Nabil saying that "the British came and took some stuff" from Nigeria. Just wait until he learns who rounded up and traded that "stuff" for some three hundred years previously!
32:55 the things to remember about American news audiences is: they are very easily distracted and entertained by the most simplistic shit. There’s a town in Pennsylvania called Scranton, and their news station WNEP 16 Scranton had a toy train set that ran in the background. And the people were obsessed with that thing, so much so that in the middle of major disasters and even the pandemic their biggest concern was why the train wasn’t running. Like I said: easily entertained.
In truth I don't watch a whole lot of Television so I was wondering who a fair few of the folk there were (but) The standard's really high. That Scottish lass's quip about *'Apparently we really love the Welsh ............. To be honest that surprised me'* . Pure gold
OK, so, since the comments here are still fairly active, I may as well ask. Was there an episode where someone stood up during the end credits, and Paul ended up running around during them to show the guy how to properly ruin the shows closing? Or did I make that up?
If I were David Tennant I would've hit back at Richard Osman with the dig of "Amazing Richard how well you did on that crisps/snacks round and in fact the whole show without Googling it as you normally do, ya lanky streak o' piss!!" 😝
Actually looking at it again Richard got it all wrong he answered with mostly corn based snacks and the question was how many flavours of Crisps can you name? To be strict about it! 🤭👎
I used to be a fan until they had some numpty on who criticised Jeremy Corbyn for letting the country down, a comment that went unchallenged by anyone else on the panel. Look where we are now in 2023, and tell me how it could be worse under a proper social democratic Labour Government. Privilege and money rule as ever.
Nah it wouldn’t be worse, comparing what Corbyn would have done with Venezuela or Argentina is fatuous. What the poster is forgetting is that Corbyn thought he was brave and principled but actually he was a spineless wanker, who cosplayed as a democratic socialist but had no political nous at all. He talked the talk but just didn’t understand the game he was playing. Ian has called him out on this many many times and he deserved everything he got.
"Big in Japan"? Alphaville? How can you not know that one? Hell, I know it, and it wasn't even a hit here in the US. I'm sorry, but if Ian and Paul know this little about 80s synth pop, how can we expect them to understand the intricacies of UK politics? It completely ruins their credibility, if you ask me. That's it; from now on, I'm getting my political insights from "The Only Way Is Essex".
Referring to episode aired 8th December 2023; talking about Boris Johnson; i must say most of the ill jokes cracked about Boris were unnecessary sins that lowered their sayers quality.
