Happy we could show it to you. Wadi Darbat is some place. This time (Feb) it was pretty dry, last time (Dec) it was less so, and if you go in summer during or after the khareef (monsoon) it’s pure green and overflowing with water… quite the sight. Spectacular any time though. Thanks Gina, glad you enjoyed watching 😃
Recognise some of that ,the shopping center used to go there for a subway :)Fazaya is an excellent place to camp, other spot I used to go to was Khor rhori ,opposite the archaeological site :) That lump of metal in the beach at Dalkut is what's left of a Yeme I military Mil8 helicopter the pilot defected to Oman and the left the helicopter parked on the beach ...
Good stuff, always nice to visit the malls for those comforts. Yeah, Fazayah is one of our favourite spots in Oman… nowhere else quite like it. We’ve visited Khor Rhori but never camped… no doubt it would be a good spot. Interesting bit of info about the helicopter 👍
Thanks for your videos! Planning to escape some of the summer days in UAE and head down to Salalah. Haven’t been there but looking for mountainous and greenery areas
You’re welcome, thanks for watching! Never been to Salalah in summer but it looks beautiful and green at that time of year, and so much cooler too. Enjoy 😃
Kim-Del, you remind me of Salalah again, I was there during the summer so in Fazayah area green and also dense fog at time I travel there also the way to shaat I could not able to see around. Thanks to bring me back in 2015, I plan to visit there again via coastal road.
Happy to help you bring back those memories. We’ve been twice to the Salalah area now but never in the summer. All that green and fog sounds intriguing but it’s great to be able to appreciate the views in the dry season. Good luck with your future plans 😃
