Philthy is talking (Part 2) Philthy talks about fighting and his broken neck...!!....with Fast Eddy and Lemmy !! +Philthy drumming + Lars Ulrich talking about Philthys doublebass drums !! +live performance Jailbait (80th).........
Philthy was a one off original, loved by both Lemmy & Fast Eddie. The three of them made great music & were Motorhead. I don't think we'll see the likes of Phil & Lemmy again. Much missed!
Dear Phil your sense of humour and playing drums was legendary. I miss you so much, thanks for everything you gave us. you're the best love you Philthy
♠ Ahhh the good old days!! No disrespect to the current line-up, will be seeing 'em next friday in Brussels, but Lemmy, Philthy & Eddie....was just magic! ♠
It's amazing when watchmojo did the top 10 thrash metal drummers and they did not put philthy animal in the list the only 2 drummers that I recognized on that list was Lars ulrich and dave grohl
Brendan McGlinchey Different type of music. Mikkey or Phil would have been as out of place in Dain Bramage, Scream, Nirvana, Mike Watt's band, QOTSA or Them Crooked Vultures as Dave would be in a thrash metal band. He's more a Bonham or Nicko McBrain.
Brendan McGlinchey Have to say I've never heard of Paul Ferguson - will have to check him out. Dave's style is rudimentary but he's bloody powerful. Lemmy called Dave one of the best drummers he ever saw, and Dave was his first choice to replace Mikkey Dee when he went on that TV show, but he wasn't available so he brought in Matt Sorum instead.
Philthy is one of those people best kept in a box - amusing in very small doses, but probably a complete pain in the arse for longer than about ten minutes. Great drummer, though.
That's the sense I get too...hilarious, and a totally badass drummer, but exhausting and infuriating if you had to live with him for days or weeks on end.
No One Ever Like Him And Gaffer Tape Your Hand And Still Go Out And Play ,,Notice To All Other Drummers Let's See You Try That And Continue ,,RIP Little Philbert You Were Truly ,,One of A Kind
How about Rick Allen from Def Leppard? Bugger had a arm tore off, still drumming to this day. An operation here, some gaffer tape there, and as right as rain.
