And the lines when she would call link after her mom calls her shows the mentality of a girl just following her parents example and she played Amber really well
IKR !!! She’s just too good , even her little gestures like reading the the mother daughter day card and saying no to not judging a book by its cover .....it’s just so perfect. She would’ve been perfect for Glinda
Can we talk about the fact that her acting is so good that I see her as 'Amber' and not 'Mal', some stars who play in popular movie series like her have a hard time detaching their face and acting with the character in the series, so when we see familiar faces we immediately associate.
I love how they have been mother and daughter two times. They actually look like they could Fr be mother and daughter. But honestly they need to be in even more movies as mom and daughter
I know right but as Amber she throws it into links face, which audrey did to ben in decendants when Ben told her he wanted to be with mal. Also amber and Tracy reminded me of glinda and elphaba as they both love the same guy.
Kristen Chenowith is a stage LEGEND. She owns every scene she is in, no doubt, and Dove is her perfect daughter match! I love seeing them act together!
When I heard The woman in the blue dress’s voice it sounded so familiar!! it wasn’t until dove cameron said “yes mother” that i realized who it was hahah! mother and daughter meant to be
“Whatever happened to the spineless spineless boy that I fell in love with?” Love the line, love the delivery just 😂😂😂 Also he LOOKS like a life size wax doll
I love that after singing cooties amber dosent get any more votes and Tracey gets more during the duration of the song so amber singing got Tracey votes lol
0:29 When she said "they're kids corny we must steer them in the right direction" sounded like "they're kids corny we must steer them in the WHITE direction"
@Anjelica Snorcket if so, then they could start doing re-runs in the meantime, for those of us that got here far later during the pandemic. I've missed on a lot of shows here myself, and I'm certainly not the only one. [Edit: typos]
@Anjelica Snorcket "the views have been abysmal" as in bad/low? Ahhh :( I missed The Wiz Live, Peter Pan Live, Hairspray Live, Joseph and the Amazing..., Cats, Little Shop of Horrors, Gypsy, The Wind In the Willows, JC Superstar, By Jeeves, Evita, Starlight Express. Lol quite a few😅 I've been able to find some of them on other pages, but the quality is not that good most of the times.
@Anjelica Snorcket oh, what a shame. That's so sad given that this page has over 1 million subscribers. Thanks for the aclaration! I assumed that since they have smaller clips from all of them here, that it meant that they've been screened in full. Yeah, DM has been my go-to. Thank you so much. :)
I wish they could have done the 2007 movie with the cut songs from the musical and added more of the original non-musical John Waters film and musical’s bite, punch, energy, camp, and humor from the original film and the soul of Mary Bond Davis. And Harvey Fierstein’s utilization of his lower register for comedic effect, especially in “Big Doll House”, simply elevated the material. I do think by the time he did this tv producing he was a bit out of practice some ways older so he didn’t have the same perfect quality he had when he did it in Broadway back in 2003-2004. But the movie version just had the budget, time, and professional movie making quality that you can only get when resources and rehearsal time is committed to a multi-million dollar project and I love the 2007 movie ending with a little Inez. Glad they made this tv remake even if it seemed more rushed and the lack of rehearsal time and money showed on top of pedestrian tv directing choices and blocking. However, Chenoweth was absolutely brilliant.
