As a kid who squarely grew up with the 90s turtles, I cannot express how excited I am for the 2003 fans right now. They've been left out too much. They did such a great job of capturing the style.
Just saw the teaser image for the next wave of 2003, it will Have the Shredder, Splinter, a Foot Ninja, and Casey Jones I am so stoked for the 2003 line, its Ninja time
@@MalikDAKing I would love to see this company tackle Shredder. This was the Turtles incarnation I saw on TV, and think this one's version of Shredder is very badass. Dark grey suit, savage red eyes, hell yes 😍
@@Malacine facts! This cartoon introduced me to tmnt as well!!! This is def one of my favorite takes on the character!!! I forgot to mention we need a Karai and Foot soldier figures as well!!!!
Reminder that Lyin Brian Flynn said the original figures HAD double jointed knees and elbows (they did not) while denying the reddit leaks and defending his anti-articulation insanity.
I got the Playmates reissues but in terms of articulation they leave a lot to be desired. So I got the Super7 as well, and I'm honestly just completely locked in for them since I saw they're doing Splinter, Casey, Shredder, and a Foot Ninja as Wave 13. I'm definitely down to at least own all the main cast of that show that they make
Just wait till these hit clearance. I know they made a whole song and dance about how they’re making as much for retail now, but almost all Super7 hits reduced pricing because they charge way too much.
As someone who just started watching the 03 series and desires a set of turtles for my shelf, I’m gonna follow your advice. I see SO much Super7 Turtles product still on clearance at BBTS so hopefully the long game pays off for these ones too.
They're apparently made to order, so hopefully people resell them for fair prices. I preordered because I needed them to truly complete my TMNT collection (though now seeing NECA is doing 2012, and theirs will scale better with the rest of my figures than the Revoltech ones, I'm tempted to grab those)
Next wave in winter he's coming! Can't wait, I'm definitely grabbing every wave of 2003 they do (up to a certain point, I don't need random incidentals to get figures or minor villains, just do the Turtles, their allies, Karai, Baxter, Hun, Shredder, maybe Bishop, and call it a day)
I have to say these new turtles look amazing. I just hope that we get the dark turtles from this series. Their are some of my absolute favorite ninja Turtles designs ever.
Absolutely love these new figures, I was hoping for the weapons from season 5 but regardless they look great. Idk if they look $55 per figure great but still great.
I think it’s great that they’re getting around to the 2003 turtles. That said, I’m extremely disappointed that they seem to show no interest in moving forward with any more of the original line. I understand the rights issue with Usagi, but the fact that they didn’t even release General Traag to complete that cardback is a damned crime.
It’s lame that the extra heads are only available through the website preorder. I gotta get these through BBTS because I’m moving next week. Those extra heads should be available through every site. If I paid for these now my wife would murder me.
They look cool but they need like a paint wash or paint shadding to make them pop. The color looks kind of plain. Will see once I get chance to see them in hand
I haven't ordered it but apparently they're coming Q4 of this year. Hopefully you get those if you ordered them, weird that they're getting into wave 12/13 but wave 7 hasn't released yet
I'm not the one you asked, but it depends. Love my NECA movie figures (though there's some things I wish were better about them, like the left hand hole on Leonardo is loose which is a bit unfortunate, no idea how to fix that without messing something up but might try and find a fix for it). Easy recommend if you can find them anywhere for a decent price. For the Mirage Turtles, if you go for the 2008 ones, prepare to fight the insane aftermarket prices for those guys, I'm currently in the process of doing that while also saving for a con which has led to me losing out on a Raphael someone was selling for about 100 (they're selling Leo for a similar price and I grabbed Mikey and Don from said seller for about 100 each, but they're used and incomplete hence the lower price). I'd say for cost efficiency, maybe the newer ones unless you generally prefer the style of the old ones like me. Wish they'd cut the middle man and just reprint the old ones, but it is what it is. Hope this was helpful, and good luck finding whichever ones you choose
@Universally2 I believe that they reprinted the newer Mirage ones recently, so those shouldn't be hard to find, but they're also on the aftermarket. Usually colored bandana versions of the 2008 ones are bootlegs, but I've heard the bootlegs aren't terrible (I'm passing on them because I have bad experience with bootlegs myself). If you want NECA cartoon figures, your best bet is the new Pizza Club ones that are currently on store shelves
I am not okay with that bonus pack seemingly like necessary heads. It is like when video games cut out finished assets to make DLC. Given the mixed quality of the previous releases, I don’t want to preorder anymore.
The extra heads aren't necessary, but they're just a little bonus for pre-ordering from their website and meant to represent the faces they make in the intro (except Donatello, one of his default heads does that better) so I'd say they aren't required if you just want the figure itself. However I wish the bonus pack was something else instead like extra hands or that they came with other accessories
If they even do, the site says they're made to order. I feel like if you really want them then your best bet is pre-ordering or hoping that resellers mark down the prices and that there's a ton floating in the wild to begin with
These people release pre-orders with renders; they don't even have a prototype for the promotional images. The improvement is double joints in the arms and legs? For 55 dollars? It's a joke.
they look nice but the articulation is still a complete joke. the poses are so generic. like they just dont care. so cynical. least effort, high price. s7 in a nutshell.
Don't care about these versions of the turtles they should of made figures based on the 1987 cartoon then these. I'll just stick to necas cartoon line.
