Something I wish the rv industry would do is take like the bunk space in this camper offer it empty and have modular furniture for sale to make that space your own or just let people put what they want in it , I bet there’s a ton of people wanting that.
Yes! I get we can try to rip it all out ourselves but it's so much easier to just start with the clean slate. Like, I already have a nice custom desk I would want to put in the space, as long as it's 60"x30" it'll fit great, but the "office" models I've seen often integrate the desks in such a way that you can't use your own furniture. And they're often not well optimized for mobile office work anyway...
Are you kidding?? Think of how many bunk bed builders and installers would be out of work if trailer manufactures did as you suggest. Think of the increase unemployment numbers in Indiana. Manufactures would have to charge more to leave something out. But on the plus side, thinks of the increased profits and shareholder dividends. No, it’s not likely to happen. It’s way way to practical and logical to just let owners modify the bunk space as they see fit. Next thing you’ll be suggesting is trailers sold without thin mattresses so owners can select their own preferred mattresses. Hersey I say. Heresy Respectfully, W.S. 😂😂😂😂
@@willagoateatit3298 Small toy haulers typically aren't built with the same level of furniture/features. They're often stripped down to next to nothing to save weight & the seating is often uncomfortable/nonexistent (more so than normal, I mean). Not to mention the tie downs on the floor are pretty annoying if you have zero use for them. My dog would get her foot caught in them all the time, for example. So by the time you redo the floor to remove the tie downs, replace all the existing crappy furniture with "better" standard RV furniture, and then put what you want in the small space you actually needed, it's a nightmare and a half to get finished. The idea of a bunkhouse model without the bunkhouse is you get all the same upscale features in a smaller trailer, just with a little extra space for something where you need it. You furnish just that space and everything else is good to go.
We bought a 2023 29.5bhds because of your video on it. I don’t know if I would want a 2024 due to not having a king bed option. Thank you for the video Josh!
We struggled in 2022 with this model and the GD 28BH we ended up with. I do like the updates on this model but hate the one floor vent right in the way in front of the hidden pantry. Why the RV manufacturer puts floor vents where you would literally walk and could catch your foot is beyond me. The other thing even in 2022 that left us going with the GD was the lack of counter space like the 28BH. But if you don't need all the counter space then this model is a real catch. I do like the nose cap tinted window but what scares me is rock and other potential foreign objects on the road crashing through! As always Josh, you do the best job describing each RV's good points and bad!
Looks great! 💙 I’d love to know if you could remove the top bunk in that bunk room and use it as an office/guest room for short people?love that pantry and weights! And… it looks beautiful! ❤
You can't be wrong with Eagles. Body painted they must hold so much values over time. The bathroom and the room are amazing. So much space around the bed. The travel access is so cool too . This model is in the category "big enough" for me. 🙂
Love the layout! Love that this is now a full eagle. Not a fan of these bucks. Love the living room. Wish it had more door side windows. Like the colors. The kitchen is ok. Love the bathroom is nice. Love it have a good weekend!
I like it…. 1) yes I like the color palette both inside and out. 2) an option they could do is take out the double over bunks as well as the stairway to heaven (leave the storage drawers) and just leave it empty. This could then be used as an office space for mobile workers or just a big empty storage room for bicycles 🚴 or whatever. 3) glad to see the rear storage for a couple of spare tires 🛞 4) would like to see bigger LED rear blinkers going along the top and sides for safety turning. But I’m probably just being picky.
One of the best bunkhouses. I have only 2 gripes: 1. Jayco has not given me one. 2. I would absolutely love 1 extra foot added to the RV - one extra foot in the kitchen for prep space, and a bit larger slide as well.
Josh: Water weight question of in transit vs. set up and camping question. I know that in transit, the weight of the water is subtracted from the cargo capacity. But if a fifth wheel, like this Jayco Eagle 29.5 BHDS, has a cargo capacity of X (in this case1960 pounds), and a person loads it at or near the maximum ccc, pulls it to the camp dry and then fills the fresh water tank to 81 gallon capacity thereby adding adding another 650 pound, is this going to overload the trailer if it’s setup and stationary? How should the additional water load be factored into the ccc of a fully set up stationary trailer? Respectfully, W.S. P.S. Are you ever going to post another video of you runnning down tent camps again? 😀😀
I heard in a Brinkley video that cooled air was being heated in the roof area ducting before arriving at the vents. They came to 17:13 what they consider a more effective solution by having the air dispersed straight from the a/c unit instead of the warming roof ducting. Hmmm - worded oddly. Oh well!
I haven’t been in that back room with the door closed but I am sure they could hear it Though with this being a smart tv you could likely flip to a private listening mode via your phone. I do that all the time at home
Josh, say I come and say that I want this exact camper, but it has the theater seats and I want the hide-a-bed. Can you take one out and put the other one in, or would I have to order another one with the hide-a-bed? And if it has to be ordered, would that be an up charge? I’m just curious. I’m still trying to figure out the whole rv business!😂
They offer both theater and hide-a-beds from the factory. if the RV is already built and at a dealer, then it is possible but the cost of getting a fresh sofa crated and shipped is pretty brutal
Love the Jaycos. I wish this unit would have more counter space or maybe a flip up counter extension. I also wish Jayco would make the upper deck interiors taller than 6'2", I'm 6'4" / 250lbs and need a little room, especially in the shower.
