5:10 of all the crashes here this was the most painful. there's a thing called hans device that goes around the neck of the pilot and under the helmet. its purpose is to prevent the head from snapping the neck in case of a crash. the hans device has saved so many lives its possibly the most important safety implement ever conceived for racing purposes.
