This series has definitely inspired me to go the uk countryside. Loved all the little villages! Also Downtom Abby is my go to chill show that makes me feel cozy. Just started watching it again and I love it, hope you guys love as well 💖
I am 31 and been feeling like this since I was like 18 and read pride and prejudice for the first time! Haha and Downtown Abbey is my favourite TV show of all times! You guys will absolutely love it!! Think Raya would have loved Bath, not sure of you guys had the chance to pass by but it is an incredible town
🦉 There is also a 3rd way of Enjoying Harry Potter, and that’s is with the audiobooks read by Stephen Fry. That is a whole experience in itself as the voices he does for the characters is amazing. I highly highly recommend listening to them 👍👌
Raya, I am 50 and I love HP too. And you are sooooo right! The books and the movies are both fantastic and so very different. Books are open to interpretation. Movies, not so much. Thanks for taking us to Hogwarts with you. Cannot wait to see what adventures await in Wales. Love and light from the East Coast of Canada♥
Downton Abbey series is addictive...once you start watching it and learning the characters...you can't stop! and then there's 2 movie sequels! You're gonna love it! Thank you for sharing the awesome travels vlogs, so many beautiful and historical places...it's amazing
I got the chills when you first showed the Hogwarts hall at Gloucester cathedral. Worked at the library through the years that the books came out and got to witness the excitement of all the kids, as well as the excitement of my own 2 children.
I LOVED Downton Abby. It’s not suspenseful or complicated. Its just simple and wholesome. Really easy to watch. And the characters are really lovable 🥰
You will love Downton Abby!! I had reservations about it but I ended up binging all the seasons in one weekend. Then streamed the movie. The movie was not my fave.
Raya I just love you so much! Your inside beauty makes your outside beauty shine bright! Thank you Louis for handling her like a gentle flower! ❤️❤️❤️❤️
I'm 47 and I definitely appreciate it more now as I've got older. When I was a child I use to get dragged around historical places because that's what my parents like doing. Love LofR, I'd happily live in the Shire 😁 I loved the HP books and the movies except for film 6, I was a little disappointed with the movie. If you haven't already, go check out the Warner Bros studios in London, you'll like it a lot I think 😊
Loved this , Iv spent many a time in those lovely villages. You should go to Highclere Castle, Newbury, it’s not far from where you are , it’s where they filmed Downtown Abbey. I loved the series and the funny One liners scripted to Dame Maggie Smith… plus try Go to Harry Potter studios Watford. Magical. Your certainly showing stunning and beautiful places of our little Island. Enjoy. X
OMG I have watched your videos for years and this is where i live i can’t believe you came here ! You parked your van down the road from my house! hope you guys enjoyed stroud!!
Don’t miss any of the Downton Abbey series and watch all the movie sequels too. I think it will be one of those types that you will enjoy rewatching in years to come.
As someone who grew up in a small cotswold hamlet, it was boring as all hell. They're really picturesque to visit and sure when you're older they can preferable to a city or seaside town, but if you're thinking about raising a child in a town like this, just be prepared to drive every where, drive them to meet their friends, drive them to school and back, drive them everywhere
I think you should watch Downton Abbey, a friend of mine told me to watch it but I postponed watching it because I thought I might not like it, so I finally got around to watching it and I love it!❤
I live in central Scotland (I often comment, whereever you are) and I’m sure you said you had to be back by August 22nd so I guess you’ve been to Scotland already but I spent last Friday on the train from Fort William to Mallaig over Glen Finnan viaduct (the Harry Potter bridge). I’ve been looking for your van for weeks with no success. I love Raya’s love for the UK and hope one day to bump into you while you are here.
Can’t believe you visited Gloucester, which is where I had my graduation at the Gloucester Cathedral and also I am getting married in Bibury soon! It’s such a picturesque village! ❤️
Me and my girlfriend walked past you right at the start as you were filming at Upper Slaughter! My girlfriend was in shock telling me you were big RU-vidrs lol. The Cotswolds are so pretty, hope you had as good time as we did!
i am totally giddy about your Harry potter love - my daughter is having a Harry potter party today, she is 10 (and i am totally stoked as i am a huge fan too) - so the love for the books keeps going!
