The tagline for the original Alien was: "In space, no one can hear you scream." For Romulus, the tagline could be: "In corporations, no one cares if you scream."
My only issue is having some young actors. The old ones (and I mean the movies) felt like real truckers (1st. one) and Marines (2nd one). This one looks like a Scream movie in space with a bunch of teenegers. Hope it doesn't disappoint,
WTF!!! Yet another cinematic highpoint from my childhood has been targeted for destruction. Saw it in the theater when it was first released, and I loved this film so much that I asked my parents to rent it so I could watch it again with friends on my birthday. It must have just been available to rent, as that birthday was in the early 80s. Why, Terry?! Why?
The animated robot and the witch movies look the best: more innovative and better storytelling. The others just seem so grotesque and full of brutal violence.
I remember the original Time Bandits having an underlying critique of consumerism and technology. I doubt the newer version has any such themes at all; it will be meaningless pablum and souless.

You know, if you just take out the wordy bits and dates, and run this as a surreal sci-fi horror monster future history movie, it works! Great special effects & CGI. Awesome production values. Enough Apocalyptic, over-the-top death, destruction and (very briefly) sex, to satisfy me age 13. Never met an Apocalypse I didn't fall madly in love with. No gore? Bore! 'Cry Havoc, and unleash the Dogs of War! The Demons of Destiny! The Darkest Dooms! And don't forget to feed the Cat when you're through. Or he'll eat you.
Transformers done............Alien, Disney need I say more...............Captain America with wings, also Disney :(.............Coppola is way to old to create...........Borderlands, maybe it looks alot like a Guardians rip-off.............Time Bandits a definite pass.............Rebel Moon maybe.........Oz, absolutely done with villain made as heroes...........Deadpool, you'd think a sure bet, but Disney screws everything up...........Dune, exact same story done over and over and over again..............LotR, if you don't care about Tolken might be good.................Beetlejuice has potential...........Venom definitely no, Disney is poison especially when the trailer is crap...............Nosferatu, totally depends on who plays Nosferatu............Kraven, again making villains heroes is a big pass.............Agatha, a definite Disney flop...........More Hellboy, really :( So yeah looks like maybe 1 or 2 the rest is just unimaginative crap...............Hollywood has lost all creativity...........
So Venom is Sony, not Disney. Dune has been made as films once before. Coppola's age gives him experience. Revel Moon is trash. Hellboy is from the creator himself for a change. Deadpool & Wolverine breaking records without you. Maybe you should avoid films and read, a lot.
Every film here, for my older generation, would have been considered for children or the mentally insane, even though you have far better technology you NO LONGER have films made for 'adults' and as society you have no idea what the true 'HORRORS' that await you.
Alien movies aren’t 99.9931299% identical, I swear. In this one, the thingy that violates the human body through the mouth is practically caressing the idea of a penis-like, really close. Obviously, this is an evolutionary leap in the Alien franchise and cinematic history. Bravo, right? I’m sure that little detail will have fans digging deep, which means more money for the studio. What a genius move, OMG. ;)"
Except for wild robot, where you could debate that it’s a cheap Wall-E rip-off, there’s not one original idea here. It’s all sequels and shit. This is ridiculous!
Alien:Romulus ... what a joke. Even today we have weapons and tech to finish this 100 times. However, the persons in this movie are dumb enough to get wasted in numbers. Also I adore careless corporations who wasted their dear resources and do not retaliate...
