I remember when he declared for the draft, many “analysts” said he was “a below average athlete for his position,” and that he was “slow,” couldn’t drive to the basket, didn’t have “hops,” was a “one dimensional scorer,” and I was so confused, because that was not what I saw at Arizona. Then I realized that these “experts,” never actually watched him play. They just glanced at his photo and stats, and maybe watched 2 minutes of highlights. I’m so glad he got the opportunity to shine in Utah, because he was criminally misused in Chicago. I remember he was the least heralded of a very strong recruiting class at Arizona, but he was the one I was most excited to see, and he did not disappoint. I always thought he had in him to succeed in the NBA, and I’m so glad he took that shot and ran with it.

He’s going to end up being one of the best big shooters ever and is an elite mid range game away from being a true superstar. It’s been so fun to see his progression!
