to me there's only one person who can pull off such a deep voice and it's Mads Mikkelsen (and I want to see him in other stuff too) but no can still top James
Story of my life. And somehow it worked out. Maybe "bad ideas" is really just an expression for everything that isn't convenient to us. It goes to show that just because we're not comfortable with something, doesn't mean it's bad. Vaccines are a prime example
@@simple-commentator-not-rea7345 aged like a woman, turns out it was bad and its perfectly normal not to be comfortable with a mass produced drug being pushed by several openly corrupt governments that had been legally proven completely untested on humans and untested against the very sickness it is supposed to fight off stay stupid, stay gullible, most of all; do NOT breed
"I tried not to think about when it was that my existence became less about the things that make up peoples lives. Or more about the hole, that losing those things leave behind. But I wasnt doing a very good Job at it..."
For a legitimate alcoholic and opiate/narcotic addict Max has a very admirable clarity to the way he views things. "I felt like the avenging angel, I looked like a fat bald dude with a bad temper."
If someone had told me six months ago this was where my life was headed, I'd have ordered a double of what they were drinking, drunk it, then blown my head off.
"The way I see it. There's two types of people: those who spend their lives trying to build a future and those who spend their lives trying to rebuild their past"
The one line that summarized the character perfectly for me: "Look at me. I'm standin' in a nightclub, listening to music I can't stand. I'm five thousand miles from home. I'm armed and I'm drinking. You don't wanna listen to advice from me, amigo."
What does it mean really? I'm foreigner and I cannot understand that quote. I guess it's something sarcastic or it may refer to something that I don't know. Or should I have to take it literally?
"The way I see it.. there're two types of people: those who spend their lives trying to build a future. And those who spend their lives trying to rebuild the past." - Max Payne
They didn't add one of my favorite quotes from Chapter 7: "I was deciding on whether to crash this party or turn back, when my natural grace and finesse made the decision for me. (Knocks over object and alerts enemies)"
"One of my bullets is buried down there with her. I tell myself it was a tragic misunderstanding, an awful mistake. I tell myself a lot of things. All of it crap."
You forgot my favorite one, "The smart move would've been sticking with Da Silva and heading straight to the hangar. But I wasn't about smart moves, I'm a dumb move guy. Hey Max why don't we just drive straight to the hangar? No thanks, I'll just head straight through the main entrance. I'll put a big shit - eating grin on my face and let these assholes take turns trying to kill me. That was my style, and it's too late in the day to hope for change."
True, true. I've beaten it over 20 times and it never gets old. Universal masterpiece. I like it even better than first two and it's pure blast to play. Fu*k haters.
The quote he says when he finally plays his theme is chillingly symbolic. The theme captures everything he's experienced perfectly, and him having just something to collect it all in have him that harmony.
"It felt like my vacation was coming to an end, only I wasn't heading home with a sunburn, a bag full of duty free and a dose of VD. I was making a bet that would put me in handcuffs or a body bag."
My favorite quote when he picked up some Pills "They Didn't help with my sea legs but they sure as shit felt good" that should've been in this video lol
James Mcaffrey's voice changed my life, and helped me through tough times. I will always come back to this quotes to revive his memory and strength. Rip, legend.
My favorite is towards the end when he's about to face Becker. "The mission was screaming suicide but I didn't give a damn. At least I'd die being a pain in the ass" Couldn't stop laughing!
been pretty depressed coming home today. Felt like I was quite the useless member of society. Max was always one I could vibe with when I was feeling down.
"It was monday afternoon. And i'd already been thrown out of a party, gone to a stripclub and gotten to a barfight... This latest midlife crisis was certainly ticking all the boxes.." lost it there
*read with Max's voice* I sat at my computer, wondering what I was doing, wasting my precious life like an alcoholic lying on the floor of his rundown apartment room suffering from a massive hangover. Then like an old stern blacksmith smashing his hammer against a sword fresh out of his forge, it hit me; it was because of porn.
"A fat bald dude with a bad temper" I found myself with a constant shit-eating grin during my playthroughs of this series (in particular this one). McCaffrey´s gotta have the best narrating voice ever and Max Payne´s gotta be the most miserable protagonist ever! xD I could probably make a video with hundreds of quotes from this bloak. I fuckin love this franchise!
James McCafferey was waiting for this moment. Too bad this game has not been out sometime today. It would certainly get to the great attention of fans. Like Roger Clark from RDR2.
"the pistol was a frozen lump in my hand, piercing the skin, gnawing me to the bone" thats from MP1, i always loved that quote and its def. my favorite