YES! I am 31 and love those small cozy villages in the middle of nature. That's why i was attracted to Poland. It's full of hidden secrets. Like Muszyna or Kazimierz Dolny.. Kraków even feels like a village sometimes. So much history in Poland! My dad visited me last week and we went on a motorbike trip through small roads, villages and hills. Amazing! I know you've been to Poland briefly but you have to come back and experience more 🥰🥰 It's perfect for your overflowing hearts ❤ thank you for sharing your abundance and pure energy again 🤗
Raya I loved what you said about the books and movies. I love them both with my whole heart and I feel like if you compare them you can’t fully enjoy them each for what they are. If you have expectations for the movie to be just like the book you’ll be disappointed. Super big Harry Potter fan ☺️
I love all the little villages you guys are visiting!!!😍 Raya I love your dresses specially the white one with cute things on it.🥰 I love that your showing the place that inspired Lord of the rings. Mmmmm Omggg when you guys showed the church where they shot Harry Potter Scenes for the corridors... I was freaking out cause I also grew up with Harry Potter and I was the same age too as the characters. 🥰 It felt surreal seeying the real halls where they we're filmed.🤩 You guys are inspiring me to watch Downtown Abby, I did watch Brigerton and loved it so much and its up that alley.😊
I will be 57 next month and i am living vicariously thru video's like yur's! I really appreciate all the beauty you share with us!! I am looking so forward to you two building yur home and starting a family!! Raya, I and my oldest daughter think that you are one of the most naturally beautiful woman on YT!!! Louis is one lucky guy!! Thanks for sharing yur lives with us!! Take care and be safe out there!! 👍❣❣❤❤❤❣❣👍
I loooove Downtown Abbey! I think it's worth watching and that you'll like it❤️ Also I'm the same, with age comes the urge to spend time (alone) in nature and I appreciate old, quiet places more 😁
I'm loving watching these videos , it's lovely to find out so much more about you and all the things you loved as a child , my daughter was little when Harry potter came out so it was her childhood ,but we loved reading them to her and watching the film's , and creating fairy houses with her , it's great to see you enjoying the UK. X
Omg you’re going to LOVE downton abbey! Ahhh so amazing!!! You just have to get past the first few episodes to really get into it… because there are so many characters, the character development and figuring out all the plot lines takes a bit of time … it’s SO worth it! I love the commentary on how social issues were changing and how much it delves into important personal issues that are still relevant today.
Yes, I enjoyed Dowton Abbey. I watch television while I am doing other things so I tried to watch it a few years ago and couldn't focus on it enough to follow what was going on. I tried it again earlier this year and really enjoyed it. It gets better as the seasons go on. I don't want to ruin it for you so I won't mention any names but there are some despicable villains in this show. Boooooo. I hope they get what they deserve. LOL!
Ooo~ I am glad you know Emma and Alec. YT Soul Families Unite! Thank you for your work, you are a gloriously beautiful family (even though I cannot see baby Nesta yet...) ❤️.
I hope you both liked watching Downton Abbey! It is an AMAZING show and it now has 2 movies as well! I hope you both fall in love with it like i did! Enjoy!!!...btw I love both your energy and the types of people you are. You both are so amazing and inspiring!
Interesting fact about Upper Slaughter. There's no war memorial. Everyone from there returned home from both wars which is pretty unusual for British villages
Great little vid. Ca'nt help saying that you look like a "Bean field" veteran. Sure ya get the reference.......What happened to those "goodly souls" ? Did they go back to their "suburban semis", are there kids still "vanned" ? esp so in winter. Enjoy ya time on this earth, reckon you only get "one go at it". xx
Lovely video! Raya where did you get that beautiful veggie covered dress? Your dress collection is so gorgeous, I'd love to know if you have any go-to shops! And Downton Abbey is my favourite show of all time (I've seen it all about 3 times over!), it can be a slow watch at times, but if you like historical pieces and the aesthetics of it then it's so perfect for cozy nights!
Nice to see the Cotswolds making a feature, not far from me at all. If you get a chance to come further south, Wiltshire has 8 white horses scattered throughout the county.
You guys should watch The Hobbit series of movies all the way through to the Lord of the Rings The Return of the King I think she would really love it then you got to get the whole story.
I think these scenic landscapes are breathtaking. With that said, I do want to bring some focus to the fact that where there is light, there is often a whole unseen world of darkness. To all watching this vlog, please do not get me wrong. The UK is gorgeous. But all these picturesque lifestyles came at a very painful cost - colonization. The British Empire was one of the largest and cruelest out there. Countries like India bled (and are still recovering) from the riches, cultures, natural elements, people, and more taken from them. All the beauty was built on blood. While they enjoy the 3 trillion dollars (+) worth of resources stolen from India to make models of models, people in these countries barely have food on their plates. That is not to say that it shouldn't be enjoyed. I love these vlogs. I have never and will never doubt the intention of Raya and Louis who are merely experiencing the Universe's divinity. However, that experience is always incomplete without truth. Do your research, guys. No one teaches you this shit in school. Nothing but love x
We were laughing SO HARD at the mini village inside the mini village , we joked that there would be another one and then you said, too funny!! it's so cute! I could spend all day walking through those streets and going into every shop!
