I feel so old. I was only 15 when this was aired on BBC. The new series not the skits. Now ten years later and I'm in my mid 20s. This show never gets old though.

Years ago, I showed clips of Mrs. Brown's boys to an acquaintance to see if she'd like to watch the show. Instead of commenting on how funny it was, she spent 10 minutes arguing with me because she insisted Betty's accent was a horrible speech impediment instead of a northern Irish accent. Her "proof"? The way she says brown. That woman I knew wasn't too bright.

Hello David, thank you for your blessings. Brother I am born Indian but lived more than 1/2 of my life in beautiful Ireland but unfortunately I had to move to Australia due to my wife’s health issues due to cold weather. @@farnie5430 In the show, Betty is from County Donegal which is still in the Republic but odd in that it's still further North than Northern Ireland. They have the same accent and I agree, it's very "sing song" and many statements end with what appears to be a question.
