The very best moments from The Addams Family Values - one of the greatest films ever. This is a fan appreciation video. I do not own any of this footage. All rights belong to Paramount Pictures.
"You married Fester, you destroyed his spirit, you've taken him from us. All that I could forgive. But Debbie... Pastels?!" LOL! Morticia Addams Queen of Shade :D !!
I guess that's their secret--they could not honestly give a damn what other people think or what they must look like to them. Gomez and Morticia aren't trying to impress anyone or push an agenda. They're just madly, unconditionally in love, and that's all that matters. :)
Andrea Bonilla he has stomach issues (it’s rumored but not confirmed he had stomach cancer) and it got bad one night and died of a stroke in the hospital in 1994.
You forgot the scene when the whole family is watching the baby over his cradle and Gomez goes like "He has my father's eyes." and Morticia "Gomez, take those out of his mouth.". It had me DYING!!! XDXDXD
Man, Raul Julia was born to play Gomez. His passionate outbursts are just hilarious. "Not in this house!" is still one of my all-time favorite movie lines.
"I have seen evil!" (meet the new Addams!) "I have seen horror!" (Lurch: "Present!") "I HAVE SEEN the unholy maggots which feast in the dark recesses of the human soul!" ("They're at camp.")
My name is Gomez Addams and I have seen evil! *Shows Baby* I have seen horror! *Lurch waves* I have seen the unholy maggots, which fest in the dark recesses of the human soul! They're at camp. Best part in the movie
I think the entire cast totally improved their characters in this sequel. They did great in the first Addams Family, but in "Values" they totally perfected everything. No one else could've played them better. Amazing quotes, hilarious scenes, crude humor, great costume design, great scenery, perfect acting!
I agree. After finding their characters in the first movie the second one they had them down pat! This cast is really underrated, everyone in it, even the side characters like the camp counselors and Joel, Amanda, Cousin It's wife etc. are hilarious. Need more movies like this today imo.
@@FranP25 Because the American Bald Eagle wasn't and isn't extinct, they're endangered. You'd think a pair of people tasked with caring for children would know that.
Um, Carolyn Jones and Jon Astin? The originals who defined Morticia and Gomez and were emulated by everyone after? Don't get me wrong Huston and Julia were amazing but Jones and Astin are second to no one!
I just re-watched it for the first time in many years, and as soon as Joan uttered that line, my brain refreshed and I re-called the punchline, and I couldn't stop laughing........even before Raul delivered that word in a way only he could. I'm laughing now even thinking about it.
You forgot this part: "Oh, I know! Let's all clean our rooms!", "Hello Polly, I'll clean my room, in exchange for your immortal soul." That part had me laughing for five minutes straight.
Fester: "You'll be right back, won't you?" Debbie: (picks up bags) "Of course." This movie's humour tread that wonderful line between hilarious and dark.
I love that part in particular because i was not interested in boys (or anyone) at all and found that super intrusive. It's really heteronormative and plain gross.
@@kendallrivers1119 nah, I thought so too. It’s just intrusive, and heteronormative too. And sexist too. You won’t see adults usually asking that of boys outright in mixed company.
I always wondered, with Gomez's and Morticia's passion and devotion to each other, and their obviously heated sex lives....how come they ONLY had 3 kids? XD
True enough, I just questioned it because Pubert seemed a surprise to the whole family, but maybe Gomez just forgot to use propeer protection in the throes of immense passion
My god Raul Julia is the perfect comic actor I can't think of any other who is so smooth, calm ,cool and yet quote one liners leaving me roaring with laughter. I can't put my fingers actors either stupid or straight man Julia is something else he neither. lines like 'you are mr debby', 'swing low sweet chariot' and 'god I beg you take me' are all funny by his performance alone there's no joke there no one being made fool of just a great actor taken before his time
@@scottbuckley823 I mainly realized it after seeing him in Street Fighter. Like if there's any actor perfectly suited to that level of melodrama, it's him. (I can just picture him getting to bellow "RIIICHAAAAAAAARDS!")
i'll be a victim ! All your life. this is the best quite in the history of quotes, it has never been more true than in 2015, we have reached the point in history when there are more Millers than Wednesdays around, this is tragic !
beeb evans The annoying girl wanted to pretend to be someone drowning, or "the victim", so that Wendy would get into the water and practice swimming etc. So she said "I'll be the victim!" Wendy (the serious girl) completed the sentence by saying "All your life." She was basically saying "Yes, you will be the victim for the rest of your life."... in other words, she's predicting that the girl is going to continue to be so dumb and gullible that - even when the annoying girl grows up - people are going to take advantage of her stupidity for the rest of her life and make her a victim. Men are going to take advantage of her emotions in relationships, her bosses are going to take advantage of her at shitty jobs, and other things that happen to dumb people. Hence why its super dark for a kid to say that to another kid.
If you haven't seen this movie, you need to! The scene where Christina Ricci (Wednesday) forces herself to smile after coming out of that torturous happy cabin is some of the best facial acting ever lol. She looks truly uncomfortable, pained, and then sloooowly contorts herself face into a big-eyed, wide grin that looks just fake enough to be incredibly disturbing LOL. Brilliant.
"You have married Fester. You have destroyed his spirit. You have taken him from us. All that I can forgive... But Debbie..." "What?!?" "Pastels?" I love this part. Morticia wounds Debbie not for being a bad person (that's okay) but by insinuating that she has bad taste.
Grandmother: "He could be... SOMEONE, ANYONE, GREAT!" Gomez: "Please... Take me instead." *Sobs* Laugh out loud. This family is to die for. As some already have. Ha ha! xD
2:32 this has got to be the best part the camera pan to each thing he is describing then at the final one about maggots Morticia without skipping a beat says “Their at camp.” god this film never get old.
My favorite quotes: "But your Debby’s love toy, you. are. *Mr. Debby!"* "Debby, my brothers wife. The *temptrest* of Waikiki!" "Don’t I ache and yearn and *shop?"*
Funnily enough Fester’s new bride would have fitted right in with Addams. She had the family who could literally give her all she ever wanted; love, murder, and money.
It's a damn shame that I find Wednesday's smile cute, for two reasons- One, she doesn't smile often. Two, I'm pretty sure I'm supposed to find her smile terrifying.
Movie goers in the 90s: The Addams family is so weird; they dress mostly in black, think that death and murder are hilarious/romantic, and loved/befriended every weirdo who came their way! Movie goers now: I relate to them so much.
What fun it is just looking back all these great performances, such an amazing cast, Wednesday's creepy smile, Gomez 'has the planet gone mad', The mamouschka, etc etc, truly marvellous... I just thought wouldn't it have been awesome to have Christopher Lee join as some lost grandpa, seems hilarious to me..
