It absolutely is and he allows his guests to talk and they all seem so entertaining. We have not had a good late night show since Johnny Carson retired.
To be honest, Sir Patrick Stewart's idea really is great, Sir Ian McKellens role is just perfect for him :D, but nevertheless! Alan Rickman will *forever* be Judge Turpin!
Couldn't agree more - funny smart irreverent. Patrick Stewart's Sweeney Todd idea and joke was priceless - as was Ian McKellan's response to playing Mrs. Lovett. SPOILER ALERT! Interesting too that in Sweeney Todd the barber's chair tilts backwards and tips the hapless victim down a shaft to meet their horrible demise...ending up in Mrs. Lovett's pies. Was that the inspiration for G Norton's chair for audience members who didn't come up to scratch?
So, Julie Walters met her husband in a club, Maggie Smith renders kids speechless, Judi Dench has only been in one club in her life, Michael Caine can go an entire conversation without blinking, Julie Andrews can say the longest word in the world backward, Helen Mirren kissed Paul Rudd and Ian McKellen is fawning over Hugh Jackman.
I love Graham reminding Judi Dench of her one night of clubbing Judi "They took us in through the backdoor" Graham "Wouldn't they" Elton (pointing at Graham)"Story of her life"
Judi Dench being unsure of if and why she went to a night club is one of the best things to happen on this show especially because Graham had all of the answers lmao
I resent those other shows because of how strict they are with time when interacting with the celebs to the point that they get cut off and yet still insist on having some time with playing silly games.
Dame Julie Andrews always has something so incredibly regal about her. I thought she was an actual royal when I saw the Princes Diaries. She naturally exudes class.
Elton John and Judi Dench on the same couch. It’s amazing the other people in the room didn’t just get disintegrated instantly from being in the presence of two gods.
It the EXACT face I pull with my students as a teacher on a daily basis when they pretend to be listening but are fiddling with their smartphones under the table instead 😂😂😂
I know that Hugh, Ian, and Patrick were all in X-Men together, and I love X-Men. But my first thoughts upon seeing Ian McKellen and Patrick Stewart are; oh my god it's Gandalf and Captain Picard!
You can thank Graham for that! He makes everybody feel extremely comfortable and special! The closest we had out here was Craig Ferguson......... and he was Scottish anyway! Okay the alcohol doesn't hurt either! 🥴
Rob marshal who directed into the woods and Mary Poppins return said he first casted Emily blunt because he saw her in the devil wears prada and said he thinks she's the next maggie smith
I love how star struck some stars are about seeing their heroes and idols. Jonah Hill was just mesmerized by Julie Andrews, As well he should be. Hands down... Graham Norton is the best talk show host on the planet. Only here will you see stars truly be themselves.
Sir Ian mckellen and sir Patrick Stewart are the very definition of best friend goals. They are so cute and sweet with each other. They need to live forever.
I never realized this until now, but Sir Patrick Stewart literally got to chill in a wheelchair the entire time shooting the X-Men movies he was in while others had to run and walk and stuff. Such a gangster. 😂😂😂
Can’t stop watching Graham Norton clips. Genuinely the best talk show I’ve watched and the only talk show I can bear to watch for longer than a couple minutes.
Haha, when Michael Caine says he was talking to jack without blinking the whole time, and you go back and watch and he’s blinking every 3 seconds! Hahaha.
4:53 the one and only Dame Julie Andrews 🙌🙌 She was so much fun in both her appearances (1. with Jonah and Channing - 2015 and 2. With Ian McKellen, Jennifer Aniston and Resse Witherspoon - 2019) She should come often.
On a show that probably has hundreds of deadpan English comedy gold moments, that was one of the very best. Another favorite is Richard Ayoade talking about his book on Gwyneth Paltrows film.
