A fun, but totally unrelated fact: started watching the video with subtitles switched on, and every time someone says "lob", it's auto-subtitled as "love". Made the whole video a lot more fun :)
Great tips lesson thank you. I am new to Spain and Padel from a squash and tennis background and although I hope I am learning quickly it is very helpful to have certain tips to work on each time I play . Thanks
PERFECT coaching video! And timing is great for ME as I have been working out all of these issues recently myself so I absorbed like a sponge every word from this video. Already watched it 3 times but will watch it again and again. MUCHAS GRACIAS !!!
Really, really, really good video. First video I came across that touches so many different aspects of playing lob. I am newbie, so most likely I will have to come back to this one every month or two, but it's pure gold. Great job, amigos! Vamos!
Awesome video! I love playing the lob, but I need to be careful not to pick up bad habits. At my lower level, a lot of players think they can smash, but actually make way more mistakes trying than they hit winners. So especially when I see a smash-happy player I caught myself playing them slightly too short lobs to tempt them into smashing... Reeaaaally backfires against better players though
Another great video for you two guys! Playing on the right side it is very nice to know that the lob is more imporant than the smash, because the lob i can do pretty good, the smash not so much :)
Thank you once again! Very good video! German Schafer delivers once again. Just an idea for the next video is to add an extra stationary camera or two to show the example shots. Much love!
Next time, please show more examples and video angles how you place the lob. This time it was to much focused on only you two talking. Much more examples please! But still good video :)
hey great video .... am the one who uses the slice lob and will change that also short flat lob was helpful.... have improved so much since last month only after seeing your tutorial videos .... vamos !!!!!!!
I have some doubts with the globe because my opponents have a very good “bajada” when the ball arrives to the back glass… and if try to make it lower or reduce the speed they have a very good high hit and the smashes are finishers. If I play low.. they start getting more and more closer to the net and make them easier to play the definitive volley. So, where do we have to play the globe with this type of players? Do we have to play the globe more to the corner? Do you recommend to continue sending the globe to the center/left shoulder of the right player? High globe? How we can make the globe to stay closer to the back glass to avoid those great “bajadas”? Thanks.
You should aim the lob around the service line, in the center. If they let it bounce the ball will be stuck against the glass. They are not able to play the bajada
Hey, any tips how to lob down the line(along the fence) and not to hit the fence ? Often it is pretty uncomfortable to catch that angle due to the angle the ball is coming to you.
Well… than you might be playing lobs on shots that you shouldn’t lob. Try a straight lob on softer shots or shots where you can use the glass with. If you play on the right, only lob straight with your forehand if you are right handed. And the other way around.
If possible a video where to aim to set up points from the right and another video where to aim to set op points from the left. Maybe learn us some standard tactics we can use.
I hear alot of people saying that the lobb is the most important shot in padel. Imo the lobb is a vital part of the game and needs to work on, but the volley is what wins me points! How do I hit more volleys? By hitting better lobbs ofc but also better badeja and better chiquita! So I cant say the lobb is the most important shot alone!
@@OtroNivelPadel yes, and the lobb is a goid way to take the net, but alos with the chiquita. And when you got the net you need to keep it with good volley and bandeja and so on! Yes you need a good lobb ofc.
My partner does it a few times per match and I dont like it! Its high risk low reward imo! If you do it 5 times per game I guess the result will be like 2 fails, 1 winner and 2 neutral balls, if you do a normal lobb the result should be 5 neutral balls, and thats how Ilike it!
Your video is fully completed. During wpt games a couple of times i have listened speaking about bande-globo: getting out a globo with bandeja preparation
Thank you for all this effort. As you mentioned best lob aim spot is in the center and abit inside the right side court. But this won't be that useful with left-hand player playing in there right side of the court. Once, again amazing content and you guys kept improving our padel... Bitchooooo
Goede video maar was een beetje verbaasd bij 23.26 toen je een topspin lob suggereerde. Dat is een tennisslag maar geen logische keuze op een padelbaan..
Great video, your questions, and German explanation make it so easy to understand. I am not used to hitting low balls so good to know when I should use it instead of lobs.
