at us, knowing we’ll probably just pay it to have them pisses me off.
I live in NZ and same situation here. The tongue version is at the same price point as the X Crazyfast+ at $500 with the other two at 390 and 370. Laced .1 boots used to be around 320
@@Soccerreviewsforyou im still using venom elites, planning on getting new boots and want something similar, should i go with the new predators or get the predator accuracy .1s,
These look alot like that predator xp a rugby variation of the predators and the colour way is the exact same as the adizero RS7 of 2021/22 . I know josh has reveiwed a few rugby boots here and there , would be interesting to see how the latest models compare to each other
Lightest Predator? Not sure this counts, but Predator 18.1 Women variation was lightest Preds that you've recorded (7 ounces / 199 grams)... but keep in mind, you were wearing size 9 back then.
Traction is great. It's pretty much the same stud pattern adidas has had on almost all of their boots since 2010, so if you've worn an adidas boot in the last 14 years, you know what to expect.
I am sure I am in the minority. But these are called Elite not 30. The 30 part i believe is just for the anniversary edition released first but not the name of the boot.
Hold up...if these hark back to the days of the old preds how is it still similar to the accuracy which a far cry from the traditional features of the the first iteration of preds???
The shaping and style of rubber elements make a huge difference! Similar materials used compared to the Accuracy, but overall a very different experience
I much prefer the 2+ over the 2.1, but it is very much a choice that needs to be about personal preference. I talk a lot about the differences between them in my review of the 2.1 if you're looking for more detailed info 👍
I’m confused on the new predators it has the number 30 indicating that it is the predator 30 and a lot of content creators call it the 30 but on the adidas website they call it the predator 24 I don’t see a single difference I think it’s a branding issue
It’s been 30 years since the original Predator released. Initially when it launched, adidas was calling it the Predator 30, but have since changed the name and now call it Predator 24. All the same boots though 👍
Those are limited teaser editions (these and the Preds 30 worn by Bellingham), I think, they will introduce turfs with 1st official pack (similar to crazyfasts and pure.1s in the past). I'm actually really curious, which version will they use for Turfs.1 - LL, laces or tongue. 1st pack is suppose to have the classic black-red-white look. That would be great for turfs.1.
so damn good to see at least one brand going back to an original tongue. The stupid sock-like one piece upper have literally zero benefits. Less comfortable, less lockdown, less adaptability ...
Huge miss that they were just another synthetic boot. Why even bring the tongue back if it is in a stiff material? The brands are just saving money with cheap materials and charging even more for a worse product, and people actually buy it..... crazy...
Im just gonna put this out there...not a fan of the design. It looks lazy and lackluster. it looks exactly like the previous version but just with some rubber fins =/
