1st game, opponent lost 4 or 5 tempi because of mouse slip. Teaching from this game isnt very instructive. Imho. 2nd game 19:10 white should move 7. dxe5 then if dxe5 then 8.Nc4 forks the pawn, which is now double attacked and protected only by the Queen, which means the win of a pawn. You didn't catch until move 11. While going into the Colle-Zukertort is nice, one shouldn't overlook elementary tactics, imho. Nice trap in game 3 while you are also great at calling out the beginner moves before they make them. And in game 4 just a well played game full of great explanation. "With that being said, I think we can move on to the following game." Look forward to your speed run to 2500 with the Colle-Zukertort.

d4 c6 can easily transpose to slav which is very solid repsonse to d4, not semislav tho - that is too locked and boring for me. Also London seems to have much more attacking potential than Colle/Colle-Zuckertort (btw it means sugar cake in german)

Whoa Alex you went into NSFW territory there about 1:55. I get your point that the Caro is probably not going to work well vs. d4. The Colle though is very much like the London, which is fashionable to rip on. I'm not ready to give up on it completely, there might still be some good lessons there for early intermediate and beginning players. I've never seen anyone really crush the London, and I think it takes very sharp, advanced play to "refute" it and I think refute is a strong word. It's not my #1 White opening but I can see you'd recommend something else.

In 2nd game, your opponent played the Czech Pirc defense. I play the Pirc and that variation was a poor choice. When you bring out the Queen, it's to piin the Knight on C3 which you didn't develop. The mainline Pirc is a better choice IMHO.

When I see 1.d4, I go c6 all the time because at my skill level, the Slav transposes into a Botvinnik advance Caro-Kann like 95% of the time. (2.e4 d5 3.e5 c5) Same with the old Benoni if I mouse slip and go c5 instead. Because they’ll usually just blindly go 2.e4 and I’ll go d5 in the smith morra gambit position. But THEN my opponent will go e5 transposing into a weird Botvinnik advance except I’ll have the initiative. Once i get above 2200 I’ll just have to buckle down and finally learn the Sicilian to play this better, but for now; this works.

Expanding your sharp, tactical repertoire to the vicious Colle-Zuckertort is such a London player thing to do 😂 Which is exactly why I started learning it 😅 One issue with it is that it's seemingly not viable against Bf5 and g6 systems. Other than that, it's pretty annoying and scary for Black when you cement the Pillsbury knight and all sorts of sacrifices become possible.
@AlexBanzea
