Italy much better🤓 Rome muchhhhh better than Athens..Greece has no Venice..no Florence..Greece has not an Amalficoast ..No Cingue Terre ..No Sicily..No Gardalake . Greek islands...if see one island...you see them all..Greece kitchen is fat..en not much choices ..They put mayonaise directly on thonsalade?? The italian towns and citys amazing. Italy has the best kitchen and coffee!! and icecream in the world.. Italy is the best country for a holiday...

"11 days, 2500km" I completely understand you! We made ~2200 km in 8 days two times, total ~4400 km we run around Crete and it's not enough for sure! It's amazing land, we love it so much! Once you come there, you wanna go back over and over again.

I love how Crete is far down south from the rest of the country. Despite the crisis, the island seems to be far removed from the troubles of the mainland.

Thank you for the upload...I have been to a few Greek Islands including Crete...if I go back to visit Greece...I will go to Crete...has the most variety to offer...have great memories....my spiritual home...can't explain why...feel connected to earth there more than anywhere else I have ever been..if you go there, do hire a car...its really worth it....you won't wanna come back!

Don't hire a car, use public transport and limit global warming. There is good bus service to get you to most parts of Crete!

mike walsh Crete is so large that you need a car if you really want to get the most of your visit..its not easy waiting for unreliable buses and carrying all your stuff with you...carbon footprint is all none sense

Thank you! I am going to Crete on Friday and you have shown me the best of Crete, not the commercial side. We are staying near Chersinissos but nearer the old town. I don't do loud nightclubs. I like a quiet Taverna to relax in the evening, ready for up and exploring next morning. Cheers!

I went to a restaurant today who's owner grew up in Crete, he makes amazing food. Why would he choose to live here in Wheat Ridge, Colorado now? To bring us happiness? Mission accomplished! I had to check it out. Very nice man!

Going in 8 days and i can barely wait. I think the average temperature in august is around 28 degrees, and when looking at the weatherforecast i'm expecting high 20's and low 30's for my 14 day stay.

thank you so much for this video! great song choices :) we went to Crete this September and the whole island was amazing. We didnt have much time to explore, only catched up with Kournas-Chania-Elafonisi trip and it was WOW. I guess next time better try some Rethymno's car rental :D Which side of the island did you enjoyed the most by car ? Is the orientation on the roads hard to follow ?

YES september is perfect time to visit Crete. I suggest to stay near cretes hightway, somewhere in the middle, so you can drive to east,west, south and dont forget to use map with gps to see all island, it is best combination :) I am sure you can rent car in any little or big town.

I'll be spending a few days in Crete on my honeymoon and I don't know where we will be staying or what we will be doing yet -- just that we will be there. Any recommendations for accommodations or places to visit while we are there? Specifically beaches would be nice.

GFCoyle i suggest to stay in the middle of Crete if you wanna visit all island :) In Crete all beaches are very good, but different, you can find beach with sand and with stones, but all perfect for snorkeling and swiming. The most beautiful sandy beaches are Balos and Elafonisi.

The superficial Californian music killed the vibe for this video. This isn’t North America, this is Orthodox Crete. Using Greek music and showing the insides of monasteries, which is the core fiber of any part in Greece, would have been appropriate.
