Last 2 years I rode mainly Italy (TET mostly) and some of Austria. But never felt so welcomed as a biker as in Slovenia ! Tremendous nature, country and people ! Been through Triglav with buddies many years back and we were all shocked how beautiful Slovenia is. We were headed to Croatia so that was supposed to be the highlight but in the end it was Slovenia 100%. Italy has more beautiful landscapes (Dolomites of course) but is super-crowded. In Slovenia I feel you have everything - mountains, lakes, rivers, empty "fast" asphalt roads (so even sportbike riders will feel at home, 100km/h turns many many kilometres). And of course offroad, which is I think much harder than Italian TET mainly for bigger bikes (mud with uphill/downhill). Italian TET can be challenging too of course (met some really big and deep muddy puddles, steep rocky climbs with very tight turns etc.) but mostly it's very easy and fast gravel roads. Plus generally there is so many people everywhere in Italy, I didn't feel very welcomed.

Awesome video. Heading there in a week, but only with Pirelli Scorpions. Probably need to avoid that section by Steske. Is there a map with the Bivak locations? They look amazing, but I have no way to plan for them.

Promoting camping in the Landscape Park Zgornja Idrijca, specifically in the klavže structures listed on the UNESCO World Heritage List, in an eighth-minute video is not only illegal but also extremely irresponsible on your part. This area is a protected zone and a protected cultural monument, which you should have recognised if you visited it, as there is an informational signboard before entry. Such actions are also punishable by law, so I recommend that you remove the video.

Yeah.... I'm going to visit Slovenia in 3 weeks and was looking for the TET track and noticed, that it was reduced significantly (mostly the northern part, the loop near Tolmin is completely missing). Then I realized that it was due to behavior like this. I also saw a video from Slovenian news channel and they specifically mentioned this video. It's a shame that because of some people lacking any evidence of respect, soon there will be not much left from the TET routes. The original idea of TET traveling was great, but I feel it's getting to the point where riding off the road will be more and more restricted or even prohibited. As a rider, I think it's a shame, BUT I also understand that. Not respecting national parks and cultural monuments is just bad. Also, many individuals think they can behave like on an offroad race track....for example, not considering that they ride in places where often cyclists and hikers go. And walking through the nature with your family and having to constantly pay attention for light enduro bikes flying by, is not good thing...
