Saw these guys in concert at Janus Landing and it was a swell time. I didn't even smoke a big fattie. I just danced and danced and they put on a great show.
This group bring back fond, fun memories growing up loving a little reggae in a small city of Beaumont, TX on Saturday night; Third World were always guest on Soul Train, etc. My four siblings and I were acustom to all genres of music because of our well-rounded parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ralph and Jeridine Tuck, Army Vets from Alexander City, AL and Beaumont, TX respectively. Our parents gave us plenty of Love, Care and Exposure to Jesus Christ from children until adults. Daddy was stationed with all of us in tow in France, Germany, El Paso, San Antonio and so on. What a blessed life the U.S. Military (Army) afforded The Tuck Family. Thank you, Jesus!!!! We are still rocking all types of music, sharing our Love for Jesus Christ and being positive citizens in our respective Beaumont and Houston communities. Yeah man!!! (smile). Peace out and keep on rocking Third World.

Saw them in Tampa's Ybor City in 1986...with about 50 people. Some sort of special party and the girls were cookin' Ital in a big way. It was clear these were cool people and they sounded just like on the record...studio quality. Good friends and one of the prettiest girls around along too. Would sure like to go back there again y'all...
They just had a concert 3 days ago in my country of Suriname 🇸🇷 Had the chance to make a selfie with one of the members those guys are in their early 60's by now
I saw them in Regina, Saskatchewan at least 40 yrs ago and they were incredible. The most vivid memory of them is that they played Hendrix's "Machine Gun".
I pray that the spirit they ORIGINALLY came out with Jesus Christ. IS STILL WITH IN THEIR MINDS AND HEART'S. GOD BLESS YOU. I LOVE YULL WITH A SINCE OF PURPOSE. YOUR MUSIC CONTINUES TO INSPIRE me To Go On Trying Jah'S LOVE. Ride on brothers ride on!
Third World is my favorite reggae band because they keep it real and try to keep the people uplifted and into the spiritual aspects of life. Plus, their musicianship is the best ever. But ...what happened with this set list? This doesn't follow the set list at all after the first 6 or so songs... and it totally falls apart into kiddie-toddler music at the end. WTF?! Some of the songs play twice and we never hear You've Got the Power or Before You Make Your Move.; two of their very best! This needs a do-over.
Saw them whenever I could. San Francisco reggae on the river. Saw elderly people in the crowd and then they would pull out the base cello and bust out some classical Tunes ala Beethoven with a screaming guitar on top. ✌
It is great to discover this music, thanks a lot for that! Just wondering what happened after 1:35:49 . This sounds like some commercial tunes. Maybe they got there by accident?
I think it was early 2009 maybe, my buddy's daughter (indian) had a flyer, she was going to a buju banton concert she was about fourteen years old so excited, I read the flyer and third world was opening for buju banton??? I asked who was this buju banton? Anyway I knew then it was the beginning of the end. Fast forward a few years 2017, at our table tennis club another young girl (white) passed me wearing a bob marley tee. I asked her ..do you know him, she said not really but he was popular in reggae.I then asked her who is her favorite..she said buju banton!!!! I give up, the world is upside down
A Mercedes you know I have a a few years working with John but specially with the academic you don't give the tourist water won't worry you know in package and not even a cookie or something that they can just I mean all their money is going tight and you're going to keep her falling I'm trying to say that but that's the way it is but I love you and I'm getting there for you
